Little Club NYC #3

A Little Submission

Rate this book
There’s only one thing that brings a Little party animal to his knees…

Damon’s burning the candle at both ends: DJ by night, energetic Little Club member by day. His partying lifestyle has begun to take its toll. Caffeine addiction, constant jitters, bags under his eyes big enough to store a lifetime of stuffies in.

That’s when Damon makes a grave mistake. In a tired stupor, he almost burns the Little Club to the ground. In the process, he angers the one man that terrifies him more than anyone else.

Striker, the owner of the Little Club, is not a man you mess with. Ex-Navy SEAL Striker values nothing more than self-discipline and self-control. Though he considers himself a Daddy Dom, he takes pride in the fact that he has never allowed himself to be in a DDlb relationship. Not because he disapproves – far from it – but because a chaotic Little could disrupt his regimented existence.

And there’s no one as chaotic as Damon.

Though Striker has always harbored an inconvenient crush on Damn, he has never acted on it. And when Damon almost burns down his place of work, he’s only too pleased to banish him from the club for good.

But what happens when Striker starts to miss the Little’s disruption? Will he finally let Damon close? And in doing so, is Damon about to learn Striker’s long list of downright shocking kinks?

This is an MM Age Play romance featuring consenting adults who are perfect for each other. It includes spanking and other impact play, suspense, sweetness, and a full-blooded Happy Ever After. Enjoy!

A Little Club NYC book that can be enjoyed as a standalone with no cliffhanger.

I absolutely loved the third book in the Little Club NYC series. Now Age Play books are not usually my thing, but I took a chance on this one and I can honestly say, I didn't regret a moment of it. Add in a HEA, which I always love, and you get an intense MM read!

Damon is in a bind. He's working himself into the ground trying to keep up with the only lifestyle he knows. And it's starting to wear him down. Unfortunately, this results in him being kicked out of the Little Club after he almost burns the club down, and angers the one man who both terrifies him and makes the Little in him sit up and pay attention.

Striker is the owner of the Little Club, An ex-Navy SEAL Daddy Dom who you would never want to mess with. His self-discipline and self-control is legendary. Despite the fact that he owns the club, he has never been in a DDlb relationship. Simply because having a Little would throw his self-control and self-disciple to the wayside.

Even though Striker has always held an attraction to Damn, he refuses to act on it. And after Damon's grave mistake, he takes the opportunity handed to him and banishes him from the club for good. What he wasn't expecting was to miss the chaotic Little and the light he brought into his life.

Striker will have to make a choice. Open his heart and let go of the tight grip he has on his self-discipline and self-control, or risk losing the one thing he has always secretly wanted...

This is a nice story full of drama and troubles. Damon and Striker both had a hard time finding a partner to fit them. They had to work very hard to make their relationship work. With a lot of help from their friends they managed.

Sometimes you must be firm when dealing with littles and Damon right now needs a firm, understanding and loving daddy to help guide him because you see he is a little who is burned out working two jobs, drinking too much coffee which is preventing him from resting in between both jobs and he has reached his breaking point when it comes to needing rest. Damon knew he was too tired to work yet felt he needed to and one mistake of almost burning down the club lands in him some hot water. Striker a sexy daddy and the club owner is a retired Navy Seal and really doesn’t or can’t tolerate mess up, he can be and know for being very no-nonsense attitude towards everything/everyone. Deep inside he knows he is a daddy, but he also understands not many littles can handle his way, so he keeps to himself for the most part. The moment he meets Damon he knows he needs a firm hand and he knows that a baby boy like Damon would ruin his way of neatness, control, just about everything due to his little behavior but on the other hand he likes Damon and the daddy in him know he must step in to save Damon from himself (or that what he tells himself 😊) he has always crushed on his little but never acted on it but when he almost burns down the club he forbids him to return to the club. But Striker never knew he could miss his boy’s chaotic ways, his smile, just missing him all together he also knows he must step in giving his boy the directions and care he needs but after being kicked out of the club will Damon forgive him, will he accept the help he so badly needs, and can this daddy get his boy onboard for happiness?

OK, so this book has so many tropes at once, it's almost too much.

First, our little hero has a friend who was part of the "advanced trigonometry society" in high school, and almost got a full ride to an Ivy. The former does not exist (like, what, exactly, do the members do? There can be math club. There can be math team. There can be computer club. But "advanced trigonometry?"), and the latter do not either (Ivy League schools don't give academic scholarships; just fixing this, combined with endless worship of MIT students who graduate with three degrees at age 18 or whatever, would go a long way toward making this genre less absurd; in the real world, the rare students who start at truly elite universities at 16 or younger tend to have terrible mental health). Also, he uses a coffeemaker that makes no sense, but that's neither here nor there.

Then we meet the daddy, who is (I know!) an ex-SEAL who stopped being a SEAL because of some tragic something-or-other involving a dog. At times, I wonder whether gay SEALs are more over-represented (relative to the real world) in m/m romance than are gay werewolves. But of course, we get all kinds of "he knows how to do everything; he's an ex-SEAL". Oh, and his name is Striker. (Actually, that's kind of mild by m/m romance weirdness standards.)

So that's too much, for starters. And then: "As much as Striker may have been attracted to Damon’s sleight body and cute, seductive charms, he knew he had to resist.”

Normally, "sleight" refers to things we don't see, not those we do. Nope, I think it's time to leave this author behind. Enjoy, all.

I enjoy a little and daddy thrope. I love
reading the previous books in this daddy and little series. However I have a harder time connecting as a reader with especially Striker. I findd his backstory a bit to predictable. The other stories in my opinion have more original back story.
Damon and Striker know eachother and after a disastrous night they sign a contract for a daddy dom and a little sub. They hit some roadblocks and need to (re-) evaluate themselves and the choices they made and need to make. With the support of their friends and trust in themselves again they find their hfn/ hea.

Via Booksprout I kindly received an arc for my enjoyment and honest review.

I loved A Little Submission by Zane Fox. It's the third book in the Little Club NYC series. I loved Damon and Striker's story. They both have issues that they need help dealing with, so there were ups and downs in their relationship, but that made the story seem more real. I think Striker should have utilized Adonis's expertise more with his PTSD and stress eating. Overall, I loved that Striker and Damon got their HEA.

The writing style just didn't work for me. Along with not liking Striker at all.
He's brash, overconfident and just an ass. He prides himself with keeping calm in stressful situations but then yells out, and pushes people aside as he runs around his club like a headless chicken when it's on fire. Instead of making sure his patrons came out in one piece.

As soon as he took a sudden 180 this early when it came to Damon I knew the rest of the book wouldn't be for me.

This beautiful story of a Grump Daddy and rambunctious little Damon had me begging for more. The two of them end up being exactly what each other need to heal and make better life choices. There is steam, angst that brought tears to me eyes and an ending I didn't see coming. Overall this was a great book.

This is a wonderful story and the two MCs are flawed but with good hearts! They find in each other what is missing in their life. I didn't read the first two but I don't think you need to, to enjoy this one.

I couldn’t connect with the characters. The book seemed to have all the tropes I love but it just didn’t hold my attention. Couldn’t finish it.

You may like it.

I skipped a lot

By 7% the word SEAL was beginning to feel overused. At 10% I was just about over it. I gave up somewhere around 35% and started skipping along looking for a reason to continue. It just wasn’t for me.

Where to start
It is so brilliant to read about these three Littles once again.
Damon is burning the Candle at both ends he is a DJ which he totally adores But his sleep pattern is all over the place. He is surviving on coffee just to make it through the night. When he should be sleeping he’s meeting up with his best friend Sammy and Kurt So they can have play dates at the little club where he works, and they all hang out with her daddy Doms. He’s forever getting in trouble with the manager and part owner striker. So he knows to make sure he sets run perfectly.
Striker is an ex-Navy Seal and he lives his life as if he’s still in the military. A lot of bad stuff happened when he served his country and they affect his everyday life. But Damon seems to rub him up the wrong way. Well let’s be honest he really thinks he’s cute but he doesn’t want a little yes he is a daddy Dom but his life is easier by himself. But then something happens.
Damon is playing a set at the club that night when he is so tired he leaves his station to cat nap just for a few minutes. In that time he had forgotten that he had set a candle alight By his DJ equipment and he managed to set the club on fire and if it wasn’t for striker he would’ve died because he was hidden underneath a pile of coats. Striker is so mad that he sacked Damon and then banishes him from the club. Damon runs off and striker knows he’s gone too far.

Striker then goes to his apartment to find him to make sure he is okay and when he gets there and sees what a mess he’s apartment is, his life he tells him to come with him and this is where they come up with a deal but it’s a secret.
This is so good honestly the chemistry between these two is just off the charts we find out so much more about striker and more about the kinks that these two have. But would there be a future for them together?? or are they just too different but sometimes opposites attract and give you the best outlook on life. A really good friend.

This is part of the Little Club New York City series with a little who needs his boom, boom tanned for various reasons and a daddy who is more than happy to the issuer of the punishments. Damon is working from sunup to sundown which of course isn’t good but being a little without a daddy especially with his best friends having daddies made him want a daddy to but getting wasn’t that easy. Striker sexy ex-navy seal who lives his life in a very private manner, owner of the little club and employs Damon as a DJ until one night due to lack of sleep the little he employed nearly burned down his club thus forcing him to show a side he rarely shows but even through his anger he could see the little needed something more than just his anger and scaring littles wasn’t the kind of man he wanted to be or the daddy he wanted to be. After that one night Striker knows as a daddy he needs to reach out to Damon fixing the issues with this wild little so he both deciding a contract is needed daddy dom and little but all isn’t easy as they both initial thought but they both learn so much about themselves while navigating their relationship the attraction is like nothing either of them have felt but it is also what keeps them trying to make it work because there is no other little and he is no stranger to working hard so that means working to be the daddy his little needs but is it enough, will he be able to get his little on schedule, eating like he should, sleeping like he should, creating balance, is he the forever daddy needed, and can he like his friends find the happiness he desperately wants/needs?.

This is the third book in the Little Club of NYC series. It can be enjoyed as a standalone but you would get more out of it if you read it as part of the series. This is the story of Damon and Striker. Damon is a little and a DJ. He stays up late for his jobs, hyped up on caffeine and doesn't take care of himself. He is existing on coffee and candy and not getting enough sleep. Striker is one of the owners of the Little Club and the daily manager. He is not known for a smiling face and cheerful attitude. Grumpy is usually the first thought that people have. No one realizes that he is fighting demons from his past as well. Damon needs order and routine and Striker is so routine regimented that he comes across as a control freak. Both of these men need the other. Damon needs discipline and Striker needs to learn how to relax. This is their story. The book is well written and easy to read. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Damon needs someone to take control of his life. It looks like Striker might be the person to do it, but Striker has his own problems and secrets, I really enjoyed this book.

I am absolutely loving this book, the story and the characters were so mesmerising with Little Club NYC. Striker was an ex-navy seal that keeps his private life private until a little came into his life. Damon is a little he has never had a Daddy, so when he sees his best friends Sammy and Kurt being happy with their Daddy he wishes he had one. Damon is a DJ for the Little Club but Damon was so tired not sleeping so when he gets to the Littles Club was when he wanted to sleep until he set the club alight, Striker feels guilty for yelling at Damon, can he forgive Damon for the fire.

I enjoyed this book. I really loved the dynamic between Little Damon and Striker. Damon was exhausted working all day and night and nearly set the club on fire when he fell asleep with a lit candle. Striker owns the club and was furious that he almost lost everything and people were in danger because of Damon's recklessness. Striker is very controlled, strict, and likes things precise. After firing Damon, he couldn't just leave him so lost on his own, and brought him home to help him get some rest and order. 4 stars.

Damon is a well known DJ in the Little scene of NYC and he has been struggling lately with insomnia. Striker is a tightly strung Ex Navy Seal who does everything to a precise degree but he is feeling the stress lately. One night there is a fire at the club and it seems that everything is about to change. I really enjoyed Striker and Damon's story and their connection as well as Striker dealing with PTSD. I can't wait to read the next book by this author.

This book continues the series of the Littles Club and Damon’s search for a Daddy to care for him. Damon manages to get himself in trouble through his own carelessness, and his BFFs Sammy and Kurt are there to help him get in trouble as well as support him. The characters are familiar and it is easy to invest in Damon’s desire for a Daddy of his own as he confronts situations of his own making as well as ones beyond his control, leading to his own HEA. A good continuation of the series.
