As a church prayer coordinator, I often receive prayer requests to send out to our prayer team that ask for wisdom for decisions or complicated relationship issues. God's Word is filled with wisdom that can guide our hearts, minds, and souls. So I was delighted to see that the newest Bible study in the Discovering the Bible series is Discovering Wisdom in Proverbs.

I love everything about this book and the whole series--the strong teaching, the questions that make me dig into Scripture, the personal reflections, and the varied opportunities to express myself creatively. As with the earlier studies in this series, this new one truly teaches the book of Proverbs, and readers will grow in faith and understanding as they dig into its richness. I recommend it highly!

I saw this book on FB and immediately ordered it. Then one day as I was writing my responses during my study, my husband looked over my shoulder out of curiosity. He liked what he saw, so I ordered one for him along with the study of the Old Testament (a topic he loves). This study guide is phenomenal.

Also in talking about dating for marriage. I discuss how to avoid dating a fool. The fool is described in over 50 scriptures. Many of these scriptures are in Proverbs. Thank you ladies.

Another great book in this series by Pam Farrel and other talented authors/artists. It's rare to find a solid Bible study that's also beautiful and practical - with coloring pages to boot! A nice size with good paper weight for colored pencils or markers. Divided into chunks so you can study as much or as little as you have time to do each day. Great resource for individuals or groups.

A very well done study of Proverbs for the lay person. It is definitely oriented toward women. This will especially appeal to those who like to incorporate some creativity in their study.

I completed Discovering Wisdom in Proverbs: A Creative Devotional Study Experience on August 17, 2023. It is beautiful and thorough. I love the format with Jean E. Jones' cultural, historical, Hebrew, and Greek information, Pam Farrel's anecdotes and application, and Karla Dornacher's creative touch. This Bible study is not fluff. It digs deep into the heart and soul and helps the willing reader see oneself as God does. As I finished the last activity and followed the directions, I felt overflowing gratitude for what God has shown me and how with His help I applied wisdom to challenging situations over the past few weeks.

Thank you so much, Pam, Jean, and Karla for writing this collaborative Bible study. I was blessed to receive an ARC.
