On the strength of the first Nitty Gritty Bread Machine Cookbook, I picked this one up, and it’s just as good, with a focus on more unique recipes. There are cheese breads, spice breads, vegetable and fruit breads, and a series of international and holiday breads, such as Italian Easter Bread (Parmesan and pepper), English New Year’s Rum Bread, Swedish Chocolate Bread, Moroccan Bread (anise, sesame, and rye), and more.
So far it’s made some great breads. The one that uses leftover rice was surprisingly light, and the one with cracked wheat and oats, now that I’ve made it, tastes like it’d be even better as rolls.
