Dr. Johanna Budwig was the one who discovered the benefits of omega-3. She has been pivotal in our own research (Health Wyze Media). Yet, very few people know anything about her, because the medical establishment has so thoroughly censored her work. The reason for the censorship was her discovery that cancer can be cured easily, cheaply, and without any drugs (using a nutritional therapy only). For a while, she became the top enemy of the medical system, due to the fact that cancer is the medical industry's most profitable segment, and the fact that it does not want cures found. In her troubling research, she found that the so-called "healthy alternatives" that are recommended by doctors, such as replacing butter with margarine, upset the omega balance in the body to actually cause most of our modern epidemics through severe inflammation. This includes two of the big three: cancer and heart disease. In addition to proving the benefits of omega-3, her research shows that the most dangerous thing any patient can do is follow the nutritional advice of his doctor. She was nominated six times for the Nobel Prize in medicine, and she deserved it. Her work was a continuation of the work by Nobel Prize winner, Doctor Otto Warburg. His cancer research has likewise been censored from the medical journals and textbooks for being too unfriendly to business interests.

As most scientists do, Budwig writes in technical language that's over my head unless I look something up. However, this is one of the books I read that saved me from death by traditional cancer treatment. She discovered why people have these diseases and how easy it is to reverse them. This book is an account of her theories and the proving of them with actual cases. It's apparently meant for the medical community who should have been excited to learn what she knew. Instead, they tried to buy her out, and when she wouldn't sell, they tried to squash her. What she learned would mean the end to their profits.

Good overall... I guess I just expected something else. I thought there would be more specifics on the diet, how much cottage cheese and flax seed oil to consume daily... The translation was at times awkward. Still an interesting read. But if you want specifics on the protocol (which is more than just flax seed oil & cottage cheese) you'll want to also get "The Oil-Protein Diet). Another excellent resource is a yahoo group devoted to the Budwig Protocol.

June 8, 2021A little difficult to read at times due to the translation from German and that these are her lectures, but really such intriguing and exciting concepts that I hope research will continue to further validate. Dr. Budwig has proven in her research of vitamin D and polyunsaturated fats that she always lived ahead of her time... and often ridiculed by the ignorant

May 9, 2013Javaczuk went on this diet exclusively after his cancer. It's very effective, but the recipes are all really boring. We now cook using these principles, but luckily, my use of seasonings, herbs, and spices is much more extensive.
Packing away now as we declutter the house, preparing to put it on the market.
