This book was written with the sole aim of bringing the good news of successful "biological" treatments to millions of arthritis sufferers, and freeing them from their hopelessness and desperation. The author, an internationally known naturopathic doctor and nutritionist, studied these biological treatments in many leading clinics in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, England and Finland.
This book was written in the 1960's by a naturopathic doctor. I was surprised at how much of what he had to say then is common today among naturopath health advice. I did feel that some of his recommendations (based on success stories at clinics in Europe) were quite extreme, including the fasting and the enemas two or three times a day. It would be hard to put much of this into practice without finding the right medical person to help you. But for the person suffering from excruciating, debilitating arthritis, the information contained therein might warrant further investigation. I did pick up a few helpful tips that anyone can incorporate into their lifestyle, like the importance of rest, fresh air, exercise, reducing stress - all of which could help the arthritic sufferer.
It would be worth it to try these simple ideas. Fasting doesn’t sound like fun but doesn’t cost much. The diet isn’t too bad and exercise is always good.
This book opened my eyes on how our diet can transform and heal our bodies. This started my research of different types of food that cause inflammation in the body.
