Trance Wilson was terribly bullied during his first year of senior high up to the brink of death. He missed a year of schooling being hospitalized and comatose. When he regains consciousness, he refuses to testify against those who bullied and gang-raped him. He has to start senior high all over again having to see the faces of those offenders again. Yes, he's back to school... But this time, he has the devil by his side and he's about to bring hell with him.Included in second offshoot and extra chapters.
The cover is the only reason this got even one star honestly. I didn't get past the first page. Usually when the writing is bad I'd eventually get used to it and I don't mind it much. But I swear this one is so far past bad writing I don't even know how to describe it.
A very promising story. I have to admit I did like the thought of Trance being talked into getting revenge against those who raped him and left him for dead and everyone who facilitated the event to occur. Even more I liked what William (The Devil) revealed at the very end and why he had to have Trance. The story was very compelling and unraveled to show readers why Trance was getting his revenge against every individual on his list. Please note: the rape wasn't explicit and mostly off page.
The only reasons the rating isn't higher is because this story is in need of an editor. There are many grammatical mistakes. It really messed with the flow of the story and brought me out of the head space so I could note where the mistakes were. Within the same paragraph and sometimes sentences a contradiction occurs. For example: there was a part in the story where Peter says "I didn't see him for a whole year since he is in coma. I sneak into the hospital to check on him sometimes and then went back home crying...." The first sentence indicates he didn't visit Trance for a year. Then the next indicates he did go visit Trance in that year he was in a coma.
Even saying all that, I liked this story and will probably read another story from this author.
Yeah... so there is no editing. It's rather atrocious actually, so if small mistakes and spelling errors grate on your nerves, DO NOT pick this up. It's bad. It'll make your eyes burn... however I did push through and ignored all the mistakes and really, fixed it in my head, lol, and I have to say that I liked the story overall.
An extremely dark, disturbing tale of school bullying, rape, and revenge. Trance sells his soul to the devil for the power and strength to wreak revenge and havoc on his tormentors, proving that the cruelty from high school teens can be, at times, unparalleled, pushing somebody to extreme measures. I've seen reviews complaining of the editing, not sure if they are talking of the Kindle version or not, I've read tons of Kindle stories and they nearly all need better editing, but just read the paperback version of this tale, it's not bad, a little bit of bad editing, but it didn't bug me. Such a dark topic to write of but it worked, it kind of smacked of those Final Destination movies, grim stuff but you can't help but keep reading.
