James W. Cornett is a desert ecologist. He is a retired Director of Natural Science at the Palm Springs Desert Museum. He has published forty-five books and dozens of scientific papers. His work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Riverside Press-Enterprise, the Arizona Republic, and the Desert Sun.
