”Say yes, Dahlia.”

Imagine this, you tipsily confess your hot and heavy tree climbing feels for the star quarterback you’re crushing on at a party, someone films it, and it goes viral. Now, imagine all that and you’re usually a pretty reserved wallflower. Yeah. Welcome to Dahlia’s life.

All that said, now the hot QB, Felix wants to fake date to “help Dahlia break out of her shell and get past the backlash from the viral video,” yeah sure buddy. ANYWAY. I don’t want to say much more than that since we are getting into spoiler territory, but I adored this story. It’s fake romance gold. Felix is so sweet to Dahlia, but he also turns on the spicy swoon at the perfect times. For me Dahlia was incredibly relatable. I can be fun with my friends, but in a crowded room I’m a little more reserved. I love that she breaks out of her shell and lets the confidence she has inside of her shine. Plus, these two are just so cute together. It’s the mutual pinning for me if I’m honest. It takes it next level.

As per usual Jenshak provides that found family vibe that she does so well. Dahlia and the rest of the friends living in the wallflower house just give me life. I’ve already read Daisy and Violet’s stories, so it was fun getting little updates of them and seeing them still having that bond and closeness with Dahlia and Jane. There’s just something about them making each other a priority even though they are doing their own things and falling in love that adds something special to this series.

Anyway. Scoring the Player was college fake date perfection for me. I loved both Dahlia and Felix, and I thought their story was the perfect amounts of sweet, heat, and emotion.

5 Stars

I couldn’t wait for Felix and Dahlia’s book and it didn’t disappoint.

What I loved:
1. This girl group is top notch, one of my favorite friend groups. They completely support each other in all things.
2. Felix is such a great mix of confident and sweet, and I love a football player hero.
3. These two have such great chemistry. Normally I need a ton of conflict and angst, which is not a Jenshak thing normally (and it isn’t in this one either), but the banter and chemistry of her couples keeps me entertained. I always find I don’t miss it with her books.
4. The conflict was perfect for them. No outside drama or people affecting them, just them needing to come to terms with some stuff.
5. I loved the confidence he gave her and how she showed him he is so much more than a star football player.

I’m not sure I can make the claim I loved it more than Gavin and VI’s book but let’s just say it’s tied.

****if you love audio, check this out. It has amazing narrators. Definitely recommend it. I moved between ebook and audio because I didn’t want to stop reading when I had to do other things.

A shy heroine and a kind hero, I'm sold!
Rebecca Jenshak delivered a nice, humorous and spicy novel, I didn't want to put down.

Scoring The Player brings us back to the Valley U campus, the parties, the hot jocks and the beautiful girls that capture their hearts.

Dahlia Brady is attracted to the famous quaterback Felix Walters, she never had the courage to talk to him, even when he tried to spark a conversation. But at the begin of the new academic year a video where Dahlia speaks highly and lustfully of Felix is posted on the net, and now she has to overcome her embarrassment and speak to him.

I loved every moment of Felix and Dahlia's story. I already knew I would have liked Dahlia, her timid personality is akin to mine. I felt bad for her misadventure, that put her on the spot, but I adored how Felix helped her, putting her at ease crowded party after crowded party. Felix surprised me, becoming my favourite hero of this series. He is a very sweet guy, he understands Dahlia and never push her to do something she isn't comfortable to do.

I've had a good time reading this book and I highly recommend it.

🎧🎧AUDIO REVIEW🎧🎧

#Sidenote #FunFact: When the opportunity to listen & review this title came up, I was able to go back to the beginning of this series and #binge all three titles because of my Scribd subscription and it was delightful!! However, today is all about Felix & Dahlia so let’s chat about their awesomeness!

It has been a while since a New Adult series as a whole sucked me in as intensely as the Campus Wallflowers and I am giddy with excitement for more. That rarely happens with me so it’s worth noting! :)

Not only were Felix & Dahlia an easy couple to get lost in, but so was their storyline. I loved everything about it, from beginning to end! The set-up was beyond perfect especially for a ”wallflower” and I thought it was so genius that it elevated my respect for Rebecca Jenshak’s skills as a writer. My experience with her has been limited compared to her backlist, but thus far it has always been positive!

Entertaining, sweet, sexy, humorous, and so full of heart, it would be a shame for any reader to miss out on this story or this series! I find myself still smiling a week later writing this review! The secondary characters not only enhanced Felix & Dahlia’s journey, but they also enhanced the story as a whole. They added the proper comradery you should expect from a story/series with this type of trope and themes. Honestly, I could listen to it all over again and it’s only been a week! Of course, it helps that Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon are both fantastic narrators and quite good at bringing stories to life!

This was a 5+ STAR experience for me and I can’t wait for the next wallflower!

(ARC provided by Valentine PR)

Dahlia Brady is in her junior year at Valley University. She has a great group of friends, but she's been a bit of a wallflower since freshman year. It's the first week of school, and she's determined this year is going to be different. She's prepared to be spontaneous and step out of her comfort zone. She wants to go to parties, talk to guys, and not be awkward. She needs to stop waiting for life to happen and put herself out there more, but a viral video that was to be a private conversation between friends was not what she had in mind. Now everyone seems to know who she is and heard in detail how she wants to climb the QB of the Valley U football team like a tree. She's embarrassed and horrified her crush knows her most intimate thoughts about him. Felix Walters is every girl's fantasy. He's a a gorgeous senior, and the most popular athlete at Valley U. They share mutual friends, and every time he's near she freezes up and can hardly speak to him. Now she's in the spotlight and he wants her to be his fake girlfriend. Suddenly she's hanging out with the hottest guy on campus. As she gets to know him better pretending starts to feel real. Is it all for show, or is he actually into her?

Scoring the Player by Rebecca Jenshak is the third book in the Campus Wallflowers series. It's a slow burn, fake dating, friends to lovers, college sports romance full of amazing chemistry, flirty banter and delicious tension. I really love this seires and have been looking forward to Felix's story since the Holiday with the Players novellas about his sisters. Felix and Dahlia were perfect together! Now we just need a book for Jane! <333

I really enjoyed reading this book, it’s my first one but definitely not the last from Rebecca Jenshak! 🌼

This was such a fun story and soo easy to read. It reminded me a bit of the Off-Campus series from Elle Kennedy that so many people love. If you love that series you should definitely read these books! 💕

I fell in love with the characters and the found family aspect was so good!!

The story starts with Dahlia, she was at a party with her friends and talked about her major crush on Felix Walters. She didn’t know it but the whole conversation got recorded and not long after that, it went viral. Felix has problems with his ex-girlfriend and that's why he wants to start an agreement with Dahlia that would benefit them both..

I liked the design aspect itn this book and Felix was such a perfect male character! ✨

Thank you to Valentine PR, Rebecca Jenshak and the publisher for providing me with this copy. All opinions are my own.

(audiobook+ebook) To this day, I haven’t been disappointed with any book by this author. Sure, sometimes they don’t work as well, but they’re always sweet and sexy reads. This one is way more than that.

We met Felix in the previous book–and saw him and his sisters in another series–and he’s always shown interest in Dahlia, the quiet one amongst the wallflower girls. His time to shine has come. He’s a jock, he’s popular, he’s a bit of a player since he broke up with his last girlfriend, but he’s also a great teammate and friend, and he’s nice to Dahlia.

Dahlia is also an athlete, a golf player, but also a fashion designer. Speaking to guys is difficult to her, and speaking to Felix is almost impossible. Besides their love for sports, they couldn’t be more different. So the trick for the author was to find some common ground, and she manages. Felix and Dahlia shares some experiences, but most importantly, Dahlia is being mildly bullied, and it strikes Felix’s protective streak. The solution? Starting a fake relationship, to keep her protected, and to help her with her social, and romantic, interactions.

I loved that they were fighting against their growing feelings–mostly attraction at first–while learning more about each other. You can actually see them fall in love, in a sense. They show each other sides they usually keep to themselves. They grow into themselves, until their relationship is said fake only because they decided to call it so. Because, frankly, they are a real couple almost from the beginning. It’s just that they need to become mature enough to accept it. This book is their journey.

While Felix’s changes are more subtle–mostly he learns that making his dreams come true doesn’t mean forgetting all other aspects of his life–Dahlia’s are spectacular. Felix’s praises, and her own accomplishments during their relationship, make her realize that she’s worth it, and she ends up standing up for herself. Dahlia claiming Felix was the hottest thing I’ve read in a while.

One of Dahlia’s changes is losing her virginity, and it’s a journey on its own. She has zero experience with boys, and her fake relationship with Felix soon becomes a teaching moment. And he’s respectful of her boundaries, which was sweet and swoony. It really was a cute couple.

The narration was pretty good. I wouldn’t have thought of a growly voice for Felix, but the male narrator manages to express the character’s more playful side too. As for the female narrator, she does the awkward girl like a champ.

Quickie

- Series: Campus wallflowers #3 (can be read as a standalone)
- Hashtags: #sports romance #college romance #football #fake relationship #opposites attract #virgin
- Triggers: past cheating from a side character, mild bullying
- Main couple: Dahlia Brady & Felix Walters
- Hotness: 4/5
- Romance: 5/5
- + Dahlia standing up for herself, beautiful
- – I’m kind of tired of the ‘I’m not made for serious relationships’ trope, especially when all the character’s actions show otherwise

Rebecca Jenshak is quickly becoming one of my fave sports romance writers. This was a refreshing story that really had me hooked right from the start. There was nothing fake or forced in this fake relationship. The tension between them was palpable and deliciously electric right off the bat. I loved the characters and everything about this.

What would you do if you were at a party feeling tipsy and you comment to your friend that you would like to climb the hot QB like a tree. Then lick every inch of his body, while someone secretly is filming you and it goes viral. On top on that you’re on the shy side. Welcome to Dahlia Brady’s world.

I really enjoyed this swoony opposites attract, fake relationship romance. From the relationships built to the crazy friendships, and the banter between Felix and Dahlia made me want more. I didn’t want it to end. This was just such a feel good book. I loved how they were crushing on each other but neither one knew until the video came out. Felix was great at pulling Dahlia out of her shell. I loved watching this relationship develop from friendship to falling in love.

This was my first Rebecca Jenshak book and I think she made a touchdown. I can’t wait to read Jane’s book.

Scoring The Player by Rebecca Jenshak

I’ve often said that I’m so glad I went to college before smartphones were everywhere, so all of the embarrassing things I did in college aren’t documented, or worse, posted on social media for anyone to see. Unfortunately for Dahlia, that is not the case. And when an embarrassing video gets posted of her talking about how she wants to climb the quarterback like a tree, everyone sees it. I had secondhand embarrassment for her.

Felix, the star quarterback, has always had a little crush on Dahlia, but she never seemed interested. When the video was posted online, he decided to offer Dahlia a solution - pretend to date him, so that people can forget about the video. Felix has been burned before and he’s not looking for anything serious, but he finds that he loves spending time with Dahlia. While Felix’s ex is determined to try to win him back, he isn’t interested at all, so she makes it her mission to try to make Dahlia feel insignificant. The mean girl vibes from the ex girlfriend were strong but thankfully Dahlia had her crew of best friends to support her, as well as Felix and most of his team.

I deeply related to Dahlia. As someone who also suffers from self esteem issues and never sees myself the way other people seem to, I understood how she felt about herself. It’s not a fun way to feel and I often get annoyed with myself for it, but it’s also not something I can just turn off and start believing the things people tell me. I loved seeing Dahlia’s friendship with Felix’s team. The guys really loved her and they were always telling Felix not to screw it up 🤣

I have really enjoyed the Campus Wallflowers series and i absolutely can’t wait for book 4! My favorite part of this book was when Dahlia GOES OFF on Bethany 🙌🏻 I loved getting to know Dahlia better and really feel like I related to her the most. I also really love how this is a college sports romance series, but it’s not based on one sport. So far we’ve had hockey, basketball, and football. Baseball next?

My Review 🏈🏈🏈⛳️⛳️

Gosh I absolutely loved this book!!! Felix & Dahlia are the perfect combination of the shy girl falls for the QB, but the funny part the QB really liked her to start with an she never even knew it.

One video that’s all it took for Felix to see what was right in front of him, he has liked talked and being around Dahlia at parties but breaking her out of her shell was another thing.

Dahlia was fine being the the shadows, designing clothes and playing for the Valley U Golf team. Having had a crush on Felix as long as she can think she never could have imagined talked to a friend would becoming a viral video. But it also was what brought Felix to her radar.

I loved watching these two develop a friendship within the fake relationship. An the longer they went along with this the more you can see them falling. Of course they set a time frame and when it comes time to walk away neither finds it easy.

Felix is a swoon worthy hero and has a heart so big. I loved that he didn’t have an ego and loved with his whole self once he lets you into his circle. Of course Brogan, Archer & Lucas make a point to tell him he’s fallen for her before he even wanted to admit it and I loved the dynamic of the group.

Must read in the sport romance & great that the shy girl finds her voice!

Oh my goodness I loved this book so much. It was such a quick, fun, sweet read! I haven’t read the first two books in the Campus Wallflowers series but I can’t wait to start, especially after meeting all of the characters.

In this book we get Dahlia & Felix’s story. Felix is the outgoing, star quarterback for the Valley U football team. Dahlia is the shy, reserved girl that plays on the University’s golf team. Dahlia has had the biggest crush on Felix for a while & one night while they’re all at a party, someone records a video of Dahlia telling her friend how much she really likes Felix. The video ends up going viral around the university & it’s all anyone is talking about.

Felix likes Dahlia. He likes being around her… but up until he sees the video, he thinks she isn’t interested in him because she’s always running away from him. After watching the video, he goes to check on her to make sure she’s okay. Embarrassed, Dahlia starts to avoid going out at all. She skips parties & sticks to just school and golf. Felix notices & wants to help… so he offers to fake date her knowing that no one will mess with her as long as people think they’re together. But he makes it clear he isn’t looking for anything serious, needing to focus on football. So what happens when lines get blurred, they start spending more & more time together & can’t deny the connection between them?

Felix & Dahlia were perfect for each other. I think they really balanced each other out. He brought out her wild & fun side, hyping her up & really giving her the confidence she needed. While she helped make him feel safe & wanted for more than just his looks & status. I really loved all the characters so much & I can’t wait to continue the series!

I loved this book! I have been WAITING for this one every since Hating the Plater and it did not disappoint. This was such a cute and fun read. I ate this up so quickly and I enjoyed every bit of it. I will never get over the popular boy x shy girl trope mixed with fake dating?? Say less truly. Seeing Dahlia go from super shy and reserved to a blossoming flower (pun intended) was EVERYTHING to me. Felix is such a sweetheart throughout the whole book I'm pretty sure my teeth are rotting because of him. I also really liked the friendship dynamic between Dahlia and the other girls especially Jane which sets up PERFECTLY for Jane's book. Of course, I will never get tired of the other couples in the book as they get me giddy seeing them happy. The small moments between Felix and Dahlia has me kicking my feet and giggling like a little girl. We cannot forget about the spice as it definitely delivered . The last 50 pages had me GAGGED as it adds to Dahlia's character development and is just a straight SAVAGE. I am now a Rebecca Jenshak stan and she is now an insta-buy author as I am a sucker for a sports romance. With the little hints and teasers sprinkled in I cannot wait for Jane's book!

Fake dating

Dahlia is an awkward, shy heroine with a lot of self-esteem issues. Felix is the confident, sporty hero with the perfect solution to Dahlia's embarrassing leaked video.

Fake dating

Felix was a side character in Rebecca's two Christmas novellas, and I loved seeing him in his own. He's caring, supportive, and the perfect guy to read about, even though he does have a very meddling ex-girlfriend who just loves to play the perfect mean girl role.

Dahlia and Felix are definite opposites, but it was great seeing them both come together. Felix brings out Dahlia's personality in crowds so that everyone can see how amazing she is, and he becomes her biggest supporter throughout the book.

Dahlia has some really bad self-esteem moments, and at times, I wanted to shake her so that she could see exactly what we see as readers and what Felix sees. She finally stands up for herself again, Bethany (the ex), and I loved it! I was rooting for her the whole time.

Loved this third book, and I can't wait for book 4!

I really enjoyed this and continue to like this series! The entire friend group is quirky and fun, and this spotlight on quiet love is so refreshing.

Dahlia is a shy college athlete looking to break out of her shell this year. When someone films her rant about the hottest guy on campus, Felix, who happens to be her crush, she’s mortified. Felix has had her on his radar and sees an opportunity to help her break out of her shell by being her fake boyfriend.

When the lines blur, Felix has to figure out if he can get over past relationship drama and embrace the good that he has with Dahlia. The balance of sweet and spicy was perfect for them, and I loved watching them both grow. I’m excited for the last friend, Jane, to get her book— especially after that bombshell at the end of this one!

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

One of my anticipated reads of the year and it did not disappoint!

- college football romance
- fake dating
- opposites attract
- found family

Scoring the Player is the 3rd book in the Campus Wallflowers series featuring roommate number 3, Dahlia. She's shy and quiet, and has a hard time speaking up. When a video of her talking about how hot the captain of the football team goes viral, she thought her life would be over. Little does she know Felix Waters has had a crush on her. Instead of Dahlia's life being over, Felix strikes a deal to fake date for six weeks. Six weeks to help Dahlia truly experience college and have people forget about the viral video.

Felix and Dahlia really balanced each other out. Felix helped Dahlia come out of her shell and show her how amazing of her a person she is. And Dahlia helped Felix show the type of relationship he deserves. We got to see and get to know Felix since his sisters' holiday novellas, Holiday with the Players, which made me want his book even more. I loved getting to see and know more about him as well as the football team. Felix and Dahlia run in the same circle due to her roommates, Daisy and Violet, dating a hockey and basketball player (from books 1 and 2). It only gets me more excited for Jane's book! The friendships that Dahlia creates with Felix's teammates/friends was so to read about. The found family in all of Becca's series are my absolute favorite.

Thank you so much Rebecca Jenshak for this ARC! Will be rereading the last two books until we get Jane's book!

The mutual pining works for me. The banter and flirting were absolutely adorable. I loved both characters to pieces. Dahlia is shy and wants to experience more. While Felix is the popular QB crushing on Dahlia but assumed her shyness meant she wasn't interested in him. Both friend groups are so cute, and I love the found family vibes. Fake dating is quickly becoming one of my favorite tropes. We all know they're going to fall in love, and when they break up, they're going to regret it, but I'm still here for it. 🥰

✨“You won. I’m all yours. I think you can let it go.” “Never,” he says, but he’s smiling. “It wasn’t ever really a competition, you know? You own my heart.” “Right back at ya, hot stuff.”✨

Dahlia is honestly so relatable to me with her being so shy and quiet and I absolutely love how Felix brought her out of her shell and never failed to remind her how amazing she is😭😭 and the fact that he started calling her “hot stuff” just to remind her how beautiful she is?!?!

“His smile widens. “Say yes, hot stuff.” My brows lift at the endearment. “You are. That’s what I’m going to call you so you don’t forget it.” “I am so not.” He hums like I’m proving his point.”

OMG I literally love him so much 🥲

**Audio Review**
Hey there, Hot Stuff! Scoring the Player by Rebecca Jenshak was a sweet and swoony college sports romance that squeezed my heart in all the right places and left a huge smile on my face. Felix and Dahlia’s opposites attract, fake-to-forever romance was full of laugh-out-loud awkward moments, and steamy slow-burn first times that will have you falling fast and hard for this amazing couple.

Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke narrate this audiobook and were absolute magic together as Dahlia and Felix. Erin’s conveyed Dahlia’s clumsy shyness, budding self-esteem, and enduring passion perfectly, which made you long for Dahlia to go after what she truly desired. Jason brought a charismatic confident tone to his performance of dreamy Felix, the hottest guy on campus, which you can’t help but love and admire. Both narrators were on FIRE capturing the slow-burn simmering chemistry between Felix and Dahlia!

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a college sports romance with a hot hunky quarterback, a heroine who golfs and designs amazing clothes, Valley U parties, embarrassing viral videos, making clothes for a rockstar, football games, golf meets, pillow forts, steamy first times, coming out of your shell, standing up to exes, flip cup, and a HEA that will climb its way into your heart, then you will love Dahlia and Felix’s story. I always look forward to more from Rebecca Jenshak!

Dahlia is mortified when a video gets leaked of her saying all the dirty things she’d like to do to the most popular football player at the school. She’s crushed on the quarterback for years but hasn’t ever had the courage to say anything, at least until that choice got taken from her. Now he knows and she wants nothing more than to dye her hair, change her name, and possibly move to a different country. Felix Walters on the other hand has different plans.

After he sees the way the school is reacting to her confession of wanting “to lick every inch of his body,” Felix wants to protect Dahlia at all costs. With each guy who pokes fun at her and offers themself up as tribute, he finds himself getting more and more territorial. He decides that the best way to combat the rumor mill is to give them something better to talk about. He proposes that they fake date for a few weeks so everyone can finally shut up and move on.

But Felix has a secret.
One that has everything to do with Dahlia…

There no way the playboy quarterback and the virgin wallflower make any sense together, but they’re willing to give it a try. As with most fake dating books, things get complicated real quick. Lines get blurred. There’s an evil ex, meddling family members, and a whole team of golden retriever football players to make things interesting. Felix’s mission is to help Dahlia step out of her comfort zone, but can they both keep feelings out of the picture?

I loved this book!!! It was silly in the best way. It’s everything I love in a college romance. Sure the characters are a bit immature, but it makes sense for the setting. I love all the characters so much and it’s always fun seeing the previous couples make an an appearance. (Make sure you’ve read the twins winter novellas!!!) It’s got the perfect mix of sweetness and drama and makes for a fun read. I flew through it and cannot wait to see what happens next in Jane’s book Tempting the Player!

Thank you to Valentine PR for the copy of this ARC! I had such a fun time reading it!

Rebecca Jenshak’s Scoring the Player is another absolutely delightful new adult romance. Fans of fake dating and sports romance will love this latest visit to Valley U.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Golfer Dahlia is super shy, and has had a crush on Quarterback Felix for ages. But once a video of her babbling about how she wants to climb him like a tree goes viral, she becomes famous on campus for all the wrong reasons. Felix suggests that they fake date to get people to leave her alone, then break up once the notoriety dies down. I mean, neither one has time for a real relationship right now, so this idea makes perfect sense. I’m sure their mutual attraction won’t mess up this plan at all, right? Right?

Dahlia and Felix are adorably sweet together. Dahlia has always been the quietest of her roommates but that doesn’t mean she’s boring. And while Felix has a bit of a playboy reputation, he always puts his friends and teammates first. But don’t let the word sweet make you think these two keep it clean; their slow-burn chemistry leads to some steamy scenes. The best is that the only ones surprised by this attraction are Dahlia and Felix, since all their friends can easily see how gone they are for each other.

Scoring the Player is part of the Wallflower’s series, but each book can be read as a stand alone. I loved visiting with Dahlia, Jane, Daisy and Violet again; it’s a pleasure to watch these women support each other unconditionally while having a great time too.

No one writes college romance like Rebecca Jenshak. Her characters are smart, act their age, and are fun to be around as they figure out love and how they want to live their lives. I adored Dahlia and Felix’s story, and now I can’t wait for Jane to get her own HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am just loving this Campus Wallflowers series and Dahlia and Felix’s story is packed with all the feels!

Dahlia is such a badA character in so many ways. She is independent and driven. I loved her loyalty and integrity. Her friendship with the three other girls is so heartwarming to read. It’s almost enviable how they understand and support each other no matter what.

Dahlia has a huge crush on Mr popular, QB1 Felix…the problem…she is too shy to talk to him, whenever he approaches her or tries to engage with her she completely freezes!

Felix has had a knock in the love department. He’s reluctant to put himself back out there…the reason for which we learn later in the book. He really likes Dahlia and her no drama, easy personality. So when he sees an opportunity to spend more time with her, that will be mutually beneficial he just has to try and convince her!

I enjoyed getting to know both Dahlia and Felix as their characters grew throughout the story and their trust in each other developed into something deep and meaningful.
These two bring out the best in each other…I loved the friendship and banter, the growth of their relationship is truly believable as Felix supports and coaxes Dahlia out of her shell. While at the same time she sees him for more than just his position on the football team.

Loved this, love the other characters, my heart literally ached for Dahlia at some points throughout this story!!

Oh and the bonus epilogue is short but wonderfully sweet.

What an adorable and charming college romance!! I can’t stop smiling! This book just grabs you in with it’s low angst plot, enjoyable storyline and characters that are so easy to love!

You have the hero, Felix who is the hot star quarterback of the team and the heroine, Dahlia who is a shy and awkward golf player and designer. They are the perfect opposites attract characters who end up finding themselves in a fake dating relationship after a video goes viral. Along the way there are football games, many college parties and lots of friend hang outs.

I also have to mention the way that I just completely fell in love with Felix in this book! He had me smiling like a giddy school girl many times and so obsessed with his sweet and kind heart!! I just loved his character and his adoration for our girl Dahlia! Overall this book is a slow burn romance that just evolved in a way that felt so realistic with many heart fluttering moments along the way!

Rebecca Jenshak knows how to cast audios for her books! She absolutely nailed it with Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke as they did a magnificent job with this narration! Their performance was such an easy listen that I didn’t even want to hit pause. They both did fantastic using different inflections in their voices when performing the lines to convey the different personalities of Felix and Dahlia! Together both of their voices also just blend so well together making them feel like a true duo! This audio just elevated an already enjoyable story and this is one you definitely want to listen to in your ears!

I loved this book. Honestly I haven't read the two books prior to Scoring The Player which is the 3rd book in the series. But I have to say it really made no difference to me I was easily able to get into the flow of the story. This is opposites attract between Dahlia and Felix. Dahlia is quiet and shy she keeps to herself, that is until a video of her goes viral and brings her unwanted attention. She believes her life will be over because everything is going to change, but the very thing she does not expect happens instead.
Felix the guy she is crushing on and was talking about in the video approaches Dahlia to ask her to be in a Fake relationship with him.
Felix is Mr Popular, the gorgeous QB and a swoon worthy hero with a really good heart, loved him.
What ensues is a fabulous romance that blossoms between Dahlia and Felix as they get to know one another under the disguise of a fake relationship. These two opposites may be different in some ways but they are just so perfect together, they fit. I really enjoyed this book and couldn't get enough, it was so hard to but down and a real page turner. The sense of friendship and family in this story is so endearing.
Rebecca Jenshak has written another wonderful sports romance, which will make you feel so good and light after reading. Fun, romantic and delightful Dahlia and Felix will melt your heart.
I will definitely check out the other books in this series.
