ehhh. just ehhh. i know that easy readers sometimes leave much to be desired just based on their limited wordability (i know that's not a word)...but YAWN! adapted from screenplay...won't miss not seeing the movie if this is any indication.

This must be a movie to book adaptation for beginning readers. Not my favorite kind of book as the story is so choppy.

This is an easy reader based on the movie. Since it's written in easy reader style in short, simple sentences leaves a bit out. Words are simple, hardest words are the names. Pages are about 1-3 sentences long, 3-8 word sentences on average. Each page has a picture, a cartoon from the movie. Pictures are bright and cute. Story line is about Thumbelina and her fellow Twillerbees live in a field that's going to be ripped up to build a factory. Thumbelina meets the daughter of the man building the ...more

The beautiful story of thumbelina takes us to another kind of world, where even little ones can do big things. An amazing story for kids that shouldn't be let unread.
