NELLIE follows an eleven-year-old “British Home Child” from late 19th Century Liverpool, England to colonial Canada. The book has been described as “lyrical, evocative prose” and "an essential piece of Canadian history” (Sharon English, author of NIGHT IN THE WORLD), as well as “beautifully rendered” (Judith Barrington, author of VIRGINIA’S APPLE).

Another highlight of Tricia’s writing: her story “Out to the Horses” was long-listed for the 2019 CBC Short Story Award and published in ROOM magazine (Dec 2019).

Needs to be updated. Most information is from 2003, and Haystack School of Crafts is not included. Otherwise, helpful. Lots of visual arts residencies listed from all over the world!
