Pippa Roscoe writes sexy romances for Harlequin Mills & Boon and loves every happy ending in each of her books. With a major coffee addiction and a mild not-so-secret crisp eating compulsion – she spends her days fantasising about extraordinary romances, exotic locations and true love against all odds.

After graduating with a degree and a masters from Goldsmiths University, Pippa spent four years working on the BBC medical drama Holby City. After switching industries to publishing and spending five years as an editor working with incredible colleagues and inspirational authors, she finally decided to follow her own dream of writing and swapped London for Norfolk.

In her spare time she looks longingly at the countryside which she promises to roam, if she can drag herself away from her computer for long enough. She prefers to write outside in the sunshine, but during the winter is consigned to the kitchen – the warmest room in the cottage!

She can’t remember a time when she wasn’t dreaming about gorgeous brooding alpha heroes and sympathetic innocent heroines. Totally her mother’s fault of course – she gave Pippa her first romance to read at the age of seven! Pippa is inconceivably happy that she gets to share those daydreams with you all.

Two people touched by revenge, Alessandro Rossi and Amelia Seymore, both had been through a lot when they were young, one had got their revenge already and gone on to become a billionaire running Rossi Industries the other has been working undercover for Rossi Industries to get hers, but will one night of passion change all of that?

Doing everything she can for the past two years to bring down Rossi Industries and get her revenge for what they did to her family is just about to come undone for Amelia, when after giving in to the chemistry raging between them on a business trip she now finds herself pregnant, how will this end?

Alessandro has trusted Amelia for two years she has proven how good she is at her job and the one night that was probably the best night he has had and should never have happened is really going to play havoc with what he has just learned about her, could this be the end of the company that he and his cousin have worked so hard for? And what about the future?

Amelia is whisked away to Alessandro’s Tuscan villa and she cannot help but let the truth come out when her pregnancy is discovered and what she finds will cause all sorts of pain, for them both, can the sensual pull between them see them open up about their pasts and finally see to the future and find the happiness and love they deserve?

I did love this story from start to finish, Pippa Roscoe has a way with words that flow and bring out the best in her heroes and heroines and this is one that I highly recommend, I do need to catch up on book #1 though.

My thanks to the author for my copy to read and review.

I loathed Amelia in book 1 and sadly this didn’t improve in book 2. PR writes some good stuff - but I didn’t like this.

It’s a tale of utterly Unjustified Revenge that verges on vigilante behaviour and it is not an attractive trope in romance.

I found her character totally unappealing for the duration of the book.

Sorry - the writing is, as always good, but the plot and characterisation didn’t appeal at all.

5 Stars!

I absolutely adored Alessandro and Amelia's enemies to lovers to enemies to parents story. Book two in the Billion-Dollar Revenge series, Amelia is the elder sister with the grudge and all set for revenge against the two men that ruined her father, and her plan to destroy their business is almost complete.

But one fateful night in Hong Kong with her boss produces a result neither of them were expecting, and connects then for the rest of their lives even if neither of them initially want that.

Both of these characters have back stories that make them leery of love and commitment, and reading them overcoming those obstacles as well as trying to reverse Amelia's initial actions made for a really great story.

Pippa delivered the M&B/Hqn tropes and HEA with great style and I enjoyed every chapter.

Reviewed at Happily Ever After Romance

Expecting Her Enemy’s Heir concludes the Billion-Dollar Revenge duet with Amelia and Alessandro’s romance. While I will always suggest reading duets or series in order with this one, I believe it’s even more important since both stories are happening at the same time, and there are overlaps in plots within each novel. It’s certainly not required, but I would strongly suggest reading Bound by the Italian’s “I Do” first if at all possible.

Everything is finally in place. The timing is perfect, well, almost perfect but this chance cannot be allowed to slip through her fingers because she couldn’t find one bit of corruption within the Rossi cousins’ business. So, with all the work she and her sister, Issy have devoted to this deserved revenge, for ten long years, Amelia made the choice to tell one lie to Issy. That one lie will change everything for these four people whose lives have become intertwined by revenge on both sides.

It’s impossible for me to explain the intensity or the complexity of the emotions in Amelia and Alessandro’s story. Passion, anger, betrayal, and eventually love will all play a part as the sisters’ plan for revenge for the Rossi cousins completely destroying their world years ago become their reality. A reality that isn’t going to pan out quite the way either Issy or Amelia expected.

I hurt for both Alessandro and Amelia for different reasons. They’ve lived their truth, but neither knew the other side of the situation until now. And that fact will change so much, but it doesn’t happen easily or quickly as this couple navigates an unexpected passion for each other, a pregnancy that neither is ready for, and watching their hopes and dreams for the future fade from sight. I understood their reasons for why they acted as they did, but the anguish they put each other through before they took the risk of really, completely trusting, and loving each other is a major part of their journey.

I loved the way Issy and Amelia’s stories merge in some places, and go their separate ways in others. I adored Alessandro and understood his reasons for his actions perhaps more than Amelia’s. Together they are on fire with a passion and anger that knows no end. This couple’s journey is filled with emotions all the emotions possible, and their eventual happily ever after future is a hard-fought-for victory. Their story lingered in my mind for days after I finished, and I’ll definitely be doing a re-read soon. If you love a passionate enemies-to-lovers romance, then you’ll fall in love with this one.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the author or author’s team via Booksprout. The opinions expressed in this review are my own – good, bad, or indifferent.*

This is book two in The Mills and Boon Modern, A Billion-Dollar Revenge series and it is Alessandro and Amelia’s story. Amelia has been working undercover in Alessandro’s company for two years so that she can get revenge which is what she set out to do and now she is nearly there after all her hard work and will make them pay for what they did only things don’t always go as planned. Alessandro had been through so much when he was younger and set out to get the revenge he needed and now he had succeeded making himself a billionaire and able to move forward with his life. The attraction and chemistry between Alessandro and Amelia was instant and strong and when they eventually gave in to it while on a business trip and ended up spending the night together they were both in for a surprise when Amelia realised that she was pregnant with Alessandro’s baby making everything even more complicated and throwing all of her plans out of the window. This was a really enjoyable read that I read in one sitting as it had you turning the pages to see what would happen next and also what the outcome and future would be for Alessandro and Amelia. I recommend that you read this book and you will not be disappointed as it had great characters and storyline that kept your attention and I am looking forward to reading more books in the future.

EXPECTING HER ENEMY’S HEIR by author Pippa Roscoe is a Harlequin Presents series release for May 2023.
Amelia Seymore works undercover at Alessandro’s company. She wants to sabotage the company in revenge for her family’s downfall. She blames Alessandro. But she had already had one hot passion-filled night with Alessandro. And now she is expecting his baby. What would she do now?
Alessandro finds out in time about Amelia’s plan and works to undo the damage she did. Then he finds out she is carrying his baby. What would he do now?

EXPECTING HER ENEMY’S HEIR is so well-written, engaging, steamy and full of joy. It is a sexy romance filled with emotions. A reader would be hooked by the story as well as the emotions shimmering in this story. Author Pippa Roscoe brought these two characters together who are strong in their own rights. Amelia would not settle for anything less than love and Alessandro would do anything for his family. Once you start reading this story you would want to finish it to find out the whole tale and how it all ends.
Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

Amelia goes after Alessandro in a long con game of revenge to slowly infiltrate his company and ruin a project worth millions. He finds out through his cousin, who is with her sister (in the interconnected book 1, which I haven’t read but need to). They had already had a very steamy one night stand in Hong Kong and Amelia is having a hard time pushing forward her revenge plans. When Alessandro finds out he decides to make up an “urgent” project and spirits her away to Italy.

There she dins out the whole truth about her father…and that she’s pregnant. So they now have betrayal and an unexpected baby to contend with. Both main characters struggle greatly with their past trauma, trust issues and continued deception to one another. The books reads very quickly but you also feel as if it spans a longer period of time. I haven’t been a prolific Harlequin reader in the past but this book certainly changed my perception of these types of romances! I’m definitely checking out more of this author, starting with Issy’s story.

Passion, deceit and scandal are at the heart of book two in the Billion-Dollar Revenge duet! I was quickly invested in Amelia and Alessandro's story because I had read the first book in the duet that told a good bit of the back story through her sister and his cousin's romance.

Amelia comes into this story the most flawed of all of the characters because not only is she out for coldhearted revenge without having all of the facts straight, but she also chose to lie to her sister who thought she was fully her partner in crime. She was a hard sell to redeem, but by the end when Alessandro had seen past her subterfuge, I began to like her more but there was still a disconnect between fully airing out what happened with her sister.

I recommend this book as a follow up to the first in the duet because if you read one without the other you will miss a good bit of the heart of the story of each couple.

Expecting Her Enemy's Heir is the 2nd part of a duet about the Seymore sisters and their plot for revenge against the Rossi cousins. While it can be read as a standalone, it's probably better read in order, because the stories take place at the same time and overlap towards the end. Despite Amelia's cold-blooded plan for revenge, her inner doubts and conflicted feelings for Alessandro made me feel for her. Meanwhile Alessandro was a strong hero to begin with, but IMO lost some of his shine towards the end. This book is full of feelings, though, and had me in tears at some point. There is a sweet HEA for both couples at the conclusion of the mini-series.

This was a super fast read, easily finished in under an hour.

Passion and scandal are what makes this book tick. Amelia and Alessandro are enemies, their families have a long-held feud.

Amelia is horribly flawed, a liar setting out for coldhearted revenge without having all of the facts. These traits make her an unlikeable character, and there was no connection there between her and the reader.

The plot is a common one, the trope a popular one, and, being Harlequin, there is the required happy ever after.

All in all, an okay read.

Thank you to BookSprout for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

It was ok. I wanted to like it because I liked the first book so much, however the chemistry between Amelia and Alessandro was lacking. It felt like I was being told how much of a connection there was vs what was actually shown.

I don't feel like they had that strong of a connection that they would have ended up together without the baby binding them together. All their conversations and motivations for trying to make something work between them was for the baby, there wasn't really that much focus on them as a couple and wanting to be together for them, it was always the baby at the forefront. A very good ending

This is the 2nd and final book in the series and it didn’t disappoint. The h is the older sister of the h in the 1st book, they had been planning revenge against the H and his cousin for 10 years. They blamed them for the destruction of their family, the H and his cousin did a hostile takeover of her father’s company which left them destitute. The h had succeeded with her part of the sabotage but an unexpected pregnancy brought everything to a halt. Both characters had major childhood problems but were able to overcome those issues and find their HEA. Good epilogue.

Expecting Her Enemy’s Heir is an enemies to lovers story between Alessandro, the billionaire owner and CEO of his company, and Amelia, who goes undercover for two years at his company with a plan to avenge her family’s destruction which she believes is Alessandro’s fault. Their attraction is immediate and eventually erupts into sizzling passion. This accidental pregnancy romance has great characters, misunderstandings, deceit, revelation of the truth, and steamy passion.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Amelia and Alessandro are shaped by their childhoods and they must overcome this to be together. A revenge that is thankfully averted in time opens the gate to a new beginning along with a pregnancy. The idea of getting to know each other by slips of paper help along with Alessandro finally confronting his past. Now they have a future of love with each other.

Amelia wants revenge and Alessandro will pay for taking her fathers business years ago causing her family such pain and loss. She works with his company for two years carefully planing her revenge but she never expected to fall for him and become pregnant with his child. Enjoyed their story about revenge, love and forgiveness.

Will the steam coming off of Alessandro and Amelia destroy the sisters’ plan for revenge?
I fell in love with Amelia who has been single focused on getting revenge against Alessandro and his brother after their father’s business and family fell apart. Though as soon as Amelia sets her plan in motion, the jig is up. Add in that their one night on a business trip and an incendiary encounter between them leaves Amelia with lasting consequences. How will it all end? You have to read to find out!

Amelia has been working undercover at billionaire Alessandro company to prove that he stole her birthright. Amelia's plan is not really working since she finds herself involved with Alessandro. Now suddenly it’s not just a relationship she has to worry about since she is expecting his baby. How will Alessandro handle the news he is about to be a father and the plot that Amelia has been working on to discredit him?

The second, and final book in the "A Billion-Dollar Revenge," series. Alessandro Rossi and Amelia Seymore went through lots of bad things in their past. One night changed that as their chemistry brings them together.

It can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the first book in this series "Bound by the Italian's "I Do", " by Michelle Smart. Great series.

So awesome. I was pulled in from the first page and couldn't put this book down. Alessandro has no idea who Amelia is or her plans. This story had a lot of twists that only enhanced the story. Great HEA. Now I have to find Izzy's book. So excited.

I always look out for new stories from Pippa Roscoe. As a romance former editor, she knows the tropes inside- although she usually manages to do something a bit different with them.
This is part of a duo about two sisters seeking their revenge against two cousins, you might want to read the companion by Michelle Smart first.
This was an enjoyable, good but not great story, with lovely locations, tension and enough chemistry between the two leads.
