I have loved this series so much and I think this is my favourite I loved Vienna and Jasper, these two deserved to find true love and happiness and MS Collins has given them a beautiful journey to find that happiness.

Vienna has grown up with not much self-worth with her family and the carried on into her adult life to a very unhappy marriage, but the time has come to take charge and look to the future and escaping to a very private place on her own is what she needs but arriving there and finding her sister in laws brother Jasper there was not what she expected and falling in love was not what she expected either.

Jasper is in hiding till he can come back from the dead, so to speak to make things right and hiding out has been just the thing but when Vienna arrives his life turns upside down in so many ways he is not looking for love but Vienna is hard to not fall in love with, even if it takes him a while to realise that love is what it is.

This story is beautiful, so sensual and emotional, Vienna is caring and Jasper strong and loving they deserve each other so very much, I highly recommend this one and the series to any romance reader who loves a gorgeous story.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.

When I struggle to settle on a book and everything I pick up I drop with ennui, I read a category romance to clear the reading decks. (It’s especially difficult to “settle” on a book when your past two reads have been as magnificent as Kestrel’s Five Decembers and Goodman’s Ill-Mannered Ladies.) The category hits the reading spot: the time commitment is minimal; the narrative, familiar; and, if the writing is smooth and enjoyable, the flaws, bearable. Now I love Collins’s romances and her Prospector’s Only Prospect will be among my year’s romance reading highlights, but I can’t say the same for the mediocre Baby To Make Her His Bride. In the HP world, the premise will be familiar, but the blurb fills in some details:

Fleeing her very public divorce, socialite Vienna is shocked to find her private hideaway already occupied. Gruff and brooding Jasper was presumed dead—just like Vienna’s love life. So her instant connection to him is unexpected, yet completely undeniable…One night is all Jasper can offer Vienna. The people closest to him always get hurt. Then scandal strikes, forcing them to fly to Chile as a couple for the whole world to see! But when Jasper learns Vienna is carrying his baby, he must take things one step further to protect them both…with his diamond ring!

Things don’t quite happen exactly this way, but you get the gist of it.

Collins has an unwavering strength: she can write, craft a sentence and capture what is fun in the genre: its ability to capture a moment of attraction/confrontation. Baby To Make Her His Bride starts this way when Vienna finds Jasper living in what she’d hoped would be her lie-low-and-ride-the-divorce-wave hidey-hole:

Her senses were accosted by lake-blue eyes…His jaw was clean-shaven and looked hard as iron. The glower he wore was even harder. His legs were planted like hundred-year-old oak trees. He looked her up and down as though she were a squirrel he’d have to shoo out with a broom. His thick brows went up, demanding she answer. Habits of a lifetime had her wanting to make an apology and slink away. I’m nobody. Confrontation had never worked out for her. She wasn’t actually in the wrong here, even though he was making her feel that way. It’s my house, she reminded herself…She never wanted to be a bother, but nearly everyone treated her as though she was. She needed to grow up and grow a pair.

It’s economical writing: we get a grumpy-hero-description, humour, and learn something about our heroine’s self-concept and how she’s going to change it. Great stuff.

Unfortunately, the economy stops here. I never managed to feel much for Vienna and Jasper and their romance never came together. Collins resorted to love-scene shorthand to convince us of emotional connection. And to keep them together? The requisite broken condom and magical one-night-of-love-making resultant pregnancy (readers will be super-annoyed that Vienna has fertility issues, but now, with Jasper, tara! oven meet bun).

Collins builds Vienna and Jasper’s connection with exposition rather than the witty banter I adore about her romances. Given how wonderful The Prospector’s Only Prospect is, Collins remains on my auto-buy list. And as far as HPs go, I can usually get to the end of a well-written one (a category that attracts much awkward purply prose), but this isn’t a fave. Miss Austen would agree, it offers “tolerable comfort,” Mansfield Park.

Dani Collins’s A Baby To Make Her His Bride is published by Harlequin Books. It released April 25th. I received an e-ARC from Harlequin Books, via Netgalley. This did not impede the free expression of my opinion.

Reviewed at Happily Ever After Romance

A Baby to Make Her His Bride brings the Four Weddings and A Baby series to a conclusion, and what an emotional ending this was. Unfortunately, Jasper and Vienna bring a whole lot of baggage to their new relationship that will get in the way of the obvious way that they love each other, but love is a risk, one that Jasper hesitates to commit to.

Vienna has been the perfect wife in a loveless marriage for years, but that ends today when her husband will finally be served with divorce papers. If he can’t find her, then he cannot harass her or try to sweet-talk her into not filing. But she’s done. She’ll go off-grid for a while at a home that was purchased in her name a while ago by her brother. She’ll be safe until she can move on to the next stage of her life. Finding the house occupied was certainly not expected.

Jasper has allowed the world to believe he died in a landslide. He’s grieving for the life of a friend who was killed in that non-accident, yes, but he’s also spent considerable time and money to bring the person behind that landslide to justice. So, when his new brother-in-law offered this remote house to stay in he didn’t hesitate. Now, a beautiful woman has walked into his home as if she owned the place… which in fact she did. Now what does he do with this interloper who seems to be carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders?

Vienna’s and Jasper’s romance is full of so many emotions. Yes, I say that about a lot of books, but when a story will reach in and break your heart for two people who have been through so much… I don’t know what to call that except an emotional romance. There is a line in the book, and I’m paraphrasing here but, it’s “We bring a lot of baggage to this relationship, and sometimes one of us is going to trip over some of it”. That statement rings so true for not only this book but for life in general as well. Vienna sacrificed so much in her marriage, and finally, she was just done, and I don’t blame her one bit for her ex is a nasty piece of work. But his actions and his words left a mark. Jasper is devastated by his friend’s death, and he will find justice for him if it is the last thing he does. He is consumed with bringing one man to justice to the extent that he’s lost sight of what is most important in his life… the woman who is carrying his baby, the woman who loves him in spite of himself. He needed a wake-up call… and man, did he ever get one!

Their story was the perfect way to wrap up this series. We got the chance to see some of the couples from the previous stories, finally had answers to questions that have been puzzling, and watched two deserving people find a love to last a lifetime. Hard to ask for much more than that. If you love an emotional romance with believable people facing some hard choices, then this story is simply perfect for you.

A Baby to Make Her His Bride by Dani Collins, book four in the Four Weddings and a Baby series, is a lovely story of finding love when least expected. Vienna had decided to end her lifeless marriage and wanted a place of refuge while waiting for the divorce to go through. Some place her soon to be ex couldn’t find her, to try to stop the divorce. Arriving at her house she discovered someone was there; someone who was in hiding. Jasper was living at this refuge until it was safe to allow the world, and his family, to know he was alive. He did not expect Vienna to arrive at the house, let alone the sizzling and sparking chemistry they shared. Vienna and Jasper had interesting backgrounds which complicated their lives; especially when they met. A relationship that was supposed to be temporary moved into more as consequences occurred. After enduring a loveless marriage to a man who manipulated and used her, Vienna wouldn’t settle for less than love. The journey to love was filled with obstacles, but worth the work to get there. I highly recommend A Baby to Make Her His Bride to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

It was ok. They had a good connection and I did like both characters for the most part. I think they would have ended up together eventually (since her brother was married to his sister and they would be forced to see each other), probably more like it would have taken months to years for it to happen. He had no plans to pursue her, but was extremely drawn to her.

Hero was was a bit of a disappointment with how he treated heroine after their month long separation (he was cold and distant), then with how he initially responded to the pregnancy (he questioned if the baby was his and thought she might abort the baby, even though she thought she was incapable of getting pregnant and wanted a baby very much).
After he accepted there was going to be a baby he was great and wanted to be fully involved and make a relationship work with her.

I liked the heroine, she was so nice and caring, but a little too insecure.
The part when she thought she was losing the baby was so sad (she said "even my own baby doesn't want me"). P.

Passionate and endearing! With the final book in her Four Weddings and a Baby series Dani Collins is bringing two familiar faces to the forefront when Hunter's sister Vienna meets her match in Amelia's brother Jasper. The characters were quick to catch my attention and the drama surrounding them held my attention throughout. I loved getting to see little pop ins from the previous couples in the series as well. Great ending to a satisfying series.

Vienna is a captivating character. She has big dreams and let them be cast aside by life and inappropriate choices for too long, so she's finally putting an end to it and steering her life back on course.

Jasper is easy enough to like and quick to catch the reader's eye as the story of his recent past comes to life and continues to unravel.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that likes a whole lot of drama mixed in with your romance. True love wins, but there are lots of curves getting them there.

This is my first time reading a book by Dani Collins and I enjoyed the romantic journey of Vienna and Jasper. This is the 4th book in the “Four Weddings And A Baby Series”. Jasper is on the run and hiding from his employer who allegedly killed his friend. Vienna finds escape at her private hideaway awaiting her divorce away from the public and prying eyes. When she arrives, she finds out that she is not alone and that Jasper is seeking refuge. These two lead very complicated lives involving their families. When the two meet there is an instant attraction with great chemistry and the soon give way to feelings. Events happen and Jasper and Vienna finds themselves in Chile. Then Jasper learns of Vienna being pregnant with his child. The two seal that their love and get married. What an awesome love story.

I received an ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

A Baby to Make Her His Bride by Dani Collins, book four in the Four Weddings, and a Baby series. Vienna has decided to end her marriage and takes time to herself while waiting for the divorce to go through. She wanted it to be somewhere that her ex couldn’t find her. Vienna finds out that she isn't alone, and that Jasper is also living there. He's hiding out until it is safe for the world, and his family, to know he was alive. Neither of them didn't count on the chemistry that was going on between them. Vienna was leery because she endured a loveless marriage, and her husband manipulated her. Their story will keep you riveted.

This book is not a standalone, I made the mistake of reading this before I ever read the books before this one. The story line was really promising, but I easily lost interest. The book went really fast, but even though their chemistry was unmatched and steamy as hell, everything else was really BLAH.

Vienna left her husband after years of it not working out and filed for divorce. She’s tired of trying to make a go of it. She went into hiding to get away from all the media. When she went to a cabin that her brother bought in her name where she finds a stranger there. She didn’t realize that Jasper was her sister-in-law’s brother. Even though he is supposed to be dead, he’s actually in hiding trying to get the people who set him up for the fall. When Vienna‘a husband shows up there, he sees Jasper and thinks the worse. Now Jasper has to come out because it will cause a media frenzy. When Vienna finds out that she’s pregnant from a one night of passion. What will Jasper say when he finds out? Will he think she lied to him? How will the media handle it? What will the family say? These two have lots of baggage. Can they put it aside for their child? Jasper will not let his child be raised without a father and mother being married. Will they work it out? The characters are wonderful. They both deserve happiness. Dani ColIins always brings you into the story. I received this book for my honest review. I gave it voluntarily.

A very good ending

This is the 4th and final book in the series and it was very good. The h is a very beautiful, sweet, kind and sensitive soul who tries to be someone else is not. She was always seeking approval from her family, she never felt good enough. The H was in hiding from his old employer who had caused an accident that killed his friend. He was trying to get justice for his friend. They met at her home where he was hiding out and she was escaping from the press, both suffered from childhood issues which made them wary about love. An unexpected pregnancy brought them together and they found their HEA. Good epilogue.

Oh hooray! I had started to think this author might have to be cut from my go-to list. I disliked the first three books in the series - but I loved this one. This is a proper romance, with the focus very much on our couple - Jasper and Vienna (one niggle, the names used in all 4 books are weird) have their hang ups and worries but I liked them both.

This book is by far the best of the series. I really enjoyed this one and definitely recommend it.
