What a wonderful story! We get to visit each of our couples and their families on Christmas Eve! This was an exceptional book I’m going to enjoy reading again. Highly Recommended
I thoroughly enjoyed another addition to the Mistvale Universe that Stella Rainbow has created. This book is an insta-love story and was filled with utter sweetness and little to no angst that I expect from on of her books. I loved getting snippets from all my favourite couples and seeing how their families have grown since, and what they’ve been up to since they were first introduced to the universe. Some of the families that are part of the Mistvale Clan have adopted the children that had been targeted by a supernatural tr*fficking ring, that were using them for their blood.
This is the first Christmas that they’re having with their new families so Cam with the help of his mate Micah decide to throw a massive Christmas party for the whole Clan, they even stole all the gifts but left notes from Santa saying that the gifts have been taken as there’s going to be a party tomorrow. Everyone had a blast at the party surrounded by lots of love and laughter. I’m hoping that Stella will eventually give us Cam and Micah’s story when Fate’s reading for them to meet their third.
Micah’s a bit worried about having a third as maybe Cam will like them better than him. I definitely think he’ll feel better after he’s spoken to Joy about how he feels about having two mates. Cam and Micah are still only teenagers so they’ve got a bit more growing up to do before they’re introduced to their third. I’ve already pre-ordered Lionel (Lords of Otherworld Series) Book 4, The Elusive Griffin (Mystics of Mistvale Series) Book 1 and Salvation (Innocent Monsters Series) Book 1. They’re all part of the Mistvale Universe and I’m looking forward to reading them when they’re released. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Mistvale is anything but quiet this holiday season. In Twelve Days of Christmas, the town dives headfirst into festive mayhem as twelve families share their stories—each filled with love, laughter, and a touch of supernatural charm. But beneath the twinkling lights and cozy moments, a mystery brews: someone’s stealing Christmas gifts, and their motives could unravel more than just ribbons and bows. As the countdown to Christmas unfolds, readers get a heartwarming and mischievous glimpse into the lives of Mistvale’s beloved residents. It’s messy, magical, and full of surprises—just the way Mistvale likes it.
This was a sweet story as we caught up with the families in Mistvale over the Christmas period. I loved that the missing presents were not part of anything bad but something wonderful. There were definitely a few surprises but it was a feel good story that will make you smile. This was an MM and MMM+ story with mature content.
Featured families include:
• Jai, Raphael, and their kids. (Touch of Magic) • Noel and Caleb. (My Elf Mate) • William and Raiden. (My Dragon Mate) • Cassian, Gus, and Micah. (Sleep of Eternity) • Niall and Aeron. This didn’t do it for me. Cam started out as cute, but now he’s just a spoiled, selfish brat with zero boundaries. What kind of person just unilaterally decides they are going to dictate how a bunch of new families are going to celebrate their first holidays, steal all the presents, and just expect everyone to go along with zero notice? Nobody I want to know or have in my life, that’s who. I made it to 35%, and had to stop. The entire premise was infuriating to me. I can think of zero adults who would just shrug their shoulders and think, “ho hum, I guess we will just kowtow to some teenager and deal with the fact that we promised our kids presents under the tree and didn’t manage to deliver. That little scamp!”. No freaking way.
Additionally, there were several grammatical errors in the amount I had read. This was incredibly rushed and clearly not well thought out.
3.5* You really have to have read the other stories in this series or you are lost. It's just a series of vignettes with previous couples/trios and how Cam (one of the teenagers) manages to steal all the gifts and set up a giant party on Christmas day for everyone.
If you've read the stories, it's fun to see the different updates but I've always found Cam annoying. Everyone just lets him get away with whatever he wants, no matter how annoying and how big the practical joke and everyone just smiles indulgently and goes "it's so cute". Ugh. No. Not really. So I'm not a big fan of Cam being a brat and getting his own way 24/7. But ... For fans of the stories set in Mistvale, a fun visit with the characters.
Cute, fun addition to the universe and a nice little break in between one series and the next. Same issues as the others, but still enjoyable and extra glimpses at each pairing so far.
4/5. My Serious Sally gripe this time, though, would definitely be pronoun slips. I just think out of every error possible, that particular one would be a much bigger deal and the first thing someone would fix. It bothers me no matter what book I’m reading when it involves a Trans/Nb character. If it was just one giant cesspool of messiness, that would be the only thing I’d be not okay with. That gripe is valid here, but not just here. So. Be mad or don’t, but that shit matters to me😬
This was a fun glimpse into the lives of the various Mistvale clan members. It was nice to see so much happiness. This was sweet, low-angst, and full of beautiful holiday moments. Best read after all the other Mistvale books to appreciate who everyone is, as these are only short snapshots into established lives.
Fun story of Christmas in Mistvale with all the inhabitants. Presents go missing and all that is left is a card. Loved seeing how everyone in Mistvale was doing. Recommend reading, but warning, they need to be read in order.
I forgot just how many stories there has been in the Mistvale world until this festive tale with multiple pov from each character as they get ready to celebrate Christmas together
This was the best Christmas gift, I loved catching up with all the gang. It truly was a very festive read and if you have been following the series it is a need to read addition. Highly recommend.
