This is a spin off one shot related to Jay Faerbers other Image comics, Noble Causes and Dynamo 5. It focuses on the relationship between the reoccurring character Firebird and her daughter.
Overall, this serves more as an origin story for the daughter and introduces her to the setting. It also likely helps bridge time gaps between Noble Causes and Dynamo 5. The story is somewhat predictable and feels rushed, but it isn't terrible.
It is a great companion story to the other comic series I've mentioned but probably of minimal interest beyond that.
