One of The Nephite Chronicles series, I, Nephi, is a fictional account of that great Book of Mormon prophet. It sweeps back to the time of the beginning of the Book of Mormon and in colorful detail follows his life as a boy in the desert; the struggle with his rebellious brothers, Laman and Lemuel; his sojourn in the promised land; and his relationship with God as a prophet. This insightful book captures the romance, rebellion, prophecy, and adventure of an era when warring factions divided into two great nations.
So loving this - what a great way to learn more about these great prophets - Kind of an adult version of Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites only on specific Prophets - Reading the whole series called the Nephite Chronicles.
For a quick read of the beloved BofM story this book serves its purpose especially if you're not up to reading the entire HB Moore "Out of Jeruselem" series.
Riddled with typos, this book showed more of the author's mastery of research for the historical period than well-crafted style and complex characters.
