Writing wildly overpowered characters can present a challenge, but the story goes to interesting places as new threats are introduced and circumstances beyond Light's control begin to arise that will require careful planning to overcome. And even if he and his allies are virtually immortal--not everyone Light has come to care about is quite so safe.
