Mark H. Phillips

As soon as I got done reading this book, my husband took it from me and I haven't seen it since. I was going to do a review of it on my blog, but he won't even let me touch it. I've never seen him react to a book that way before. He hasn't been able to complete reading it yet because of all the overtime he has had to do at work and when he gets home, he's even too tired to read, but he talks about what he's read and wants me to tell him what happens next because it's driving him

Steve Marks may be a brilliant physicist but his reputation is in the gutter due to past unethical behavior. Marks lands a job with a group of paranormal investigators tracking and destroying entities from another dimension they call “demons” who feed off human terror. With the help of his team, Marks devises a way to kill the demons, which backfires to the point of taking out prominent humans associated with these entities. The team is taken hostage by the U.S. military and forced to help find ...more

Amazing book. Science fiction adventure in which a small group of humans alied with a minority alien group manage by guts and wits to save the human race from becoming the next juicy meal in a unique alien buffet. Flawed main character has me cheering for him within the first chapter. The aliens are truly horrific and foriegn. Fighting a battle in a 4+ dimensional parallel universe is painted with such clarity that I almost got motion sick. A great adventure, a great read.

I loved this book. The plot had a lot of action, I had a difficult time putting it down because I was always curious what was coming next. The characters had depth, they seemed like real people, but what I loved the most was the pictures that Mark painted in my mind with his words. They were so vivid I felt like I was there - it was great!

I, of course, love reading everything Mark writes. But I really enjoy reading positive comments from others - like this great review from Ron Berry at the Unwriter blog site and the reader comments:
