Two couples have been friends for years. Their families have hung out, but they've spent many evenings alone as just couples, without the kids. They are comfortable together as a group and they've always enjoyed each other's company. So, Miranda and Kyle wonder why not enjoy each other more on a whole deeper level?
One evening when the two couples are enjoying dinner, the topic of sex comes up. They fall into a flirty discussion that launches the foursome into a new topic they've never explored. Much to Karley and Dean's surprise, their friends are secret swingers. As they get entangled more into their flirtations, Miranda and Kyle decide to trek into new territory with their friends Karley and Dean and bring up the often-called taboo topic of swinging. The foursome launches into a negotiation discussion that might just propel them from friends to lovers, couples style.
With this new exhilarating adventure brewing, each person may just get to saunter down a new path and experience the pleasure of living out a fantasy they've never had the chance to enjoy. Will their new foray into swinging explode Karley's and Dean's sexuality as it did for Kyle and Miranda, or will it leave them devastated they dared to venture into this new alternative lifestyle?

Never Say, Never Swing is an erotic novella by Ruan Willow. This was a quick but scorching hot read that didn't let me go until I finished it. Never Say, Never Swing shows two couples, Kyle and Miranda and Dean and Kayley. They have been friends for years and secretly have been lusting over each other too. The author showed their good bond as friends and at the same time the sexual tension there was. I liked that the story showed swinging doesn't mean you have a bad marriage or sex life but also showed that it's okay to be open with your partner, to talk about sex and ask what you want without being shamed. I loved that consent was an important aspect of the couples time together. They didn't use condoms, and while they talked about other things and made rules, they also didn't talk about using anti-conception. In my opinion the author at least should have mentioned it.
Never Say, Never Swing was a hot read, that touches onto several aspects of kink. I wouldn't have minded if the book had been longer and went deeper into the couples relationships, dynamics and fantasies. This was a good read, I enjoyed it and recommend it to all erotica lovers.
I received an ARC through Booksirens but am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Absolute quick read! With the audiobook experience, I finished the whole book in 1 sitting. It took getting into about chapter 2 or 3 to truly get into the characters, especially with how short of a read it was, there was actual depth to all 4 characters. Definitely brings some spicy scenes to light for those who don't follow this lifestyle and might even make you question things by the end (in the best way).
The story follows 2 sets of couples (Karley + Dean and Miranda + Kyle) as they have a dinner party. We follow Karley's POV as she starts drinking a little too much, and **things** get revealed. Let's just say it turns into a VERY hot and steamy night.
I loved that both couples went over everything in terms of consent and had open conversations about comfort. My main complaint was that Karley and Dean had some comments that shouldn't have been made, specifically the whole "I wish my partner did this more" situation. Additionally, from the audiobook perspective, there were some scenes that seemed almost cringey, especially in the male character portions.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author for an honest review. Despite the free copy, my opinion is based on my own reading experience
Never Say, Never Swing is an exciting new erotic novel about two couples that are long-term friends, and one night that changed their lives. Kyle and Miranda have experience as swingers. Karley and Dean do not. One night they were having dinner together and began talking about swinging. The author did a great job writing about swinging and the experience of the two couples in a respectful way.
The hiring of the male and female narrators was a brilliant choice. I especially liked that the author was one of the narrators. They had pleasant voices and were enjoyable to listen to. The narrators were able to bring the characters to life, with enough intonation to make a distinction as to who they were. The audio quality was exceptional. The narrators’ voice quality and character distinction, pacing and rhythm, and emotional delivery were all on point. I enjoyed the audiobook and recommend it to readers that like steamy romance stories.
As an ARC reader I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily wrote an honest review. Here it is.
Rating: 4 (of 5 stars).
In general: Their first swing.
Main characters: - Kyle and Miranda. They have some experience as swingers.
- Dean and Karley. This couple only fantasized about threesomes and foursomes.
The couples are good friends since years. But afraid to damage their friendship they never discussed their interest in swinging. One night they dine together when unexpectedly their children are staying with friends. During dinner alcohol flows freely and they at last confess their ideas about swinging. Then the author describes in detail their first experiences. Without learning much about the feelings of the characters in this short story the love scenes are hot and vivacious.

Just what I needed to escape reality for a few hours! This is short and steamy story to help you whittle away some extra time you may have. Ruan's short novels have become a fun way for me to spend down time. I enjoy the straight-forward story with just enough fun to get you excited.
Never Say, Never Swing is a bit different from the other Ruan Willow stories that I've read in that it has 2 couples and explores one night of fun between them all. Karley and Dean have what seems to be a fun relationship but are maybe a little less exciting in the bedroom. Enter Kyle and Miranda. Kyle and Miranda propose a new sort of relationship that seems to ignite a new excitement into Karley and Dean's marriage.
I love when a book can pull you in and leave you on a sexual edge and this didn't disappoint. The book follows 2 couples, Dean & Karley - never actually done anything with another couple, and Kyle & Miranda - does have swinger experience. They are all together one night and one thing leads to another.
This is a short, exciting read. Helps you see that any couple could be a in position to need to try new things and that isn't a bad thing. My favorite part is when the author acknowledges that comfort and consent are a must, and that mark wasn't missing.

"Never Say, Never Swing" is a very steamy book! I couldn't put it down since it gripped me from the first page. It's a deep look into the sexual relations between two couples who decided to take their friendship to another level and be swingers with one another.
Ruan Willow has written yet another sexually intense book. What is so interesting is how she described the hesitancy the non-swinging couple had when first discussing their fantasies. Dean, Karley's husband, was surprised to learn what Karley wanted and he had wanted the same things with her. It was a lesson on the importance of good sexual communication.

A simple gathering of befriended couples leads to a beautiful swinging dynamic. I particularly like that we get to witness the careful planning and caring between them. It allows fantasies to finally be voiced between spouses and at the same time shows that these conversations can be just as inspiring – nothing clinical. All of it crescendos into the hot and steamy fulfilment of their desires!

I found this to be a pretty good representation of what a healthy swinging relationship can be. And a great representation of how healthy relationships are based on trust & communication. It was a wild, sexy, funny romp. I've never considered swinging before, but if I had friends like Kyke & Miranda, I'd probably at least think about it. Hope there's a sequel where they fulfill the rest of the items discussed. Would recommend for a quick, super spicy read!
This book was very steamy and an interesting read. Two couples that spent a lot of time together as friends for dinners and conversation up their game after one of the couples suggest they take their friendship to a whole different level. From there the sparks fly and the four of them have lot of fun swinging.

Another sexy shorter story by Ruan. This one is about two couples that are friends that take their relationship to another level one night. I liked that it was not only sexy but they took time to go through each other's wants and needs to make sure that everybody was getting what they needed from this arrangement. The characters seemed very real and flushed out I enjoyed their reactions and their banter between each other.
This was a short spicy novel. It was an easy read and was written pretty well. I liked the characters and feel like this could have been turned into a full story with more content. It did seem like it was a little too short without much development but I did like the concept and the spice!

Great book. Loved that the couples were ready to try something new. Also that they found out more about spouses and their sexual liking's. Ruan did a great job on this book. I want more!!!

This was a short HAWT lighthearted read. This was the first I’ve read from this author and I really enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a quick novella that will literally get you hot, this is the one for you.
Never Say, Never Swing is a super short, super hot novella. Four friends decide to take their friendship to a new level, and no one regrets the decision. If you're looking for a fast, sexy read, then check this one out.
What a great enjoyable short erotica story. I loved reading and actually learning a few things as these two couples begin a swinging relationship. Fantasies and desires revealed, explored and enjoyment all around. Ruan Willow writes and creates great erotica.
I wish there was more! I enjoyed the lead in to the main event. The tease/flirtation between Kyle/Karley and Miranda/Dean is hot. The only thing I would change is more back story to their relationship history.
What just happened here? Talk about 0 to 100 in 10 seconds. Within a few pages, we are getting down and dirty as two couples finally take their flirtation to the next level. I just recently learned that there are code words for swinging. I know the code words for BDSM, but swinging is not really my thing. Let's just say if a couple strikes up a conversation with you and mention how adventurous they are, as well as "free-spirited", perhaps you might want to clarify if they are into LS.

Take every kink that’s pretty mainstream in the romance genre and a bit extended readership and you have the premise of this book.
Friends for a while, neighbors Kyle and Miranda propose swinging with Karley and Dean. And the night is hot with a promise for more.
The author did a great job of explicitly showing all the consent given by both couples and showing how the new to the lifestyle couple touched base a few times during their adventure to ensure their bond was still strong. One thing I felt was overlooked was contraception. And I would have loved this novella to be longer to explore more of their relationship. One night was hot, but how did it continue?
