Funny and scary at the same time

I haven't enjoyed a series of books so much in a very long time. Ms. Sherry has such a way with her story that grabs and then hooks you. You are definitely caught not wanting the story to end. Thank you, and please continue to write more on this wonderful team.

Mystic Angels are my memories.

I am 83. I have had wonderful dogs all my life, but now in a senior home and alone.
Collies, shepherds, corgies, mutts were most often my companions as not really a people person.
I love all your books as have a companion for the time I am reading them.
Thank you!

Angie the Angel - A Continuation of the hunt for a killer

I just finished Mystic Angel and as always I was captured from the first page! I hope MS Burton doesn't run out of stories for Jerry McNeal, because I've enjoyed books 1 thru 8 so much! Jerry has come to Mystic to try to get closure at the insistence of Fred on the disappearance of his little niece, and to help his sister with her loss of her little girl, but first Jerry must find Angie and in the process try to prove another man's innocence. It will keep you reading till the end, but if you haven't read books 1 thru 7 you need to read those first!

Another good episode in the Jerry McNeal series. I know there are other books with many more hours of listening for the same Audible credit, but I enjoy good writing and narration. So I know I will get a few good hours of a good story well told. Plus I like the ghost dog.

There were a handful of laugh-out-loud moments in this book.

I'm still wondering if there will be some hybrid puppies in future stories from one of the episodes in an earlier book - this K-9 ghost dog had a girlfriend in that book

Jerry and Gunter take a side trip on solving the hash tag killer to help a new “friend” and bring closure to him and his sister. Along the way Jerry learns more about ghosts/spirits/angels and also helps several ghosts find peace with each other and the loved ones left behind. The job offer takes on new possibilities and the relationships with Seltzer, Samantha, Granny, and Max stay steady in their assistance and support. These stories fly by and are a delight to read. A great ending and ready for the next!

finding his place in the sun

The hero sharpens his skills communicating with spirits, finds a missing dead child and decides to apply himself in a hew officially sanctioned career. I am not sure if this is fact or fiction: does the US government use psychics in finding missing dead and solving cases? It’s obvious that the hero has found his niche for personal fulfillment and that’s a wonderful thing.

Best Novel of the Series

This short, they all are, book of the series was by far the most enjoyable. Jerry, the MC, still is somewhat unstable IMO. Without the dog, and a bunch of help from others he would be lost. For spending so much time as a marine and a cop, Jerry still doesn't seem to be able to adjust to different situations concerning actual people. One last word, enough already with rubbing his hand over his head, and drinking Bud!

OOOOH WOW!!

What an amazing story! Life is shorter than we realize! These stories are fantastic and Awesome! I have never read anything quite like this series! I lost a sister back in the early 1970s. A motorcycle accident took my sister to heaven! I wish this author had been close to my family at that time so I could have spoken to her before she left the earthly life! I know that normally isn't what really happens. It would have been heavenly!!

I stopped reading these fantastic books after I'd read book #7, but only because I wanted to collect all 18 books in the series so that the stories would flow without having to wait for Sherry to write each one.
It didn't take me long to get into the swing of things and get right into the Jerry and Gunter partnership.
I thoroughly enjoyed my read, the plot was exceptionally good and the dynamic duo won at the end of the day, with a little help from Jerry's friends from the police force

Jerry stops at Mystic, Massachusetts, to help find a little girl who disappeared. One man looks guilty and has been shunned by the town. Jerry uses his senses and finds the little girl and finds out what really happened to her, clearing the man's name and restoring his livelihood. Jerry is still pursued by a man making him an offer he can't refuse, but will that slow his ability to use his talents and solve cases?

Fantastic Duo

Jerry and Gunther have taken a detour from finding the killer in the white van to help a friend whose niece has disappeared. Fred is convinced it was a handyman working on a house a few doors done the day his niece disappeared. But he can't prove it. He's hoping Jerry and Gunther can get to the truth. Excellent story. Thank you.

Out the park!

I waited anxiously for book 8. When your really into a good plot and you know its going be good because of previous 7, LOL,
When I got to end it was such a disappointment. This lady knows how keep her audience coming back. The hash mark killer has come to an end but I'm glad there are side tracks mixed in. Don't attempt read any without starting with first book.

Keep at it, Jerry and Gunter!

As I've said before, I'm totally hooked by these stories. Both Gunter and Jerry are heroes! This story includes the elusive spirit of a little girl, an elderly couple who could use some post-life marriage counseling, and some living people that need help, too. I can't stop reading.

Enjoy the Comfort of reading this series

Jerry McNeal has taken a break from the Hash Mark killer serial killer to try to discover what happened to a little girl.
Though Jerry and Max believe she is probably dead, he needs to find her spirit and let her family know what happened to her. Was she murdered by the person most believe or something else.

I am continuing to enjoy following psychic Jerry and his side-kick Gunter, the ghost K-9 police dog, as they help a number of ghosts as well as the living whose lives are touched by said ghosts find some peace and solace. A number of laugh out loud moments to be found in this series as both human and dog negotiate their own relationship

Review of this book.

This wss a truly enjoyable story. Jerry accomplished a lot in this story. He helped quite a few people, both living and dead. He is definitely carrying a torch for a certain lady. I hope to see how that turns out in a future story. A few other possibilities in that area have turned up in this book. His granny is a hoot. All around good reading.

Hard to figure what a child will do or say…

Even when the cold is now a ghost. Have you ever thought about how a man would react to a child that thought of him as “Stranger…Danger” when they were a ghost? Even if the man was a psychic who was trying to help them? Read and find out.

Love this series. I read a lot of police/fbi/ legal thrillers and needed something
lighter for a change. This sweet, funny, impossible series is perfect! Even
better than I expected, and each book seems to be better than the last. I like
the way Jerry and the story flow and evolve from one book to the next. And
Gunter is wonderful. This series would make a really great movie.

I loved this one

I loved this story. Jerry is getting better and better and so are the stories. This one has him going to CT. I used to live in RI and have been to Mystic CT a few times. All the places mentioned I knew about and it was fun to read Jerry’s adventures there. Pretty good story and amazing writing. Not one to miss. Happy reading.

A kid angel

Really enjoy these books. They are good clean reads and entertaining as well. Jerry and Gunter are helping a friend discover the truth about a missing child. Jerry keeps learning about his gift and there are always adventures to be had. You won't regret reading this series if you enjoy these kind of books with the paranormal and a mystery.

Book 8 and on to Mystic, CT. Another winner. And Jerry and Gunter are widening their support group. Love how each book is fast, with so much packed into the story. Loving the fact that I can now move right onto book 9 - and completely trust that it will be as fun and interesting as all the rest. Love the author; love the narrator of the audio books.

Continuing to enjoy psychic Jerry and Gunter, the ghost police dog, as they help ghosts and the living find some peace and solace, while I am still interested in Jerry finding a serial killer. Relatable characters, simple plot and good endings keep me following this series.

best ghost story ever.

I couldn’t put it down. So much to ponder. I like that it asked questions like do spirits eat and do they like to snuggle. I’m anxious to see if the four victims will confront Jerry. Will they take him to the next woman?
