Colby Rhodes left Sweet Mountain on his motorcycle at the age of eighteen and never came back, not even when his younger brother died.
But after twelve years, when his sister-in-law mysteriously disappears, he returns to help take care of his nephew, Jesse.
But he didn't expect the changes he found at Sweet Mountain, particularly from Maryanne Smithfield, Pastor John's daughter. The first impression is not the best, but as they spend time together, she soon realizes that behind the bad boy image, Colby is a good man.
As they get to know each other better, Colby also investigates Penny's disappearance and tries to make amends with Pastor John over his past mistakes.
I loved the story and the characters. I highly recommend the reading.

I read the ebook edition of this book, but that edition is not available to select. Likeable characters and a decent story. Her father was extremely frustrating in his unforgiving attitude to the hero. I was glad that an explanation and a sincere apology for past actions were able to finally help him let go of the grudge he was holding.

This was a very interesting book. I would like to read the next two books in the series to see what happens to the brother and sister of this family. I would recommend this book to other people. I really appreciate that it was a clean book with no swearing.

I really enjoyed this story. Well written, but needs improved proof reading/edits.

Interesting! Enjoyed it, yet found the reason for Penny’s disappearance to be disappointing. Also the explanation for his work seemed incomplete. Would consider reading another by this author.
