Myra Cohn Livingston was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Her family moved to California when she was 12 years old. She studied the French horn from age 12 to age 20, becoming so good that the Los Angeles Philharmonic invited her to join them when she was 16 years old. She had other plans. She knew she wanted to write.
Goodreads tells me I read this once before, but I don’t remember it all that well. It is a fun collection to pull out near a child’s birthday. Light and humorous. Includes one poem each for ages 1-8 plus many more general poems.
Another one for the children's poetry collection. Mine came with a little tear in the corner of the dust jacket, but happy to find another Myra Cohn Livingston title for the shelf.
One good idea that came from reading the poems. What about older games like "Tray" being a form of anticipatory sets before reading a longer work?
