B is for Best Bedtime Book ever.
Banana, persistently silly star of Counting to Bananas, is back for an hilarious alphabet journey from awake to zzzz.
The snappy dialog between kind but tired narrator and cute but cheeky banana is laugh-out-loud funny, with brilliantly-bananas illustrations to match. Just gets funnier with each re-reading. Which is a good thing, because this one's going to be in heavy bedtime rotation with the littles.

A laugh-out-loud funny alphabet picture book about a zany banana who absolutely does not want to go to bed. It begins with A (for Awake), continues through the alphabet as the banana comes up with contrary bedtime routines. It's a lively romp filled with puns until eventually the banana gets to Y (for YAAWWWWN) and Z when the banana is "finally zonked." A fun book to share at bedtime or at any other time that high energy silliness is called for.

Incorrigible Banana does everything within its power to rewrite this bedtime story, including protesting the usual bedtime rituals as the reader makes their way from A to Z. Banana marks out some of the words, putting their preferred words in their place. Some of the words, like "K is for Keister" are hilarious. And I love that the last word is "Z is for zonked" because Banana is finally snoozing. Very clever and with fabulously fun illustrations. Sure to be a hit!

This book is a great read with or without its companion book (Counting to Bananas). It follows an energetic young banana on an alphabetized shenanigans leading up to bedtime. The patient but insistent narrator guides Banana through the familiar bedtime routines with activities, like taking a bath, brushing teeth, and putting on pajamas. Meanwhile, Banana keeps trying to change the script: the M for moon becomes a martian adventure, the R for Relax becomes a robot game. Despite all his protests, all this activities starts to wear out banana. Humorous illustrations by the illustrator accompany pun-filled jokes by the author, making this book the perfect way to wind down little ones who aren't quite ready to settle at night. Parents will relate to the narrator, while kids will enjoy rooting for Banana.

Our friend, Banana, is not ready to go to bed. In fact, he's so far from ready, he's about to take this bedtime story to another level...as in a full on takeover where bedtime turns into playtime, but don't worry... the narrator knows just what they're doing and by alphabets end, things will turn out just right. 😉
Readers of all ages will love how the story develops, while having a little bit of ABC fun along the way, and just when you didn't think you could add anything else of merit, you've got the brilliantly colored and funny illustrations to dazzle the eyes. It's charming, and witty, and a great time to be had, whether in a classroom setting, or fighting off those first threads of sleep.

A fabulous sequel to Tillotson and Lourenco's Counting To Bananas! While the narrator tries to get Banana in the mood for sleep by naming bedtime-related words that match each letter of the alphabet, Banana flips the script with hilarious hijinks all the way through in his effort to avoid bedtime at all costs. As in the original book, both the text and illustrations are full color and fun, with wordplay, puns and jokes sprinkled throughout. This is a book that will absolutely become a bedtime staple. Kids will go bananas over this one and will want to read it over and over (and parents will find it a-PEEL-ing as well!). Great book!

No one wants to go to 🛏 bed, especially not 🍌 Banana! He’s caught in the middle of a bedtime story, and he’ll do everything in his power to change the story so he can stay up later. Eventually, some trickery has him requesting ⭐️ Stars and he quickly starts to succumb to his 💤 drowsiness.
I know for a lot of kids bedtime is a real struggle. My son’s bedtime is way later than I care to admit, and even he fights it. However, he does enjoy our 🌙 nightly bedtime stories. This is one he has chosen many times and even likes to “read” alone using the large letters and pictures together as context clues.

Bedtime stories are some of the best kinds. Alphabet books are rather classic. B is for Bananas combines the two. This wild banana doesn't want to go to bed, so he changes B is for Bedtime to B is for Bananas! He makes a whole assortment of other changes to his bedtime words, doing his best to keep up late. It's silly and clever, never forced, and so brilliantly illustrated. A book parents don't mind reading, kids find uproariously funny, and everyone wins in the end. Fabulous bedtime story.

This second book in the series is just as fun as the first. My 4yo was laughing throughout. He has said himself many times that bedtime is boring so he could relate to Banana and the ways to delay bedtime. You will not see the typical words for each letter in this alphabet book, which made the anticipation of each page turn that more entertaining to see what unique choices the author came up with and the accompanying silly pictures by the illustrator. We can't wait to see if there will be a book 3!

Our favorite banana is BACK, and the hijinks are bigger than ever! This alternative alphabet bedtime book sees the narrator attempt to soothe our favorite banana through the bedtime routine. But banana is not so sure about going to bed and resists with hilarious results. Although this book is full of antics, it ultimately has a soothing ending as banana succumbs to the soothing powers of a good lullaby.

Author Carrie Tillotson and illustrator Estrela Lourenco have done it again! Kiddos will go bananas for this completely "a-peeling" companion to the hit picture book, COUNTING TO BANANAS. This time, Banana is trying to avoid bedtime in this hilarious, adorable, alphabet story. A definite "must have" for any collection with "read it again, read it again" star quality from Flamingo Books!

A fantastic sequel to the COUNTING TO BANANAS book, and Banana has got so much of a personality! Banana's antics are super hilarious and the words perfectly match the wonderful illustrations on every page. My 4-year old absolutely loved COUNTING TO BANANAS and she can't wait to get her hands on this one! If you're looking for a humor-on-every-page book for your little ones, be sure to introduce them to Banana.

Your favorite fruit-narrator pair is back for another hilarious read aloud!!! Banana and the narrator go back and forth, as Banana thinks an alphabet book about bedtime is boring! He thinks it should be about bananas!! He shows his creativity and imagination, even changing the narrator's answers, creating a romping, laugh-out-loud journey through the alphabet! Perfect for readers who enjoy humor, wordplay, puns and who want to giggle with their caregiver before bedtime!

I'm tired of the trend of meta picture books, but this one is a joy! The snappy dialogue and energetic illustrations will appeal to kids and their caregivers, and the book is genuinely funny and has a good sense of flow and pacing. This will become a favorite bedtime book for many families, and it's also good as an alphabet book for kids who are already familiar with letters and will enjoy the unconventional, silly take.

B Is for Bananas, a follow-up to Counting to Bananas, is not your typical alphabet book. While the narrator tries to create bedtime associations for each letter of the alphabet, the adorable and hilarious character of Banana has other ideas. The word play and humour are fabulous, plus kids will relate to Banana's efforts to stay awake. A great read aloud at any time of day with bright, fun illustrations.

But why would Banana cooperate when it’s so much more fun to jump, do a banana split, and dress up as a pirate. One of the cleverest alphabet books I've read, where Banana thinks B for bedtime is Boring, so B must be for Bananas. All the way through the bedtime routine to Zzzz, Banana fights bedtime the whole way. Q is always one of the letters to check in an alphabet book that aims to tell a story, and this shows a winner, where Banana turns it from bedtime appropriate Quiet to the more rambunctious Quarterback.

It's hard not to love this energetic banana that likes to be center stage and awake well past bedtime. What an adorable story! Kids are used to learning letter from objects, or animals... A is always for Apple, Z is always for Zebra. This book takes a new, fun twist on learning the alphabet - by following this funny Banana who has different ideas for what words should go with the letters, children will learn to think out of the box while learning letters.

B is for Bananas puts a great twist on typical ABC books. Filled with funny puns and hysterical interactions between the main character and the book itself, this story makes for such an enjoyable and lively read (plus it teaches the ABCs!). If there were more than 5 start options, this book would have it! Wonderful in every way!
