What do you do when your one night stand turns out to be your boss?
Aiden just got a promotion and is looking to celebrate. With a in at from his best friend to the hot new club in town, they head out for a night of dancing and drinks. Aiden takes to the dance floor as soon as they arrive, ignoring everyone and everything around him.
Miguel Stryker is a man known for his fierce business sense, his dazzling good looks, and the fact that most everyone he works with is afraid of him. Miguel believes in business first. Always.
When Miguel catches sight of Aiden, he can't stop himself from approaching the small man with the large personality. All thoughts of business go to the wayside as passion stirs between the two men.
At least until Aiden shows up to the office on Monday as the new hire.

The second edition of this story features 20,000 more words and put through another round of edits. The base of the story is the same, however we do get to see more of the couple than before.
There are two versions of this book. It took me a little while before it clicked which one I'd read. The other one was 50-something pages. This one was apparently updated, and has 100-plus pages.
With that being said....
This started out really good. I was loving how Miguel saw Aiden on the dance floor and knew he had to have him. Aiden was all too eager to go anywhere Miguel wanted to go. ;) They ended up playing around in the back of a car before ending up at Miguel's place where they spent one hell of a night together. Well, almost all night. Aiden going blindly with this total stranger was careless, but a lot of people saw them leave together and all that.
I loved every single page of that. The sex scenes were hot, the story was good, and everything was coming together nicely.
Then it wasn't. It took a nosedive for me at exactly 60%.
There's insta-love, and there's these guys. From one hot night, and no last names exchanged, to the L word being spoken - in under three days.
As soon as that happened, it was downhill for me. I have no issue with insta-love, but it simply did not work with these two, not in my opinion.
I absolutely despised Taylor, Aiden's best friend. Good Lord, the woman was nuts. I won't even go into all the reasons why or I'd be here for a while.
I did love Tucker, Miguel's assistant, and the reason I read this to begin with. I loved Tucker in Bailey, so I wanted to see where he started. There's another book in between this one and Tucker's story, Tuck & Run. I may just skip the next one and go on to see how Tucker and Patrick got together. I don't like skipping ahead in series, but the two main characters in the second book just don't appeal to me.
Overall, this book was okay. I didn't hate it. I just felt that once the L word was said between these guys, there wasn't anything else to work for. As far as I'm concerned, everything after that was just words that added pretty much nothing to the story.
Aiden, freshly promoted and ready to celebrate, hits the dance floor at a trendy new club—unaware that his spontaneous one-night stand will turn his professional life upside down. The man he connects with is Miguel Stryker: a powerful, intimidating executive known for his sharp business acumen and commanding presence. Their chemistry is undeniable, but the real shock comes when Aiden walks into work on Monday and discovers Miguel is his new boss. What began as a night of passion now threatens to complicate both their careers, as desire clashes with workplace boundaries and reputations.
I enjoyed this story with the passion between the two men and the way that they tried to sort out their working lives to isolate each other from conflicts of interest. It was very much an instalove story but it was also enjoyable. Not many emotions and feelings but they are clear and easy to understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
If you like touch him he's mine vibes you'll love this. It is immensely steamy and the power Aiden unknowingly holds over Miguel is strong. He is a business mogul, who everyone knows, but he is in a tailspin when he thinks he will never find Aiden after their night together. It's a novella, so love is declared early, but I didn't mind it. Miguel knows what he wants, he's used to making high risk decisions, it would be more out of character if he didn't say it early. This was just the story I needed with an element of grumpy/Sunshine and possessive instant attraction. No beating round the bush, it dives straight in. I loved the secondary characters, Tucker and Taylor, added fun and lightness amongst the intensity. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I thought I read this already because the characters are brought up in other books I’ve read. It seems I’ve missed this whole series. I’m going to read it now. Hopefully more of this author’s work is coming soon because I think I’m running out of stuff of theirs to read lol
