Great help

Our Board switched to the policy governance model in the last two years, and it has changed everything for the better. This book deepened my understanding of the model very well.

Policy Governance, at its core, is a relatively simple concept: come to agreement about where authority lies, codify that with policy, and then have each party step out of the way of the other, using the do-not-cross lines drawn in the policies to achieve mutual goals. In practice, it is tougher to implement, and while this guide is certainly more accessible than the original Carver book, it does not truly help figure out how to implement the philosophy. Still, a good read for those interested and looking for further tools.
