Interesting primary source for James Alexander Thom's book, Follow The River. Very basic account of Mary Ingles' remarkable experience. A bit difficult to read, as it retains the author's grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Glad I read Thom's book first.

This book sucks!! I gave 20 bucks for it think it would be an accurate historical account of the events and to my surprise it was no more than rambling gibberish and unimpressive details. Don’t waste your money on this one!

This book is the story of Mary ingles as written by her son. The grammar, spelling, etc are awesome. I liked reading more about Thomas Ingles and his experiences with the Indians. The fact that Mary Ingles had such a crazy experience is mind boggling. I liked this book because it written by Mary Ingles son but "Follow the River" is incredible and brings Mary's experience to life in a way this book didn't.

The story of the Indian capture of amazing Mary Draper Ingles and her subsequent escape. This lady was a survivor! Intelligent, adaptable and extremely hardy, she walked over 800 miles back to her family home. This book inspired a novel and a movie. The true story is a jaw dropper.
