I came across this book by way of fellow poet and friend, RB Morris, who is a contributing writer in this volume. I found each perspective so engaging that I later went back to Naked Lunch, and found new things to like about it. Highly recommended to any fan of Burroughs, or any student seeking insight on the text.

200615: ... you have to like burroughs, like naked lunch, think it some kind of masterpiece- this book encourages me to read it again- to get this dossier. not exactly review, critique, given literary theory-thick deconstruction. as collection, some essays are great, some less, and in many ways this is given to being any social document, postmodern text, as read in many other cultures, places, eras, from germany to south africa to paris to lawrence, kansas... interesting, indulgent, jolting, fun ...more
