Itzue W. Caviedes-Solis is Assistant Professor in Conservation Biology at Swarthmore College, Pennsylvania. Hailing from Mexico, her research focuses on the ecology, evolution, and conservation of tropical frogs.

This book about frogs was entertaining and fun. This will be an informational book I would purchase for my library. It is really well done.

Another book to put on your shelves from "A Day in the Life" series. Readers cannot help but be regaled by these fun facts about different species of frog. Whether it is how the male moor frog who turns from brown to blue to distinguish himself from females, or how a turtle frog burrows underground, the curiosity surrounding these creatures is endless. It is well-written, accessible, and robust at the same time. The art pairs well with the formatting, although more contrast around some of the main subjects would help readers understand the depiction better.

I love the "Day in the Life" books! Every book is packed with facts and information that is easily understandable. Despite lengthy pages or paragraphs, information laid out in this book is inviting. Paragraphs are spaced well, the font is easy to read, and sight words are bold and further explanations are highlighted. The illustrations are so colorful and realistic.

I had the unique opportunity of reading this book as a Wonderbook, and it was exceptional. So exciting to see non-fiction audio books with loads of information for our little friends with curious minds.

Really interesting book about frogs--I like that it's written by an actual herpetologist and not some random children's book author. The illustrations are beautiful and colorful, and there's a species list in the back of the book I can imagine a frog-loving kiddo loving the amount of information packed into this book about frogs and toads around the world.
