In a remote kingdom, there lived a princess, adored by her subjects and wielding powerful magic. But as her land was ravaged by an endless war, she lost everything: her people, her family, her loved ones, and eventually, her own life. Until she opened her eyes and awoke in a place she’d never seen before!
A thousand years have passed, and she finds herself reincarnated into someone else's body. Realizing the person she's now living as is despised by her own family and even her fiancé, the former princess struggles to understand this new world and the events that have transpired since her death. There’s a lot to be upset about, but first on the list: how in the world did future magic turn out so lame?
And I am severely disappointed. It felt like the art changed slightly and the story all of a sudden made no sense to me. I can give you my best guess at what each new POV was for, but it came out so abruptly and (honestly, I think it's the worst timing) and now they're calling her Dorothy? Why is there back story for one thing but not for another? I'm at a complete loss and so sad. I had high expectations after volume 1 and with each one I read, it went down drastically.
I enjoyed how much plot progression and character background we got in this volume. My only complaint is how there wasn't a small recap of the last volume. It's been 10 months since I've read the last one and I don't remember much about it.
I can't make sense of this novel or series. The only reason I've finally decided to finish reading this series is to find out if Leticiel is returned to her own time, or if she passes on and joins her loved ones, like Nao, in the afterlife. This series is multilayered but more confusing than anything else. I'm disgusted by the cruelty and jealousy of the humans, and even now, I have absolutely no clue how any of this is connected to Leticiel. That frustrates me, and I can't find any spoilers on Google, which is just as aggravating. Yes, I'm reading this series to the end, but I don't think I'll enjoy it. Maybe this series will be one of those "I Read ... So You Don't Have To!" kinds of sagas. This was confusing, boring, and I bet I missed some connections, but this is so forgettable to me that I won't remember reading this by next Sunday...
I guess we have lost the plot. I saw so many reviews on how people read the volumes months apart as they released and figured reading back to back would solve this issue; somehow I *still* can't make any sense of it. Super disappointing, the first volume was such a strong start.. the second one fell off a bit, but it came back so strong on volume three!! sorry to do it, but DNF about halfway through this one. :(
This volume was so good. I should have sympathy for Tenebrae, but I don't. She brought this upon herself and the other elementals. She believed that man, followed him with others and she let them be taken, used and abused.
This manga is really Everything Happens So Much. I’ve almost completely lost track of the plot. I don’t think reading it a volume at a time every few months is doing me any favors. 😅
