Love is a Beautiful Game: PJ & Zoo's Story
Life has a way of throwing curve balls at you and for Naomi, she was hit with a major blow during one of the biggest events of her life.Getting news about her health that takes her from what she loves, is the last thing Naomi wanted to hear. With a man like Sin, he wasn’t about to let his woman stay down for long and he’ll stop at nothing to prevent her from falling into a dark place.
Pen has to hold it together while being worried about her sister and finishing the playoffs strong, without Naomi by her side. Zoo stepped up and became that crutch that Pen needed, the only thing is, she doesn’t want him to be. Leaving Zoo to pick up his feelings and grant her wishes to stay away.
Bri and Brooklyn have taken things a step further and their friendship has blossomed. Thinking things with their past is behind them, Teddy shows his face but is not prepared for the heat that’s waiting for him.

In my Florida Evans voice, damn, damn, damn!!!! 😩😩😩😩 I figured this book would end with a cliffhanger but, I did not see that coming! Y’all didn’t have to gut punch me like that! Lawd, I wasn’t ready. Whew! Honestly, I don’t even know what to say at this point. That ending has me stuck and my brain won’t function. These damn cliffhangers are gon’ be the death of me. Just read the book y’all.

While this book is entertaining, I felt it didn’t really focus on Zoo and PJ as a couple. I felt the majority of the focus was on Sin and Naomi. I felt we didn’t even get to crack the surface of Zoo and PJ’s journey because of the unfinished storyline of book one. Also, the multiple POV’s also doesn’t help flesh out the couples journey to love. Additionally, I feel like this book didn’t give us the play by play sports action like the first book. Since this book ends with a cliffhanger, i am going to continue to read but I truly wish these books were stand-alone a with just two couples POV

Why!!!!!!!! I knew it was going to be another cliffhanger 😩😩🤧🤧😪😪 I LOVE these couples!! Book 2 picks right on up where we left off in book 1. We find out what happened to Naomi and why.🙃 Sin is everything and I just love him…. After this book, Zoo is definitely BAE!! He was everything in this book and even though PJ TRIED IT. They got it together… I should’ve known by the way things were going so well that it wouldn’t last! 😪🤧I loved Sin’s mom per usual and Brooklyn’s mama had me crying in a corner while dropping gems! I pray we don’t have to wait long for book 3!

I loved this story, Zoo is such a man but he can get real petty if needed. Naomi and Sin still have my heart and I don’t see that changing. I love the characters and the dialogue. It was really sweet.

Another great story!!!
The gang is back and from the beginning I am hooked again. I am trying to read slow because I know the last installment is still I the works 🤣🤣🤣.
Naomi and Sin, what can you say about these two. That love is strong and and that bell was about to drive Sin crazy but I felt for Naomi.
PJ she got on my nerves with how she was treating Zoo when all he was trying to do was make sure that she was supported with berthing she had on her plate and the main thing she can think of is him ghosting her after he got some. He not once showed her that’s how he would do her. When Sins mom gave PJ that little food I hollered🤣🤣🤣, this series is just amazing!
Bri (Bronx) and Brooklyn, now they are my second favorite. That Emily girl I wanted to smack 🔥 into her. Teddy Teddy Teddy, Bri should have been left him and I am glad Brooklyn was always there to support her. That scene at Brooklyns birthday party with Mrs. Smith 😩😩😩…I said in my other review on book 1 that Brooklyn was going to need Bri for support but I think he is going to need all the ladies!

A fun story
You all, I HATE Cliffhangers more than a swimmers wedgie. I wanted to not be aggravated with myself for not checking first, but it's not helping my frustration. I really liked this story even though the grown men are super childish and so are the women. The sports parts helps to elevate the story from okay to good. Please finish this story with book three, please and thank you. 3.0 stars.

Loved all the couples!!! I am glad ZOO and PJ got it together!! Zoo got her all the way right!!! Brooklyn was hilarious and I loved his interaction with Bronx, especially when they started GOING TOGETHER 😂😂!! Sin was also hilarious😂!!! The way he loved MiMi was cute. She was sooo funny with her pregnancy. That ending though 🤦🏽♀️. Can’t wait for the next one!!!

Excellent story
I really enjoyed the continuation of this series. I loved Zoo and Pj’s story. I love how supportive Zoo was to Pj. Really enjoying the WNBA aspect of this story. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This is book 2. If you have not read book 1, Sin and Naomi’s book, do that first.
This book is supposed to be about PJ and Zoo, but this is so much about Naomi and Sin. I thought this would happen based on how much PJ, Zoo, Brooklyn, and Brianna were featured in book 1. If they hadn’t labeled these with the individual couples, it wouldn’t be a big issue. However it would still be heavy on Sin and Naomi and need to show the other couples more.

really good but needs slight editing
Having multiple POVs and storylines in one book is a feat many authors are now trying, though not many successfully pull it off. This book is the BEST I’ve read yet to execute this! All three storylines felt necessary to the book, and it was done in a way that wasn’t overwhelming with too many names or too much information. I loved all the characters, but Zoo is definitely one of my favorites. His parts kept me laughing. The banter in this book is top tier and so natural.
I initially liked that the dialogue was written in AAVE and spelled exactly how the words are spoken; however, for some of these words, the spelling was the same as dictionary words, with completely different meanings. This became a distraction because a few times too many, I found myself rereading to decipher what word was meant to be used. Also, misused homophones riddled the entire book. Little things like this should’ve been caught by an editor, but in all, this was still a great read. Definitely one of my favorites of the year!

Shot clock book 2
I had a feeling this book would end on a cliffhanger but I still wasn't ready for the ending. This book drew me in just like book 1 and I hope book 3 is released sooner than later because I need to find out what happens next. Each book has focused on all 3 couples but I think each was supposed to focus more on that couple than the rest and I feel it could have been executed a little better or just take the focus off the couple in the title. Either way this book was amazing and that little complaint doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the book but is moreso a warning for readers of what to expect. New Favorite Story
Just like the first one, I loved this story! It was beautiful. I love how each couple has their own book but we still get to know about the other couples in all of them.
Naomi & Sin are too cute together and are perfect for each other. Just like Pen & Zoo are perfect for each other as well. I’m glad she came around & came to her senses about giving our boy chance. He was rough around the edges at first but under the rough edge he’s a good one and he was patient with her. I dislike the ending for him though. AJ & M Monique could’ve let someone else’s bullet hit Teddy. Out of all people why it had to be Zoo?! 😭😭 everything was just getting good for him.
I can’t wait to see how things unfold for everyone in the third book.
As always you two ladies are doing an amazing job in this book world! Please continue to keep up the amazing work ❤️

Lord know Pen got on my muthafn nerves, but I’m so glad she finally came to her senses. Had Zoo out there giving his all and she was being selfish. I understood where Mimi was coming from, but I felt bad for Sin because she almost sucked all the excitement out him because of her pass traumas. Brooklyn is made for Bri Bronx! She has someone who caters to her needs finally because Teddy’s funk tail self sure wasn’t. It’s sad that his mom has cancer and he’s having a hard time dealing with that. Now we need Brooklyn to get Teddy because he violated in a major way. I hope Zoo pulls through! Can’t wait for the next book! This book definitely had some funny moments with Zoo’s crazy behind.

***Before I start this review by saying I have decided to title M. Monique and A.J. Davidson the dynamic duo because their pen game is on another level! ***
Well… I got what I asked for and so much more! M. Monique and A.J. Davidson have added more excellence to an already perfect series. I couldn’t wait for Zoo and PJ’s story but after how book one ended, I also needed answers and boyyyy did I get them.
Now let me say Zoo is bae!!! Y’all know from my other reviews I love a cocky, reckless mouthed man who can also be sweet and caring. Zoo hits all the marks even if he is a little over the top with it. His determination to get Pj was entertaining to say the least and although he gave it his all she still had to bring him down a peg or two and that only made their story better.
I said in my review of Sin and Naomi’s story that I loved the flow and transitions in this series. There are separate stories that all run on the same timeline so now I need more of Brooklyn and Brianna (yes, I know I’m needy) because their situationship needs to progress. I also need to take a breather because again these ladies have left me gasping with this ending and now, I need more answers!
I will now be impatiently waiting for Brooklyn and Bianna’s story which I know will be something serious since they have been going for two books and some things or people need to be handled!

I think I’m having palpitations
PJ and Zoo’s story was everything and more!! All the love, laughs, romance, and angst are definitely ramped up a few notches. PJ tripping, Zoo ain’t having it. Naomi and Sin working through fear and planning on the future. Brooklyn and Bri have stars in their eyes, but you just know there is something lurking around the corner that is going to make their journey rocky. AJ and M really are in their bag with this series and they are two authors I can’t wait to drop a new book. And with the way they did us AGAIN in book two, book three better be right around the corner!! 👀.

Loving this series!!
Oooh whew! Ok Ash & Monique! All I'm going to say is. Those Smith men don't play around at all. This series is so good. I, love how Sin,is just loving on Naomi, and it letting her sit around thinking that she's going to lose their baby. PJ, was gonna mess around and miss out on a good man. Zoo, may be a lil touched but, baby!! He gonna be there for the people he cares for. Brooklyn, done mess around, and told Bronx, they go together real bad, and she better not play with his heart. These sisters are stubborn and just like Mimi in book one, PJ was just aggravating with Zoo. She was so mean that my boo had to take a step back. We all understood the pressure PJ was under because of what happened to Mimi, but Zoo was so supportive that he didn’t deserve her wrath. Ms. PJ will learn to stop being a meanie!
I didn’t like that Mimi had to miss the playoffs because to me that defeats the purpose of the series. I guess the authors wanted to show that PJ could carry the torch!
I enjoyed the three cousins (Sin, Zoo and Brooklyn)! They were thick as thieves and really treated and cared about the best friends!
Hoping everything will be good with Brooklyn’s mom else he will be devastated!
Teddy is a loser and I wonder if Mimi ex or his mom have something to do with what happened when she was with him? Seems suspicious AF IJS!

I really enjoyed this part of the story although the pave was a bit slower than book 1 it was good. Pj is a hot mess and I'm happy she grew up... Zoo is a different type of mess and Sin and Brooklyn are poster children of the book bea gang... I hope all is ok and book 3 gets closer and some happy news for everyone.

Talk about frustration, why did y’all do this to us? I knew that things were going too good. This only makes me feign for book three. This book was well written and I absolutely loved the humor that was written into it. PJ and Zoo really cared for each other, but PJ just didn’t know how to handle it. Sin and Naomi makes such a cute couple. Bri and Brooklyn was always there for each other. The family dynamics in this book were also amazing. Great job ladies.

This book has so many points it's making, living life as you should really stands out. Naomi and Sin are no longer waiting to see what's gonna happen they're making it happen. Pj is not going to keep

Oh my goodness! These cliffhangers are taking me out. Not my boo Zoo…just when the fam is gearing up for their happily ever after afters tragedy strikes… and If you know anything about them Smiths it’s about to be ugly for those involved. I loved PJ and Zoo together and I’m glad my girl came to her senses and went to get her man because my baby Zeus was hurt… So far I am loving this series and I can’t wait for Bronx and Brooklyn

So I absolutely enjoyed this book but I have to say I could have used a bit more PJ/Zoo…..this was their book so I wanted to spend more time with them together. Other than that I enjoyed it, I’m very excited about Bri/Brooklyn’s story and I’m hopi g that everything is wrapped up in nicely. Zoo was not to be played with and he had to teach PJ a lesson bc she was trippin. I wanted to shake some sense into her but she got herself together. That cliffhanger done had me stressed out for 4 days so I’m gonna need book 4 ASAP.

I love the the way the author can have me,laughing, crying, and using many emotions. PJ, Zoo, Sin, Naomi , Brooklyn, and Bri are great characters and I love how they take care of each other. I just wish it could be one book so I can read it without any time between stories.
