When you’ve been waiting for the final instalment in a book series that your family utterly adore, it’s a delight to reconnect with the characters that you love and adventure alongside them on their next quest!

From the first book the Firefox adventures have been all about finding your inner fire with the support of your friends. The Lost Sunlion is certainly full of that same heart, fire and friendship.

Imbued with Welsh language and folklore, this fast-paced magical adventure not only gets the coveted “just one more chapter” reading it together felt like a true cwtch creating lasting family memories. With firefoxes, sunlions, giants and a whole menagerie of mythical-inspired creatures, I love the Pokemon-vibes of this story and so do the bairns! And will have your kids wishing for their very own Firefox!

I bought this book for my daughter as we had already read the other two and thought they were great. I was recommended the first book by my brother. We enjoyed this book as we come from Wales and could identify with the characters and the story. We read this book quickly as we couldn't wait to see what would happen next

I absolutely loved this series! We definitely need more Welsh inspired children's books written by Welsh authors. This trilogy seamlessly uses Welsh to enhance the characters, setting and plot. Hopefully the author will consider writing a YA book one day as I'd really like to see more YA by Welsh authors particularly with the correct use of Welsh. Bendigedig, Lee!

I love the world Lee Newbury has created in these books. The animals are so magical and whimsical (and at times a little scary) and the children are so fun and relatable - I can see parts of my younger self in all of them. I have really enjoyed this whole trilogy and can't wait to read more of this author's work in the future!

I loved this final adventure! All kinds of brilliant fun, great friends, terrifying bad guys and the gorgeous magic that this series brings. I loved the sunlion so much… and how accepting of LGBT characters this series is brings my queer little heart joy!
