They call me the quiet brother—but I’m just as brutal, dark, and broken.

No woman has ever breached the walls of my heart, and I’m content with who I am. Until Mia Tucci seeks me out.

The New York Mafia princess is an enemy, a fantasy with midnight hair, violet eyes, and a body that promises hours of sin—and she needs my help. But helping her will cost me.

When she barters information that could take down her family’s operation, I’m too intrigued to turn her away. And as we get to know one another, my defenses fracture, tempting me to give her my trust.

But no one in the Mafia is innocent.

My only hope is that intertwining our futures to protect her from her family will not be at the price of mine.

Rivals is the seventh amazing book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. Again, another fantastic instalment in this stellar series- which I have said with every book that has released, but it’s true- the series just gets better and better with each new instalment, and now I am hard-pressed to choose a favourite from amongst them all because they are all so brilliant!
IAs with the rest of the series, this is a fantastic mafia romance- a romantic suspense, with an enemies to lovers element, plenty of action, danger, drama, intrigue, mafia politics, chemistry, passion, steam, tension, emotion, hidden agendas, dramatic developments, and so much more.
This is Mia and Nico’s story- and wow, you’d better buckle yourself in for this one. When Mia needs help, she turns to Nico for help… Nico is intrigued, but she’s the enemy. With far more than their hearts at stake, and you know what they say about ‘no good deed goes unpunished’- so what happens here makes for quite a riveting read.
You won’t want to miss this exciting story… but be prepared to develop a taste for Ms. McKinley’s stories. One book won’t be enough.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Amy McKinley!

Rivals is about a mafia princess who is trying to take down her family and seeks marriage for protection from a rival mafia family.

I really enjoyed this book. Amy McKinley is a new to me author and I really enjoyed her writing style, her characters and plot.

Mia is a bold, smart, stubborn 20 year old. Instead of waiting to see what life will throw at her. She makes her own path, not caring if it will kill her.

Nico is a smart, calculating, and obviously handsome underboss. Although he is cautious he knew that protecting Mia would be his undoing.

The plot was written perfectly. It kept me engaged, it had the mafia action packed I loved so much, and the villains kept you on your toes. The only thing I wanted for the plot was the unpredictability aspect. It was predictable and safe, however I did enjoy it.

Overall, I would recommend book. This is the only book I have read in the series and I was not lost.

Review:

“Whatever came at us next—and I was well aware that would be sooner rather than later—I was no longer alone. We would tackle each adversary as husband and wife.”

When Mia sees herself in an impossible situation, her best chances at getting justice and escaping the abuse she suffers from her father and step-brother is marrying an underboss of a rival family, Nico.

Nico is not thinking of marriage and also his suspicions don’t allow him to agree immediately with Mia’s plans. I had never read before a mafia book where the woman had to seek the man and it was a very interesting experience. The action scenes were thrilling. It was also great to see the women involved in them.

Overall I liked the book, I just think there could be more scenes between the couple alone, without secondary characters. It was my first time reading a book from this series and while it was completely possible I wish I had read the previous books to know more about the other characters. So it’s something you should probably consider.

*** I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. ***

Mia has been sabotaging her brutal family's human trafficking business for a cool minute, and now it's time for her to get out of dodge, but it's not as easy as she would like it to be that's for sure. I LOVED the warrior that Mia was as she could definitely defend herself quite well. She knows who she needs to go to for help, and she managed to travel to Nico's family's hidden place that no one is supposed to know about except the family. Nico is considered the quiet one but still waters really run deep, and when Mia shows up asking him to marry her for protection, well, it got interesting to say the least. From the moment these two came face to face, the sparks were flying so I knew we were in for serious heat, and I was not disappointed. Of course this is set in the mafia world so the danger is all over the place providing many twists coming in hot as Mia's family isn't going to take her marriage lying down. I LOVED every minute of this story as Amy McKinley is brilliant & writes all the goodness which is right up my alley! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the 7th, and final (sob sob) book in this amazing series that I’ve loved from beginning to end. For me, this is an author who can do no wrong. I’m sure I’ve given 5 stars to every single book of hers that I’ve read, And I have read a lot of them. This is yet another 5 star cracker that I didn’t want to put down.
This is an enemies to lovers, mafia romance that has absolutely everything you want in a mafia romance story. Lots of drama, danger and intrigue added to hot romance, it has it all.
Nico and Mia are fantastic characters. Nico is underboss of one of the Chicago five families, whereas Mia is the daughter of one of the bosses of the New York families. Let’s just say there is no love lost between both factions.
I loved that we are introduced to new characters who will become the main characters in a new series set among the New York mafia families. I can’t wait for more mafia romance from this amazing author.

Mia has been a prisoner in her father's house since her mother died. Always women tutors. No social life. A New York Tucci mafia princess who is to be used as a pawn in order for her father to gain alliances and power. An arranged marriage. Now she is trying to find a way to take down her family and marry into a rival family for protection. Mia has decided to take charge of finding her own path that is right for her not what her father or the mafia expects of her.
Nico is safely tucked away on a Caribbean island to hack into the Verretti and Tucci accounts and their secrets. Mia Tucci has to be the key since her name keeps popping up.
Speaking of the devil. And who shows up pointing a gun at Nico, underboss of the La Rosa Mafia family, asking for marriage and protection so she can take down her family's empire?
You will be surprised when secrets are revealed and lies are exposed

This was a really good read! Not only was it romantic, but it was thrilling and action packed as well! This was a very fast paced read, and a shorter read so I was able to finish it fairly quickly. While I liked this book, I'm not sure how I feel on the whole about it being the finale in the Mafia Elite series. I know she says at the end that there will be spin-off series from these books that feature these characters but I just really feel like she left this series a little open ended. And maybe that's just me not wanting them to end! Either way this was a great book! It is a standalone, you DON'T have to read the previous books but it makes more sense if you do.

I'm sad to see this series end but also looking forward to what will come from Amy next. But I can say that Amy saved the best for last because Nico's story is just a chef's kiss, excellent. I loved his and Mia's story. I loved that it was Mia who propositioned him but you can't deny the attraction and chemistry between them. I couldn't put the book down. These two intrigued me so much I didn't want to miss out on anything and was way too curious to see what was going to happen next.

It was a game of cat and mouse, and I damn well would not be the mouse in the end.

She may be a mafia princess, but Mia Tucci is nothing but a pawn to be used for her family's advances. The New York mafia families are not peaceful, the Tucci family deals within the sex trafficking ring…but Mia wants to put a stop to this.

Going against her family is the uttermost betrayal…but given how they have treated her all of Mia’s life…where does her loyalty really belong?

I’d finally taken my life into my own hands and done what was right for me.

Just about managing to escape the bloodied clutches of her family, Mia is left with only one option and after everything she’s managed to gather over the years of sneaking into her father’s office, Mia knows that dealing with the Five Families of Chicago with the information that her family could be her way to destroy her family.

But, Mia needs protection now…the only way to do that?

Marriage and the male in question…Nico La Rosa…

“If you attempt to betray me at any point, I’ll withdraw my protection and turn the Five Families against you. You’ll wish for death long before you draw your last breath.”

Mia knows this is her only chance of survival and after years of studying Nico and now coming face to face with him-granted with her gun aimed at him…Mia can’t deny his sexual presents that he oozes.

Nico may seem like the quieter one of his brothers and within the family…but Mia knows that there is something growling deep inside of him and given the right push will be unleashed. Nico's family may welcome her into the fold…but she is an outsider, the enemy after all Mia could very well be playing her own game.

Mia must lay herself bare before she is ripped to shreds.

Loyalty, trust and love is everything to this family…and no one will break this bond.

The glitch in my decision was how attracted I was to her. And if we decided to lower our guards and explore the energy that swirled between us, I couldn’t help but wonder if she could be the one.

Mia & Nico…<3 Well, these two had an interesting first meet but then this is the Mafia Elite series after all!

Mia is a very strong, resourceful, broken and yet a loving character. She’s had the very typical mafia girl upbringing and suddenly finding out the depths of her family's dark deeds Mia knows she must put a stop to them. Then add in a forced older marriage, yeah Mia is climbing the walls of her prison and seeking help. I liked her character, Mia never backed down and fought for everything she wanted.

Nico, has been in the shadows a little so this was great seeing him come to life in this story and my my you're gonna love reading about him too! I love how they form this connection. It's almost a slow burn yet, still has that heat burning strongly and the care that Nico shows Mia even if he is trying to be on his guard around her.

This story really does grow, Mia is thrown into the family and I love scenes with the family as a whole or just separately. There is a lot of wholesome love and the undercurrent of deadliness that each of them show…the women are definitely lioness protecting their pride which I love about this series, how strong the women really are.

Of course, the family links are now growing, the mystery and threats will ever be present!

I knew one thing-I was hooked. I wanted more of this and more of him. And it was just the beginning.

This being the 7th book in the series I was very familiar with the writing style, characters and what to expect in this book and I was not disappointed at all. McKinley did a great job again of making me immediately like these characters. I'm not sure how anyone could read about Mia and not love and admire her. The first chapter was gripping and I was intrigued immediately. I have been very curious about Nico’s characters for several books now and seeing him get his happy ending felt very satisfying for me. Mia using him as a safety net to help protect her while she takes down her own family and the terrible things they have done was one the more interesting backstories i think from the series. It was equally tragic and angering to the point that you are just as upset as the characters and want to see an end to it and the people responsible. A complaint I have had with a few of the more recent books in this series is how fast they go and everything happens in just a few pages. These aren't exactly instalove stories but they kind of feel that way in the sense that after 2 days of being with Nico she is thinking she loves him claiming she knew him long before because she would sneak into her fathers files and read about him and look at pictures of him. I did find that a little corny but as always the strong sense of family and loyalty these books always have was present here as well and it is easily one of my favorite parts of these books in this series. I do wish we had more girl time with the whole group of ladies because I especially love the way the girls rally together, shop together, cry together but also will kick ass together. Most bad-ass women I've ever read about are in these books. There were a few twists that I should have expected but certainly did not and I enjoyed the turn of events towards the end and the way this all played out and was a happy ending was lovely. The perfect balance between steamy romance and violence. I would still recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys mafia romances. I think McKinley does them very well.

This is most definitely for those over the age of 18.

In this instalment of the Mafia Elite series, it is the turn of the quiet brother, he may not be one of the loudest in the family, but he is just as deadly as his other brothers, he is able to blend into the background, which is useful when he needs to glean information and he is extremely observant, because of this, he is underestimated, but not by Mia Tucci. Mia is a New York Mafia Princess who turns up in a place she shouldn’t after escaping from her own Mafia family, they only want her as a bargaining chip, but she wants more, she wants one of the Chicago Mafia brothers and she will do everything to get him and the safety she do desperately craves. So Mia offers a deal he cannot refuse, but first he needs some more information and calls his family to help, but as he waits, he considers her offer and what ramifications it could have on the Five Families.

When he and his brothers have explored all the angles to the offer, it is accepted, but only on the condition that she helps to take her family down, this is something Mia readily agrees to and so a bargain is struck, so Mia is whisked away to Chicago to meet the rest of the family and cement the deal, but she isn’t just wanting a business deal and so she tries to get to know this elusive brother. Mia’s attraction is mirrored, with violet eyes and midnight coloured hair, she is beautiful as well as dangerous, but as the two get to know each other their walls start to come down and it becomes harder to keep things on a slow path for the two.

Meanwhile, plans are being made to take down the Tucci family, but will the information she has to give them be worth it in the end and will the Five Families come out of this intact, or will the danger be too high and consequences to dire? This is another dark romance with a thrilling side as two dangerous individuals come together to create a pairing which could burn the world down, but only if they let it, as they play a dangerous game over two cities and a high body count.

Well I feel like a broken record, lol. I have said the same about the last 6 books in this series, I loved it. This is my favorite mafia romance series I have read. In Rivals, this is about Mia, one of the New York mob boss’ daughter. Mia grew up sheltered by her father, Joey, and abused by her step-brother Ricco. Her family is not a respected mafia family and she also come to learn about her family’s hand in a sex traffiking ring. Mia wants out and her freedom but her only way to do that is to escape. Mia needs to escape and find Nico La Rosa for protection through marrying him. Since they are technically not allies, Nico has a hard time trusting her when she shows up demanding this marriage. However, the benefits seem to outweigh the red flags. The two of them, after marriage, work to take down her old family. During this process, the two of them find out that they actually have come to care for each other, which completely surprises Nico since he never thought he would marry. Are the two of them able to take down the New York family and find the love Mia never thought she would have?
I have already said it, I loved this book in the series. Once again, the author always knows how to blend love, loyalty, protection, and strong characters into an amazing romance story. Mia is great. While she may have been sheltered, she still grew up in the mafia life and could kick some major ass. She is extremely cunning and a strong character. Nico, just like the rest of the Chicago family mafia men, is amazing. He is a calm present, but deadly. Nico is also low key caring, protective, but also a lover who values honesty and freedom. He never takes that freedom away from Mia, even when he is not trusting her fully. The two of them did not have much banter because of their circumstances, but the author progressed their story so well, the love just shown through the whole story. If you have not read any of these mafia books yet, you are missing out.

This entire series is full of intrigue, passion, violence, loyalty, love and family. Each book has shown a budding relationship between the men of the Five Families of the Chicago Mafia and their incredibly loyal relationships between each other. As the families have continued to grow, there is a quick rundown at the beginning about who is who, and who they belong to - I always appreciate those.

This book focuses on Mia Tucci, a New York mafia princess who holds no love or loyalty for her own family - as they never had any for her. She was a tool, a pawn - her entire life. Used to make men feel stronger. On the plus side, she was always well taught to protect herself and trust her instincts - as well as ignored in most instances, so she can witness the horrors her father and stepbrother have been committing. They run a sex traffficking ring and Mia has finally decided she has gathered enough information to take them down, assuming Nico accepts her offer.

Nico is the "last brother standing" in regards to meeting the love of his life, and he's ok with that. When he turns on the beach at their family safe house to find Mia Tucci pointing a gun in his face, he doesn't feel afraid for his safety so much as he feels interested in what she may have to say. When Mia lays out her plan, which includes marriage to Nico, he accepts the responsibility of protecting her but they have ground rules to set.

Together, they realize they are attracted to one another, drawn to one another, and care for one another. There is danger, romance, drama, violence, family and love from all fronts in this book of the series. There are also some darker topics, so trigger warning for those. I couldn't put ANY of the Mafia Elite series down and have reread them several times. Do yourself a favor and read these books!

Nico is content with his life within the Mafia and at peace with who he is. He is happy to be alone and not allow any woman to penetrate his heart or get close to him. Then along comes Mia, who has sought him out to enlist his help with her father, a well known and feared New York Mafia boss. She has known Nico for a long time and feels as though he is the only one she can trust and the one person who can help her. Mia asks Nico to marry her and offer her protection in exchange for information on the underground sex trafficking ring that her father and stepbrother are running. Mia wants to expose them and take down their operation. She also wants her father out of her life for good and will do anything to stop him. Nico is reluctant at first to help Mia, but he finds himself strangely attracted to this beautiful woman. He also feels the strange need to protect her from the horrible things she has had to endure at the hands of her father and stepbrother. Mia was reluctant to ask Nico for his help and unsure if she can trust him but is desperate for love and protection, things she no longer has since her mother passed away. Tired of being abused and used as a pawn in her father’s sick games she feels there is no other option.

Although Nico and Mia come together in one of the most unlikely of ways the attraction between them is undeniable. The author does a great job of unfolding the story of Nico and Mia as she builds up from that initial attraction they feel for one another and how that attraction builds into love. It seems Nico has finally found a woman who can penetrate the thick armour he has built up around his heart and Mia has finally found someone to love and protect her. As their story unfolds the reader is drawn into a world of crime, danger, suspense, action, and romance. A must read!

• {ᴏᴠᴇʀᴀʟʟ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs} Yes I love me some mafia books and I think this was the perfect read for anyone who is trying to get into mafia romance or a nice fast mafia romance book. I’ll definitely have to read the first books in the series!!! The plot also definitely had me hooked, a mafia bosses daughter wants revenge on her family so she goes to the one man she knows would be able to protect her, and while doing so they fall in love. I wish this book was longer because I did not want to say goodbye… Thank you so much to wild fire marketing solutions for accepting me for this arc!!
• {ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀs} In this book we are introduced to Nico & Mia. Nico even though silent was deadly and I absolutely loved how protective and caring he was over Mia even though their relationship wasn’t real in the beginning. He would literally kill for her, like where can I buy him ?! His connection with his family also made my heart warm, and the way he cared for them as well. Mess with his girl and you’ll be seeing the end of a gun. I really enjoyed his character heh. Mia went through so much pain with her “family” I wish I could give her a hug, but I’m so happy that meet a new family through Nico and got the happiness she deserved. But don’t mistaken her for being weak because she would also kill for what she wants, and would literally jump in front a bullet for her loved ones. She definitely loves hard. I really loved these two together and I’m sad that these series has come to an end but I can’t wait for the Verretti Family series!!!
• {sᴘɪᴄᴇ} I think this book had the perfect amount of spice, and Nico during it just made it 100x better, that man is just a different breed!!

Mia needs to escape before its too late, but the only problem is she needs protection, the only solution is one of the Five families and him. Nico is the only one who can help but how can she get him to agree to the scheme she has going on or will she be left to the wolves and disappear.

Nico is the quiet, dark and dangerous brother within the Five Families not looking to find a wife but when Mia crashes into his world everything changes, can he close his heart and believe its just business or will he fight to the death for her.

I have to say I have been waiting for this story to come along since the first couple of books I read in this series. Nico has always been the enigma in the background showing pockets of his life and history only wetting the appetite until now and oh my what a story.

This could be read as a stand alone but there are sections which and overall knowledge of the series would be helpful to link various characters and history but it is not essential but really this series is amazing so I would recommend all of the books to read. The character of Mia is brilliant, strong and resilient to be thrust into the world of the Five Families, with the first interaction of the two characters just as stormy as the skies around them just was a brilliant start to the book.

Getting to know Nico abit more was the guiding light for me as he is my favourite character in this series with his mystery and pure sex appeal, oh my!!! I loved although Mia is younger in age she is just as strong and spunky to match the ferrous character of Nico and does not take any crap from him at all, they are great together.

Although there are twists and turns and revelations within this story that are great, I can wait to read more from Amy in the future.

DAAAYYYUMMMMMM! What an ending! I have been a fan of this series since I picked up the first one. Each additional book only made me love these characters more. I wondered how to become a member of one of these families. I am still willing.

Nico is quiet and thoughtful. Most would overlook him as just another meathead enforcer, but he is so much more than that. He is a tech-wiz. He is loyal. He is brutal when needed. When the missing Mia Tucci points a gun at his chest and makes him an offer he wants to refuse, Nico becomes so much more.

Mia has been on the run for a while. She is trying to outrun a fate worse than death for her, marrying a man she despises to better her father’s standing. Most of her life her father had her studying the other families and Mia developed a crush on Nico, even stealing intel photos of him. Now, she sees Nico as her only option not only to escape her family and the awaiting fate but to help her correct some wrongs her family has committed. The only gamble in her entire plan is getting Nico to agree.

This chapter fantastically rounds out the series. And, nicely segues into the spinoff brother series. I love these characters, their fierce loyalty to their family and friends, the strong female badass characters, the devotion to their spouse, and the laughter they enjoy. I would join the Verretti family, too. I am already hooked and awaiting that series. Although I think you could add one more to this one by giving Tony a love interest. Think about it. Mostly, I just don’t want to say goodbye to these characters. I love them.

This last installment was magical and intense and ahhh-mazeeee-zing. Thank you, Amy!!!!

This has taken my favorite spot in the Mafia Elite Series! While you can read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the previous 6 books in the series. The story focus on Nico La Rosa & Mia Tucci.

It immediately sucks you in with an intense scene of Mia (daughter of the Mafia boss Joey, apart of the NY syndicate) being kidnapped by her own step brother, Ricco, and locked away in the rooms down under the Nightclub her family owns (that also holds women captive for sex trafficking). Nico La Rosa, the youngest of the La Rosa's, a member of the Chicago Italian Mafia and the Five Major Families, isn't looking for love, as he has very little emotional pull towards anyone that isn't his family, or his work (major hacker & computer whiz).

His life gets turned upside down when Mia finds him and proposes safety from her family in exchange for marriage and help in taking down the Tucci sex trafficking ring & the family line completely. While Nico is very cautious & weary of alternative motives, he has an intense pull and sensation to help her any way he can.

Will they end up being a loveless marriage, a business contract moreso than anything, or will they fall for each other harder than ether ever expected possible?

Taking down a Mafia family isn't easy, will they accomplish their goal? If so, at what cost?

Several twists & turns I definitely didn't see coming. Spice is present and moderate, but definitely enjoyable! I love reading from both of Mia & Nico's point of view!

Can't wait until the new series that will follow the lives of the newly introduced NY Mafia family, the Verretti's.

Amy McKinley has done it again! I know I say this with every book in this series, but this is the best one yet! I cannot believe this is the last one! As always, you can read this as a standalone; however, I would recommend reading the entire series, in order, as you will get the best understanding of the plot line and all of the characters. You will also understand all of the little nuances and seemingly "minor" details better if you read the prior books.
The heat between Mia and Nico is electric *wink, wink* from the first time they meet and only continues throughout their story. With Mia on the run from her horrible family, the only person who can protect her is Nico and the only way he can truly protect her is to marry her. So Mia risks it all and seeks him out, offering to take down her family if he'll change her last name. Can they trust each other enough to do this? Or will both of their pasts interfere and ruin everything? McKinley definitely saved the best for last with Mia and Nico's story. I absolutely love how they are both guarded but they bring that guard down for each other. I think their story is my favorite.
I love the way McKinley writes her characters, especially her female characters. They are completely capable of standing up for themselves and getting themselves out of precarious situations. They also stand with the guys during the tough times and are forces to be reckoned with. They are badasses. This has been an amazing series! It's a definite must-read!

Growing up in a mafia family Mia knows her worth to her father. Fearing the outcome of her father’s plans, Mia plans to leave. Before she can her step-brother drugs her and takes her with plans to use her for his own gain. Mia escapes and heads to the one person she knows can offer her the protection she needs, at least, as long as he doesn’t kill her. Nico La Rosa is not expecting Mia or her demand of marriage. Since Nico did not expect to marry, after deciding the information that will be provided outweighs than potential negatives of the arrangement, he agreed. As the two work together toward a common goal, they will run into obstacles, discover old secrets that explain much, and grow to like each other. Will Nico and Mia succeed in ruining her family’s trafficking ring? Will Nico really be enough to protect Mia in the end? Will Nico and Mia find love in there arranged marriage after all?

This is only the second book by Amy McKinley I have read, but I will definitely be reading more of her work. I loved that the female lead was strong on her own, she had a mind of her own and stood her ground. While this book is the 7th in the series, it can easily be read as a stand alone without much confusion. There are definite advantages to reading the series in order though, it provides more information on how the families interact, how things have come to be as they are, as well as gives more depth to many of the characters.

I would recommend reading this story, in fact, the whole series.

A truly bittersweet moment has been had. I have had the pleasure of reading this series from the beginning to what is now the end. The story of the Five Families, aka The Chicago Mafia, has now been told in such a manner that you feel like you are leaving close friends. The main characters in ‘Rivals’ are Nico La Rosa and Mia Tucci. Unfortunately, I cannot share a whole lot with you because it just gives away too much. The author grabs you right from the start. Each book basically picks up where the last one left off. In this book, we also get to visit with everyone except Max and Luc (and their wives) as they were in Italy. Everyone else played a pivotal role in helping Nico and Mia take down the New York Tucci and Amata family. There are moments that will live in your mind such as Mia meeting the other wives and she’s told that they will love her, but they will have no qualms at killing her either. My favorite are the quiet moments between her and Nico. They are tender and romantic in a chaotic environment. The plot just stays right on task with a twist thrown in here and there, and it just comes right back. This author is extraordinarily talented and her writing is also. Her female characters are strong and courageous. This series is one that I recommend to all my friends that love romantic suspense and Mafia. Hot, steamy and fantastic! It would get more than 5 stars if I could give them.

I cannot stress enough about how much I love this series and I love this author. Amy Mckinley is the best at these mafia romances with a hard edge. Each book is packed with action from the very first page to the very last page.

In the mafia, females only have one purpose: to bring more power to the mails through alliances between families. Mia has discovered that she is just some pawn in a game that she has no decision in, at least until she decides she wants to play on her own terms. Mia seeks out the one person, often underestimated, that can protect her from her father and that is Nico. First she has to make him an offer he can’t refuse and secondly she has to put her trust in someone she only knows on paper. Can Nico learn to trust Mia or is it all too sweet of a tale to believe? As the threads unravel the truth is slowly revealed along with a little help from a ghost from her past.

This is one romance series I am sorry to see end. I have read every single book in this series and I cannot get enough of these hunky mafia men and the ladies that bring them to their knees. I laughed, I cried, and I even yelled at one point when someone was being dumb in the book. I cannot wait to read what Ms. McKinley has next on her agenda as I am sure it will be as fabulous as this series has been. Definitely take these books for a spin regardless of whether it is outside your typical genre. These books do not disappoint and each one is more thrilling than the next!

I have been reading this book series since the first one, and this author does such an amazing job in all the books and the characters that they bring to life. This book installment has quickly become my favorite, as always I am very captivated, and wanting more, this book and series is impossible not to love!

First off I must say-this was a bitter sweet read, knowing this is my final read in the series as it has concluded. I could not have asked for a better send off! This book gave all the things I love, mystery, suspense, romance, those momenta that make you sweat from heat with words on the pages, I really found Nico and Mia were wonderful characters. Different but easy to love as a reader. They brought a lot to the story, and I loved the build up in this book! There was a lot of action and suspense, and the author certainly knows how to end the series with a bang! I also loved, that how it ends it seems to have left an opening for more books on a different family! Cant wait! Loved this book and series with all my heart!

Thank you to this wonderful author for the 7 books in this series that has given me sheer enjoyment over the past months of reading. This is the final book, can be read as a standalone, but to truly feel the characters and the stories, I highly suggest the whole series! Must read and high recommendation!

Amy McKinley has quickly become one of my favorite authors and her Mafia Elite series has also became one of my favorite series. She’s back again with the 7th book in the series. This is a standalone but I recommend reading the other 6 books so you can understand everything better. I was not able to put this book down. It had me hooked from the very first page of the book to the last page. The characters were wonderfully written and I loved the feeling the author had set for this book.
I can’t wait to see what else she has in store in the coming future for her books

I cannot get enough of this series!!! This book of Nico and Mia is fantastic fantastic fantastic!! I recommend reading this series in order as the "families" continue to be part of each book each character continues to evolve.

Mia...wow....she is tough as nails but what she endured...my heart truly broke in a million pieces between her father using her as a pawn and her step brother Ricco, whom I totally despised. When enough was enough, is bravely flees away from her family. Mia know how bad it is, especially her step brother Ricco. Mia has a purpose...take down her own family.

Nico is quiet, loyal and fierce. He will do everything to protect the "families" no matter what. When Mia seeks NIco out with a proposal....this is where it gets interesting. Mia wants protection from none other than NIco...but what is the cost? Family secrets, bartering..will Nico break down his own walls and protect Mia and help her?

This series of books is just fantastic and I cannot get enough. The characters, story line..all of it really grabbed me from beginning to end. I truly enjoyed Nico and Mia's story that really captured me from page 1......intrigue, deceit, trust but the spark and sizzle that goes along with Nico and Mia was perfect!

Another wonderful series comes to an end. I have to tell you, I have been so in love with the Five Families throughout these novels, and how close they all are, or how close they have all become to one another. Promising protection, love, and acceptance no matter the consequences. It also opens ones eyes to the differences of folks, regardless of the fact they were all part of the same organization (so to speak.) I have been waiting with baited breath for Nico's story, and I'm so very glad that it was the finale of the series, as it was one of the best. This author truly knows her way around a pen and a piece of paper.

Mia is in need of someone loyal, encouraging, and who offers protection when others have never done so for her in her life, at least since her Mother passed, and she feels comfortable with Nico long before even meeting him. The want to protect women from an awful end, and getting the help needed from those that we've grown to love and for me, obsessed with, is endearing and I'm so glad that this series ended on the page it did. I very much look forward to any and all spin off series, and anything else released by this author. Amazing, a must read novel and series for sure!

Rivals is the seventh book in the Mafia Elite series, which tells the story of the five mafia families based in Chicago. It's an addictive series, full of romance and action but also family, friendship and warmth.

Rivals focuses on Nico, who New York mafia princess Mia identifies as her best hope at escaping from the plans her father and step brother have for her. Mia gets Nico's protection, and that of his family, while Nico gets information that could enable him to bring down her family's human trafficking operation.

There are plenty of secrets and twists and turns along the way, some quite unexpected! Mia has much to learn about her past and family, whilst also being used to the very different dynamic of her new family.

I'd recommend reading the books in order - each focuses on a different couple but the stories lead into one another and characters develop as you go along. And where some of the books bring in a character who is new to the mafia so you can learn some of the background from their perspective, Mia already knows or at least knows of most of the main characters and their stories.

This is a five star read for me! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and can't wait to read more from this author.

Having read the first five installments in this series i’ve been looking so forward to more! As soon as this book was announced it caught my eye right away and i knew i had to read it next. I picked it up and got right back into the Mafia Elite world. I so enjoyed this seventh book!

Mia and Nico’s journey captured my attention from the get go! As Mia seeks out Nico and their worlds collide in a memorable fashion, i couldn’t wait to see how everything would play out!

I really liked how the ball got rolling fast and how this story had my heart racing. Mia was such an awesome character and i admired her determination. Nico had me falling for him. I enjoyed the chemistry between these two! These two and their story most definitely kept me on the edge of my seat.

It was great getting back into the Mafia Elite world!

With Rivals, Ms.McKinley has created such a good read that’ll keep you glued to your kindle! I will most definitely be going back and reading the previous installment that i missed. Be sure to check this series out! I can’t wait for more from this author!

*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*

Where do I even begin? This author has amazing talent! She gets you hooked from the very first book in the Mafia Elite series and keeps you wanting more!! As each book has come out in this series each storyline gets better and better. I can’t wait to read what is next to come!
In this book, we dive into Nico’s story. He is quiet, calculated, and never thought he could settle down like the rest of his Mafia family. When Mia Tucci tracks him down on an island only his family knows he's at and holds a gun to his chest, it makes him very intrigued as to what she wants. She was the enemy but as they say, keep your friends close and your enemies even closer. Mia is in trouble with her evil father and stepbrother. Will Nico, the Five Families, and the Chicago Mafia help Mia end the rein of her sadistic, pour evil family all while putting a stop to the sex trafficking business that harmed one of the Chicago Mafia members?
This book is amazing and I loved how action-packed the storyline was. It also made me sad because it was the closing book to the Mafia Elite series. BUT now we still get to learn about the NY division of the Mafia!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!
