I enjoy the boys/podcast greatly, so it pains me to have to leave yet another less than stellar review of their work (*see review of vol:1). As I mentioned in the first review 5stars for the podcast, and same for their book and comic series. I've even once again put their newest upcoming comic on my pull list. But these graphic novels are simply sad little cash grabs. Actually I'm going to switch from 2 to 3 stars right now and then continue this review. Done. I felt since it wasn't the satanic bible thumping rhetoric the first volume was that it deserves a one up because I'm as sick of them pushing that narrative as I was of the literal soap box preacher that screamed at us on campus about going to hell. If it's not a specifically religious and or political podcast/book/gn/comic then kindly please shut the fuck up about anything other than the subject matter. Ben by the way is particularly entertaining to watch in political talks so please look him up and check out his videos and such if you haven't already. I'm still of the mind though to read this for the detective popcorn story mainly but after the first gn and trading it back in for store credit I'll never buy another of this series again. I'll read them for free at Barnes and Noble for Detective Popcorn 🍿. Please start a comic for that character 🤞. The first storyline of both books is fun because it's the boys themselves but the actual story content fails to excel. It could definitely be good if more effort were put into it. Yet another mothman pinup. The cryptid centerfold concept is great but you could have least used another one this book , well hopefully the next book anyway. The ads fell off too. There's even one for the lpotl in there. At this point it feels like grab the money and run 💔. Don't do us like that boys. Many of us have been following from day well, week 5 or so 🤷. I even bought that truly terrible coffee you pushed. Soul plumber was excellent so I know you have it in you.

I love the art « ads » in between the stories. As for the stories themselves, my favourite was the James Tynion IV one 🤓
