Talia is keeping a secret from Galen and the pack, and it is driving a wedge between them.

Since the attack by the demon, Talia's eyes turn red every time she shifts. She doesn't know what's happening to her, but it can't be anything good. Her demon-like eyes are impossible to hide, so the only solution is to not shift in front of others until she can figure out how to fix it.

But Galen and Talia have been summoned to a Shifter Council conference in an effort to curb the growing demon threat. And to declare her allegiance to the cause, she must shift in front of everyone. That's only the start of her latest batch of problems. The man who rejected her is also at the conference, and Maddox intends to claim back his property.

The Shifter Rejected series continues with the fourth book, Wolf of Thorns. Trouble keeps coming for Talia and Galin and it seems like it's not stopping anytime soon.

Talia has been through a lot and has come a long way since she's been with Galen's pack. She has gotten stronger, is more confident, and has some intelligence to back it up but she is frustrating the heck out of me by not admitting her problems to Galen. I understand her not wanting to add to his plate but the stress of the secret is taking its toll.

Galen is trying his best to get Talia to admit what's wrong but she refuses which is in turn causing Galen to question some things. However, he still cares for Talia and admits he's better with her. Somehow, through everything, they manage to still take their relationship to the next level but things can only go so far when Talia is keeping secrets away. I will admit, they are good for each other and I would hate for them to go through some unnecessary pain.

This is book four and I hate to say it but I feel at this point the story is sort of dragging out. That being said I still liked the story. I love Galen's dad, Max is one of my favorites as well as Galen's beta, Theo, whose personality really came out in this book. With this book, I got a better understanding of the shifter governing party, and I find it weird. Seems to me they basically do nothing and even when they don't agree with a law, they aren't willing to change anything and they don't really get involved in too much so what's the point of them? During the alpha summit, of course, Maddox and his father are there causing problems but a pair of interesting wolves from another pack makes an appearance and some interesting facts are revealed.

Wolf of Thorns was a quick read with an ending that has renewed my interest, overall 3.5 stars. Talk about a plot twist. There are only two more books in the series, and a whole lot of things have to be wrapped up. I'm hoping some things get resolved in the next book, Wolf of Bones.

The Shifter Rejected Series: Books 4 - 6
By Amelia Shaw

Wolf of Thorns
Series: The Wolf Shifter Rejected Series, Book 4
by Amelia Shaw

--- Spoilers--

In this book book four of the series, she finds her self changed and her (Talia) blue eye's turn different. After the changed she try's to hide it and keep it from the long claw pack alpha.
They attend an Alpha pack summit. Things are horrible, with the north pack, her old pack with trying to claim her. She is left shamed and marked by maddox. Well finally being claimed by Galein. They meet alley's that inform her of her possible heritiage, then find out Max died well away from the long claw clan. They go home and that is how the book ends.

This author has constructed a well plotted, storyline with detail personailties of each character. It has plots and sub-plots. There were questions, I had prior to this book.. That are answered, but not fleshed out..but the answsers I worked out, were on par with the story. Since she defeated an alpha, I assumed red eye's equals Alpha..(as in teen wolf) but it seems the royality of a wolf line has red eye's and Orange is a Alpha, but it would seem like there is more to that.

Questions:- I still have is what is Darius up to, and why does he act like he knows it all, or at least when he's interfering with Talia.
If she is claimed by a demon, how can Maddox claim her as property? If she is royality then is the Northclan pack her kiddnappers originally, and since she never knew her mother, could all that be a lie?

CLASIFICATION: 3.0 ESTRELLAS

Thoughts and feelings:

🍁Wow. Of course, the last chapter would throw two pumps and leave us with a cliffhanger!

🍁This book was annoying for the most part. The heroine gets red eyes whenever she shifts to her werewolf form after the Demon mark and hides that from the hero. She doesn't even tell him at the end of the book because she assumes that would end whatever the two shared. Her attitude bugged me because if it weren't for her lies, the two wouldn't have gone through all of that. Her irrational, selfish attitude made everyone go through many things. And you know how that is concluded? Her eyes' colour was b3cause she's born as the werewolf demon lost princess !!! Which ...of course that's the case!

🍁I need a break from this 😫

audiobook version Al
just pure horrible awful. Remind me of school when you first learned how to read and you got the emphasis all wrong, creepy, monotone , off the rails , irritating , boring and nerve racking,so very bad I can not stand listening. Those author now, want to be cheap and not invest money and what you get is crap. She has several of her books on YT. I started almost all of them and gave up.
So I will not even think about buying it.
I find it a damn shame for this way I will never know if the stories are worth it or not.

Better than the last one. More typos. Gailen's dead ex Jessie was written as Jamie 3 times. 🙄 Idk how the hell her name was forgotten. Even though these mistakes are huge and getting irritating, I still want to find out what happens next.

Good Good Good!!!

I can’t wait to start the next story. It’s been so good so far. I am loving these stories. I guessed who it was, but I usually don’t give anything away because it’s not fair. I don’t read anyone’s reviews before I read the books first. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

The story started out well, but I stopped listening to the audiobook at book 4. In the whole story, very little has changed and it became monotonous and boring. I have no idea how this series ends because I really didn't want to listen any further. Too bad because the storyline started out well

I will not be continuing this series. Author constantly repeats herself.

Spoiler alert: it is not really believable how the alpha keeps holding on, though continually getting worse through every book... and not paying attention to Darius who joined the pack at a critical time...

Geen topboek. Erg kort en veel spelfouten. Maar prima boek om te lezen als je niet te veel wil nadenken.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Secrets and strained trust define this installment as Talia hides her shifting transformation from Galen. The Shifter Council conference is a great backdrop for tension, and the reappearance of Maddox adds drama and unresolved emotion. Talia’s internal conflict is compelling, but the plot sometimes leans too heavily on miscommunication. Still, the world is expanding in satisfying ways.

I love the story but these books are way too short. They could have been combined for a duology.
