I'm a bit torn.

(+) Great variety in the species featured with many photos of species taken in their native locales.

(+) Each chapter intro had a pretty nice overview of the upcoming species. There were many interesting facts in each one.

(+) Helpful to have species lengths listed in centimeters

(+) Helpful to have it pointed out if a species was only found in a more specific area, e.g. "mostly western Pacific"

(-) Not sure if it was just my copy, but the printing is off on quite a number of pages. I realized the images weren't blurry, rather the CMYK printer jets were misaligned and caused the color split effect. Not very helpful for identifying species.

(-) The editing could have used a bit of polish, as there were grammatical and spelling errors. It made me wonder if there were errors hiding in the info that was new to me, like scientific names.
