The Red-Haired Giants of Lovelock Cave & Other Ancient Mysteries

Rate this book
Nevada's Paiutes spoke of a race of statuesque red-headed cannibals who attacked and ate members of the surrounding tribes. Eventually, the Paiutes destroyed them in Lovelock Cave. In 1911, miners discovered the remains of giant red-headed mummies and thousands of artifacts. The artifacts were excavated and disbursed to several museums, but the mummies disappeared from public view. What happened to the giant mummies, and why were they hidden from the public? Floyd Wills's investigation into Lovelock Cave's mystery reveals compelling evidence that the red-haired giants' Paiute tales were true. Mr. Wills supports his belief with newspaper articles, Native American accounts of giants, eyewitness testimony, photographs of skeletal remains, and artifacts found in and around Lovelock Cave. Other strange historical topics covered the Nazca Mummies, the Flores Hobbits of Indonesia, the Biblical Giants or The Nephilim, the Elongated Skull People of Paracas Peru, the Ica Stones, and the Acambaro Dinosaur Figurines.

My fascination of ancient mysteries began in early childhood. As a young boy, I remember sitting in front of the television for hours watching the program "In Search of." I was intrigued by the mysteries history could not so easily explain away. How was the great pyramid constructed? Did Atlantis actually exist? Did our ancient ancestors interact with extraterrestrial beings?

When I was in high school, a friend gave me a copy of Erich von Däniken's book, "Chariots of the Gods." Von Daniken's book opened my eyes to the intriguing possibility that ETs have interacted with humankind for thousands, or perhaps even millions of years. My interest in ancient mysteries led me to discover the works of Zecharia Sitchin and his research into the Anunnaki , a group of deities worshipped by the ancient Sumerians, Akkadians, Assyrians, and Babylonians. Sitchin believed these "Gods" were not mythological in nature, they were extraterrestrial beings.

Through a chance meeting, I became friends with a gentleman who was a Ufologist and Biblical archaeologist. My friend took me to several archaeological sites in Mexico and shared with me his research into the Biblical "Nephilim." Intrigued by my friend's research, I delved into the history of the Nephilim, which led me to the Book of Enoch, a book that was omitted from the Bible. After studying this ancient text, the Book of Enoch explained the whole back story of the Nephilim mentioned in Genesis chapter 6. During my research, I came across a presentation on giant skeleton discoveries in North America presented by Jim Vieira. I was amazed at all the documented accounts of giant skeleton finds Vieira presented, many of which were newspaper articles.

Inspired by Vieira's fascinating presentation, I began searching through old newspaper archives going back to the early 1900s of giant skeleton discoveries. My "giant" file quickly grew large. As I read through these articles I noticed a common theme; after the discovery of the giant skeletons, the authorities were called in, and the skeletons were confiscated and were never seen again. I noticed there were very few newspaper articles that had photographs of the giant bones. However, I came across some information on the discovery of "Red Haired Giants" in Lovelock Cave in Nevada in 1911. This discovery peaked my interest because some of the skulls of the Red Haired Giants supposedly ended up in the basement of a museum in Winnemucca, Nevada. It was during my investigation into the Lovelock Cave mystery that I uncovered photographs of the giant skulls, eye witness accounts, and a rich oral history of the Paiute tribe concerning the Red Haired Giants existence. With the completion of my first book, "The Red-Haired Giants of Lovelock Cave and other Ancient Mysteries," I realize there are many more ancient mysteries to be explored.

I have a B.S. degree in human development, and hold certifications in hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic psychology. My investigations into sacred sites and out of place artifacts have led me across the globe. I currently live in Washington state.

As a lover of the paranormal, I would highly recommend this book to anyone else that is fascinated by the unknown. I have spent many hours reading and watching documentaries on the unexplained, but the tales in this book are all stories that I have never heard before.

Floyd spent years researching and traveling the world to put out information on the many mysteries in this book. I love his perspective on how we should always be challenging our existing beliefs. Is history as we know it always true? Or do we blindly accept what society tells us to?

This book is a fresh perspective and is very well written and organized. Give it a read!

This is an intriguing book that I would suggest to anyone interested in giants, little people, space aliens, and archaeology. "The Red-Haired Giants of Lovelock Cave" is mostly discussed in the first quarter of the book, and then the author loosely connects those giants with biblical references to giants, aliens, other reports of giants, unusual head shapes, little people, and some advanced societies in earth's history. The book kept my attention the entire time, it is an easy read, and there are several exhibits throughout the book for reference. Unfortunately, several of the exhibits in my copy of the book were illegible, and there were several minor typos. However, neither the typos or illegible exhibits takeaway from the content of the book.

The author has been on several podcasts, so any potential readers who would like a small taste prior to reading the book can listen to one of the podcasts. The author is clearly educated, observant, intelligent, well traveled, and open minded. I would suggest to anyone reading the book that they stay open minded, as several conspiracy theories are considered, and some of the author's connections could be seen as outlandish. Since the author is an avid explorer and interested in the paranormal, I would challenge him to explore the Lukachukai and Chuska Mountains on the Navajo Nation, where there are constant Gigantopithecus sightings. Overall, it was a fun read, and is a good starter book for anyone interested in human giants, little people, archaeology, and space aliens.
