Read as though written by a child. “What a busy morning at Starlight Stables! Princess Evie had been busy…” I know it’s a picture book but some variation in vocabulary would be good. The animal pictures are cute.

Is it wrong to want to read a book simply because of the beautiful shiny pony and the adorable orange kitty on the cover art!? ;-p I'm sure the story itself is pretty lame but, oh, how I love that cover!
