It's time for the Nantucket Jubilee— an iconic celebration that calls back the most secretive of the Copperfield children, Ella.
Twenty-five years ago, Quentin, Julia, and Alana fled The Copperfield House, leaving Greta and Ella alone— feeling completely abandoned.
But it wasn’t the first time.
Abandonment, as it turns out, has been the theme of Ella’s life. And she doesn’t even know it, yet.
After graduation from Nantucket High, Ella ran off to New York City and joined an indie rock band. There, she met the heartbreakingly handsome guitarist, Will Ashton.
It didn’t surprise her that she fell head-over-heels for Will, but what did surprise her was all the rest: that their love and their rock band flourished. That soon, they were named one of the “top indie bands to watch out for.” And later, that she and Will had two perfect children, Laura and Danny.
It’s been over twenty-five years since her father was sent to prison. Recently, her sisters, Julia, and Alana have returned to The Copperfield House to mend the pieces of their broken family.
On top of it all, Julia and Alana are now almost certain that Bernard isn’t to blame for the crimes he served time for.
What does Ella think about that?
She doesn’t have time to think about it. Her band is on the verge of breaking up; her children are teenagers; and she’s holding down two jobs to make ends meet.
On top of it all, her and Will’s on-again, off-again relationship is almost certainly “off” for good.
She's heartbroken. She needs help. She needs the kind of love that The Copperfield House provides.
But through the mess of self-discovery at The Copperfield House— Ella is about to learn of long-held family truths that both destroy her and make her understand herself for the very first time.
It is time to live again.
And maybe, just maybe, it's time to return to The Copperfield House for good.

Another great installment in the Copperfield family series! This time featuring the youngest daughter, Ella, and her rediscovery of what home means after leaving home at 18. Heartwarming and proof that the truth eventually comes out, with justice being served!! 8 out of 10.
These books were wonderful! The power of love, family, friendship and forgiveness as the main themes. The mystery of what happened 25 years before added to this powerful story.
I love this series focusing on The Copperfield Clan - their sorrows and triumphs. This third book centers on the youngest child, Ella. This story also delves more deeply into the patriarch of the family, Bernard. Each of the Copperfield children has an interesting story and Ella's doesn't disappoint. Katie Winters has such a great imagination and I love her originality in the plots and characters.
I LOVED this book. Ella needed a whole book for her story and this was a doozy. Her history with Will was explained and that with her kids but it’s really the idea of finding oneself and realizing what in life is important. The back story of Bernard Copperfield and his story and guilt vs innocence was also so great. I basically read the 2nd half of this book in 1 night bc I couldn’t put it down.
I still have so many questions. How did Benard possibly get found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt without a paper trail?? No bank statements?! No one questioned why Marcia Conrad suddenly had millions of dollars BEFORE Bernard spent 25 years in prison?!?!?!and why didn't he have to pay it back? Wouldn't they see the money is not anywhere to be found as far as Bernard is concerned? It's so hard to suspend belief with this ridiculous story. Writing is decent, and obviously, I'm invested now, so I have to see how it ends.
Also, there are a lot of typos in this book... one typo put the wrong character in a scene, making it very confusing. (The part where Ella's and Alana are on the porch and the 3 sisters are about to go to lunch, it mentions Laura instead of Ella's. Laura was away at college while this scene was happening..)
I love this series BUT, I would love it more if the author would learn when to use "I" and when to use "me". It grates on my nerves each time she uses "I", just a personal thing I guess. "Bill and I are going to the fair" is correct use of "I". "Would you like to go with Bill and ME" -- correct usage of "me". Hint: before always using "I" try the sentence out by leaving out the "Bill and" and ask yourself if you would ask "would you like to go with I? or would you like to go with me?
Sorry, but the incorrect use of "I" by almost everyone in the country really upsets me to the point that even a well written and interesting book becomes a burden. If you can get past the grammatical error then you will completely enjoy this book as well as the entire series.
It is hard for me to put into words how much I've enjoyed reading the first 3 books in this series by Katie Winters and how much I look forward to reading more about this family. Ms. Winters captures all the feelings & situations that families go through and how they can manage to come out on the other side when they work through them. Please do yourself a favor and pick up first book. By the time you finish, you'll realize how much you want to keep reading about family that she has made so real & relatable.
I am flummoxed by all of the five star reviews for this series. Yes, I read all three but only because the controversy that runs throughout all of them is not resolved until the last book. Otherwise, I would have stopped at the first one. The author uses odd words at times and her editors should have done a better job. Here is an example: "Stephanie was just as gorgeous, with a little bit of comfortable fluff around the waist that suggested she had children." Maybe it's just me, but that is just wrong!
This gripping novel masterfully weaves a compelling narrative of redemption, unraveling a complex mystery that ultimately exonerates a wrongly accused father. The intricate plot is punctuated by unexpected developments and thrilling plot twists that keep readers eagerly turning pages. With its rich storytelling and satisfying resolution, the book sets the stage for an enthralling continuation of the family's saga, leaving readers eager to explore the next installment.
How would everyone handle it now they were all home in Nantucket? It had been so long, and it was so strange. Their Dad was home from prison and the girls were so sure he was innocent. Could they prove it? Would their Mother and Father be able to find the love for each other they once had? Read the next episode of life on Nantucket.
This author creates very readable family sagas with drama, conflict, reconciliation, love, support and warm hearts at the bottom of it all. She has long running series, which is great to really get to know the characters and see them develop. I really like the multi-generational plots with strong characters in each age group. She is a clean, easy read and I need that right now!
A delightful book that fills my heart with wonderment and love. As I got reacquainted with the Copperfield Family and lived through their heartache, struggles, and pain and feeling their love and support through it all! Forgiveness, love, and hope bring happiness, success, and a great book to read!
Loved this story, especially that their Dad was vindicated. So truly good love stories are filled with angst, heartbreak and mostly happy ever after, otherwise what would we look forward to!!
This 3 book series of Author Katie Winters is wonderful. It is inspiring, heartfelt and addicting. The characters, history, turmoil and love that transpires through these books was very hard to put down. Enjoy! Good Read!
We continue to follow the Copperfield family. Bernard arrive home from prison he and his daughter wife a book but the story is about Ella and her story. Read this book to find out what happens
I am a bit disappointed in these books, they could have been written as 1 novel, especially the first 4. I guess she makes more cash putting them out one at a time. But it was unneccessary as far as I am concerned.
I love this series. It is full of adventurous characters who have been a fractured family for 25 years. It is about learning to reunite with our loved ones and about learning to trust. It holds good lessons. Definitely recommend it!
Great follow up to Ella’s story and the saga of Bernard. Good to see the family working together to right the wrong. Another surprise for Ella. Page turner.
