Upon research of this company, It’s clear that Alabaster Co has an affiliate program and that most reviews are from women who received a free copy. I highly doubt any of them actually read the study in its entirety.

This Bible study was given to me as a gift. The book itself if great quality and very beautifully done, however the study was politically motivated and had little depth to it. I read volume one in its entirety so that i could give it an honest review, i took away a few nuggets of wisdom but overall it left me feeling more discouraged than encouraged.

I read with discernment and felt like some of the commentary was biblically inaccurate. An agenda was definitely being pushed, which is absolutely not what a Bible study should be about. At the beginning of volume 2, the writers kept using the term “myth” as they described the story of Adam and Eve. Red flags were thrown to me on and off throughout volume one, but this descriptor made me realize this study needs to go in the trash.

The Bible is the word of God…it does not need a hidden agenda.

I caution anyone who looks into this study.

This is the best Bible study I’ve ever read!! It has the most beautiful art on each page and simplifies all the characters and stories so well! Only 2 or 3 stories didn’t really make sense but I loved learning more about the women in the Bible!
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to start more simple. Even better plus if you love art!!

Alabaster Co has once again done it! I am consistently impressed with their collaboration of art and truth. In this bible study, stories from the Bible are told and then applied to today’s modern world. It is such a helpful tool for readers, and allows them to think more deeply about how some stories may show them the goodness of God in their own life. Beautiful Art and Outstanding Photography
This interactive devotional book will take you through 30 chapters of Bible characters and stories, each with a specific theme. I loved how the book was people-focused, giving it a very personal feel. Using a read and reflect structure for study, this method feels surprisingly fresh with Alabaster.

The book provides everything you need for a full study, including synopses, outlines, and written content. What makes this book unique is Alabaster’s inclusion of beautiful art elements, prompting you to reflect on the stories. Alongside Alabaster’s outstanding photography, this book is a work of art.

Real People, Real God
While my devotional life can sometimes seem routine and clinical, this study breathed new life into my quiet times. The art elements brought emotion to the Word. And I loved learning about lesser-known Bible characters, including Hagar and Hannah. In fact, the focus on women was quite refreshing.

Questions and prayers are included with each chapter, making this book perfect for personal study or community discussion. Have you ever felt lost while reading the Bible? I most certainly have and sometimes I wonder if I’m receiving the most from what I’ve read. The Good and Beautiful Study Bible from Alabaster, truly helps me with that problem. It stuck out to me for 3 different reasons.

1.) The imagery is so captivating and beautiful, just like the name literally describes! I looked forward to seeing each new photo because who doesn’t like pretty things?

2.) The Bible stories each have a specific theme/perspective to offer! Me pairing that with the full Bible stories allows the messages and themes to resonate with me deeper!

3.) I literally love how the corresponding Book, Chapter, and Verse are listed for each story. Even more so that the “Key Moment” within the stories is listed. Also the reflection after each chapter helps guide me through my thoughts and prayers!

The Good and Beautiful Study Bible is worth every minute you’ll spend with it. I also should mention that I’m sharing it with my husband and children (10,7,4) and I’ve had great ideas for implementing it into our lifestyle. The kids have their bibles to read the full stories on their levels as me and Dad read over the Study Bible. and as a homeschooling family a great activity for each age is to recreate the artwork shown in the Bible!

Reading this book has been challenging and exciting! I was given a complimentary copy of the book through the Alabaster's Influencer Program. I feel extremely grateful for the opportunity to have explored it. I was able to connect deeply with the Story of the Canaanite Woman. In my own life, I was able to relate, in some ways to her, because I have had situations where I felt silenced and moments where I was scared to speak up. This chapter helped me see that I am not the only one that has endured this situation. She stood up for what she believed in, even when it was scary or there would be judgement or anger or disagreement towards her reaction. This allowed her to have an opportunity partner with God.

Even in the deepest moments, we all are given that chance to be with Him. To give ourselves to Him. To trust in Him.

Such a special moment to even read and have time to reflect.

I truly recommend this book and am excited for others to experience something incredible for themselves. May it draw you closer to God.

I loved getting the opportunity to read this book!! I was given a complimentary copy through the Alabaster Influencer Program and could never have expected such a quality Bible study that really pushed me to be still and focus on my time with Jesus. I think it is so hard to find time in our busy world to simply sit, be still, and enjoy being in the presence of God. This book helped me do just that and gave clear prompts to really guide me through the book and get the best out of each Bible Study. I am a huge fan of Alabaster Company now! I am a visual person who has always struggles to stay engaged with the reading of Scripture. My mind wanders off the pages often! But this Bible study is thoughtfully and beautifully designed. The chapters highlight sections of scripture, while including a narrative-style reading portion that for me, helps so so much in understanding Scripture. There are even stories I've never heard of or understood! I also love the prompts—they have a prayer prompt and a reflection moment guiding you to observe the art and pause. Gahhh I just can't say enough good about it. If you've been struggling to fall in love with scripture, or just need a refreshed way to view the word of God, this is it. I absolutely adore this alabaster Bible!

Often times the Bible can seem extremely intimidating and overall overwhelming, especially for new believers. Alabaster Bibles saw this and made a way to better comprehend the Bible and connect with God by breaking it down. As someone who has been a Christian for a few years, I can state with confidence that this Alabaster Bible has really aided with my meditation on specific passages of scripture. Through this book, connecting with God and His Word have become easier. All in all, Alabaster Bibles are a great option to help you deepen your faith, regardless of how long you've been a Christian.

A Study Guide that Compliments the Bible!

I love everything about this guide. It truly is the perfect companion with your daily devotionals in the Bible. I love the theme that coincide with each Biblical character and my favorite part is the Reflection pages where it allows us to pause, ponder, and pray after every section. This guide is not only beautifully designed but every page is intricately well thought of.

the pictures in this study bring poetic clarity to the stories in the bible. i love the way the photos give you different perspectives!

also, the whole study dives deep into stories and characteristics about people in the bible. i enjoyed reading through this!

This Bible study is not like all the others, I’ve always had a hard time with bible studies, but this one has me in awe! It’s is beautifully written and so lovely with its details, my favorite thing about it is it’s getting you into the word and having you understand what your reading and helping you understand how to apply it into your daily life! With a read and reflect section it takes you deeper into persons story. A scripture passage under each new story allows for you to be able to trace back to the Bible with verses correlating to that person in reference to. Each section also has a pause, ponder and pray section to take you deeper into thought and discussion.

I've wanted one of these for so long! They're visually stunning, well-written, and intentionally designed. As a new parent, it is so important to me that our kids are introduced to the Lord, and I think these books will catch their eye enough to want to keep flipping through. What I also really love about the Bible Study is the Pause, Ponder, Pray. I think the length of each study is also really good.

When I read this in the beginning of the year it was one of my favorite bible studies created so I bought the second one as well. This bible study brought up stories and connected it to topics and thoughts that I really enjoyed reading. Every day when I would read it would resonate with me somehow and it really helped me to slow down and just focus on the words on the page.

I wasn’t a big fan of this tbh. Feels weird to rate religious-based texts, but I felt that the messages they were attempting to convey were a little far-fetched or did not relate to the verse all that well.

However, there were a few chapters—the ones relating to Proverbs and Ecclesiastes—I found to be helpful.
