This isn't really a "playbook," despite the fact that this guy really loves a sports metaphor. It's more the memoir of a guy who got real upset when his neighbor said something mean about his Thin Blue Line flag on Facebook.
To the extent that it is a guide to fighting "the left's radical agenda," here's what I identified as the essential first steps:
1. Work for a major Republican Super PAC and get a job in Department of Justice during the Trump administration.
2. Network with reporters throughout the conservative mediasphere.
3. Establish yourself as a frequent guest on Fox News. Get chummy with Tucker Carlson.
4. Connect with a wealthy donor willing to subsidize your cause and help you fundraise. $500K, give or take a K, should be enough to run a not terribly successful campaign to recall school board members in your district.
5. Get the attention of Virginia gubernatorial candidate Glenn Yougkin. Help him get elected.
If you can do all this, you just might be able to keep CRT and "gender ideology" out of your schools.

Having lived the story line as a parent in Loudoun I encourage others to read the book.
I was able to understand more of the details of what happened and a lot of events were put in context.
This is also an excellent primer for parents across the US to take back their school boards from political ideologues and protect the future of our children.
I am recommending the book for others to read.

Excellent framework for parents fighting the woke agenda in their children’s school districts. Giving specific details on how to hold those in charge accountable for their actions (or inactions) and how to present a respectful, fact based argument. It’s clear that Fight For Schools and Ian Prior has set the precedent for parents across the country to get involved with their local school district.

For decades, public schools have become a political laboratory controlled by teachers unions and unelected bureaucrats focused more on building future leftist activists and less on giving children basic tools (math, science, reading) to succeed in the world.
Parents generally have not pushed back, whether because they’re too busy, don’t realize the extent of what is happening, or simply aren’t effective as one squeaky wheel voice.
This book tells and entertaining but also valuable story on how a handful of parents outsmarted their opponents and helped expose their school district, leading to not only a larger national movement but also to political change in Virginia.
Highly recommended for anyone that is pushing back against their own schools and for anyone that has had to deal with those annoying neighbors and HOA members who can turn any cookout into a hellish experience.

This was an entertaining and enlightening book about one of the biggest and consequential political movements in recent history - the parental rights movement.
While the movement didn’t necessarily start in Loudoun County, Virginia, the parents are symbolic of a battle to recapture a public school system that has trended far afield from its core mission.
The author does a great job of mixing in humorous anecdotes of overly woke activists working with the local school board, strategies that he and other parents executed to keep the pressure on against a $1 billion organization (a school system), all while providing a solid blueprint for other to organize and fight and win a battle of ideas.

One guy's memoir of how he became one of the most hated men in his neighborhood and how proud he is of it. Sure, he also gives a few tips and tricks on what to say to liberals and how to anger school boards but it all boils down to the fact he wants total control of his kids. His major points he makes again and again are:
Once a girl was raped in a school bathroom by a boy so bathrooms must always correspond to your biological sex.
Critical Race Theory is racist because it talks about race and we should just ignore it until like maybe high school.
Black Lives Matter and Drunk Wives Matter are both jokes and shouldn't be taken seriously. He bought a thin blue line flag and he and a friend took turns flying it in his neighborhood because why not? It's all in good fun.
My library bought this book and I read it because my sleepy parent brain checked it out thinking it was a parenting book. Nope, it's trash. Don't make my mistake. Let this wither til it's on a dusty list.

I signed up to receive an advanced review copy of this book and could not put it down. In fact, I have read it twice. I loved the personal stories of his woke neighbors who put him on an “anti-racist cancel list” for merely questioning CRT in public schools. I admire his bravery and how he flipped the script to expose them on national media instead! I know Prior personally and also know the “woke mob” who fought to keep schools closed longer and masks on longer, who plotted to keep Tanner Cross on leave longer (which was later found by VA Supreme Court to be unconstitutional), who blindly followed the school board at every turn and think Dr. Ziegler should not be indicted by a grand jury are backwards and will undoubtedly conspire to cancel him for his book because they are afraid it will expose all their lies and expose them to be the backwards idiots that they are. Hopefully this book will encourage more to stand up against these radical agendas in their public schools- For the sake of America’s future!

Good summary of how parents, when their children are in harms way, can stand up to the mob and win. I discovered very similar things were happening in my school district quite by accident. When I saw red flags, I dug for the truth because it won’t easily be revealed to you. CRT is hidden under other less common names, such as “Justice Learning.” Don’t let it fool you, it’s still about teaching kids to hate others for oppressing them, or to hate themselves for being an oppressor. And they have ways of weaving it in to every subject area (even math!) and in every lesson. What good can possibly come of this? I pushed to meet with the school superintendent, who was polite, claimed he hadn’t had time to read the lessons they were using (yes, he admitted that!) and sent me on my way. I shared the information and helped a concerned friend running for the school board who would fight this. My friend won all the precincts on Election Day, but lost after they counted the mail-ins that night. It’s Pennsylvania, of course. 😔

If someone had told me three years ago that Loudoun County would become a household name all over the United States, I never would have believed it. And I certainly wouldn't have believed that words like "inspirational" or "groundbreaking," would become synonymous with what was happening here. What transpired in this county and what was exposed by a dedicated and relentless group of parents, well that was just something that no one expected and assuredly no one thought was possible.

As a parent, you expect that the staff and elected officials in your school system are looking out for the best interest and best outcome for your child. One thing that 2020 taught us in Loudoun is that there are many in this county that don't fall into that category. The frustration and anger that parents felt as their children were pushed aside for politics, dangerous woke policies that catered to a tiny fraction of the student body, and racist anti-white rhetoric, was palpable. Something needed to be done. Enter Ian Prior.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ian Prior's Parents of the World Unite! The book is well-written, chronicals the saga of Loudoun County Public Schools and is a quick read at 234 pages. The book gives "12 Rules" that are easy-to-follow and alerts you to what to look out for in your school district. By the time you are done, you will have laughed, cried and most importanly, learned how to advocate for your kids.
