When an unexpected storm sends Elora’s sailboat colliding with the California coast’s rocky shore, moody eldest bachelor brother of Thorpe Manor, Asher, reluctantly comes to her rescue. The opportunity to study under a published, fellow artist and free-thinking young woman brought her to San Diego, but will the possibility of finding love keep her there? Like a twist and turn of the sharpest blade, not everything is as it seems in this dark Edwardian romance.

Y’all, I went into Loving Elora expecting a quick, steamy romance, but what I didn’t expect was a beautifully written historical fiction that completely swept me away. This Edwardian-era novella was pleasantly surprising and deliciously good—the kind of book you devour in one sitting and then immediately wish there was more.
The story follows Elora, a fiercely independent artist who finds herself stranded on the rocky California coast after a storm. Enter Asher—the moody, brooding bachelor of Thorpe Manor who rescues her. And let me just say, the tension between these two? Chef’s kiss. From the moment they meet, you know their connection is electric. But what happens when more than one man is fighting for your heart… and you realize it only truly belongs to one?
With only 98 pages, this book is short but completely immersive. The romance is intense, the atmosphere is rich, and the historical details? So well done! this book is all-consuming in the best way possible.
Elora capsized her sailboat and was washed ashore where Asher found her. Elora is independent and wants to explore. She came to California to see the Manor. She didn't expect to fall for the grump of the manor. The book is all consuming you want to see what happens next. This author has quickly become one of my favorites
