This was such a helpful - and enjoyable- way to read through the New Testament. Context is key to my learning style and this Bible with its many footnotes and sidebars gave helpful insight without being overwhelming. It took me awhile to work through it (it wasn’t the only thing I’ve been reading) but so glad to accomplish this read. My only request would be that more maps had been included. While included in the Gospels, none were included throughout the remaining books and would have been great resources.

Very interesting Timeline, very different
I enjoyed reading this along with footnotes that place the Scriptures on a more historical timeline of when they were written and what was happening during that time.
Very different, however, very enlightening concerning the background of what I believe to be the written Word of God.

What
This book is confusing & seems out of sync with almost all Biblical scholars re the dates & who wrote what & when.
Not worth reading in my humble opinion, although it is always good to read all side s & opinions regarding Biblical scholarship.

Time for the Word of God…
