One moment. That’s all it takes to change your life irrevocably. My moment was not what I expected.
It all started with a sandwich.
How, you ask? Well, that’s a long story. One I plan to tell you.
A word to the wise though—if your granny tells you you’re a witch, assume the worst.
Don’t be stupid.
Don’t go doodling occult symbols on your sandwich with your spreads.
Don’t have a strong desire to harm someone.
And most of all, don’t fucking cut yourself.
Do all four, and you’ll end up exactly where I am, saddled with a demon that is bound to my soul for eternity.

Hi Everyone. If you're reading this, it means you want to know more about me, which is good because I like to share. Let's see, I'm a 24 year old writer who started writing because the voices in my head told me to. I would have dream after dream that would play on repeat until I would write them out. And that's how most of my books are born. It all starts with a dream.
um what else? I'm a big dog lover. I have a little shih Tzu called Mikey who likes to pop up on my Facebook page during giveaways. I have a beautiful little girl, Allison who has started her first year of school this year. She loves reading just as much as I do and seems to enjoy paranormal too.

DNF at 30% when the FMC River tried to go back to her old apartment to collect the rest of her stuff from her ex after she spent a week recovering from . Not sure why she would think that her stuff would still be there after that long tbh....

I had to stop reading because I couldn't stand the inconsistent personalities of all the characters and unbelievable decisions.

1. River was a TSTL bleeding heart - a demon tried to kill her and , and after she unintentionally , decided to take him home as a pet so he didn't accidentally die in that form. I also wasn't too enamored by her big secret heritage as , a fact that she had to drag out of her grandmother and demons after pages of cluelessness.

2. Asmodeus was introduced as this cocky power demon prince, but apparently felt awful about making a snap judgement about River's ex during a conversation and begged River's forgiveness. He also chuckled gently and called himself cool after he grew more familiar with River - a rather casual tone for an alpha character.

3. River's Granny Esther was this weird mix of sassy teenager and elderly protective know-it-all. She would throw F bombs around in conversations, which wasn't very grandma-like....

4. River's ex-best friend was very one-dimensionally evil out of nowhere from the start - how could River possibly not have noticed she was a total bitch for years?!?!

I'll be avoiding this author in the future. I noticed afterwards that I had put some of their other books on my not-interested lists due to other GR friend reviews.

Great read. Could not put this down.
River has had the best day, until it turns into the worst when she finds more than she bargained for coming home bu family is what you need even if they have been estranged. River Discovers she is way stronger than she thought and connects with those she never thought she would. This book unravels so many secrets but not enough. i so so hope this book turns into a series.
Brilliant read.

So good!!

I absolutely loved this book. Even though it was a little different from her romance heavy novels, Tamara White did such an amazing job on the plot foe this book. I am so excited to see what comes next for these characters!!!

Amazing

I can't wait to read the next book. It was twisty and dark but I enjoyed it. The only reason I didn't do 5 stars was because of the editing. There were lots of typos and incorrect words.

Slow burn but so good

It starts out pretty slow but the world building is spectacular. Tamara definitely knows how to weave the storyline, plot, characters! I love the dynamics so far. River is a strong female character that goes through hardships that would break anyone. Will it break her though or will she persevere? Pick up this book and find out 💙
