Sasha can’t handle any more loss. By day, she’s a one-woman-show, running an apple orchard all on her own. By night, she’s a lonely wife on the verge of losing her marriage while doing her best to tend her aging uncle, who likes to clone living things. Sasha loved the man she married, and for a time, Hadrien made her the center of his world. All she wanted was her husband back, but she forgot to heed the old adage, be careful what you wish for.
Hadrien is an athletic, younger man eager to prove himself at work and to the rest of the world. But his wife, Sasha, has fallen off of his to-do list. He promised his wife to be with her until death we do part. But when he unexpectedly dies, leaving Sasha childless, her determination not to lose any more loved ones crosses the line from understandable to downright insane.
And if Sasha can’t resist her need for more, they could both lose everything.
Tina Proffitt is the author of over two-dozen reincarnation-romance novels of diverse subgenres, an out-of-work homeschool mother, and lover of all things supernatural. Her Bachelor of Arts in Education, a love for reading and writing, and a lot of encouragement from her loved ones got her where she is today.
I’m not a big sci-fi fan, but thought I’d give it a try. The main character, Sasha, was so self-centered that I couldn’t stand her. I found the premise of the plot completely inconceivable. This one was a no for me. Pretty sure I’ll be avoiding sci-fi in the future.
Thank you to the author and publisher for the Kindle copy won in a Goodreads giveaway.
This is a fantasy story that really didn't resonate with me. I know the possibility of human cloning is an issue these days but it was just too off beat for me. Not a bad read but not my cup of tea. I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.
