This review is for The One That Got Away by Michelle MacQueen and Ann Maree Craven.

Reese is back in Superiore Bay, Maine. Four years she's been avoiding her home town - and her first love, Damien. She gets a job with Selena and Connor at Orchard Hill Farms, but how long can she keep avoiding Damien?

It's nice to be back in Superiore Bay and get to see some of the characters from the Maine Mornings series again! New main characters that I really like, and I would have loved to follow them in a lon

I read Three Rules to Becoming a Goddess by Michelle McCraw. The short story has four women meeting after walking out of a self help meeting. Bonding over drinks Savannah with her new friends she catches the eye of Andrew who buys them all a round. Andrew is 13 years younger, wealthy and has a crush on Savannah when she ran in the same crowd as his mother. But now she's been divorced a year and maybe ready for something new.

This is a cute set up and could easily be built into a longer novel or

This book has stories in it that every one should read to gain some understanding about what people go through and why they should have these simple rights. A beautiful, gripping anthology.

Power and Poignant, Fun and Feisty

This anthology includes 23 short stories and 35 poems with themes ranging from sweetly romantic to fiery and defiant, all in support of fundamental rights for women and financial and logistical support for access to abortions. The poems were thought-provoking and emotion-evoking (read: rage inducing!); I read these and my heart hurt and I thought about child rearing and I got all fired up for women’s rights. I had skipped ahead to read the poetry, so once I’d ca

Brilliant cause - moving and thoughtful collection.

As a hopeless romantic addicted to happily ever afters, I found this collection thoughtful and moving, and at times challenging and heartbreaking. At the time of writing this review, I have only completed 50% of the book - there is a lot of content! What I have read I found to be wonderful bite-sized reads - brave stories of women facing challenges. I have swooned, raged, cried and laughed, and definitely been challenged more than my usual style

Review for: Wright to Love by Renee Dyer

An emotional story about a young woman, who at twelve years old had to make a choice no child should have to make. She was still a child herself, physically and mentally incapable of carrying a baby or becoming a mother. Tilly was incredibly brave, to have made that decision, with the help of her mother and doctor. She should not have been shunned because of that decision. Every woman deserves to be able to make the choice that is best for them and their b

A great anthology (that I loved), with some touching stories that will pull at your heart, some have hard decisions for the couples involved. One of the tales is The One That Got Away by Ann Maree Craven and Michelle MacQueen - which is about Reese and Damien who once knew each other so well, till they were torn apart. Can they have a second chance, when Reese finally returns to her hometown? Or will their history stand in their way of happiness? I loved this engaging story, Reese was easy to lo ...more

Review for Three Rules for Becoming a Goddess
By Michelle McCraw

As a woman of a certain age myself, I took a particular delight in reading this reverse age gap short story featuring Carly, a 40-something divorcee, and Andrew, the hot young son of her frenemy. Carly is still reeling from her recent divorce when she bonds with a group of women at a less-than-enlightening empowerment seminar. While sharing drinks with the women, she’s approached by Andrew, and a sizzling night of passion follows. Ba

My heart!

I will repeat again what I love about an anthology. I get to meet new to me authors, whilst catching up with much loved ones all while donating and raising awareness of a fantastic cause. And this one is no different.
I want to personal thank every single person involved with this anthology. An amazing collection of authors who have come together to support and stand up for the rights of women.
This is the book community at its finest and what a fantastic collection of short stories.

Short tales of romance from over twenty amazing authors. Gathered all together for a great price.

I'm sure you will find a favorite. Here's a bit about mine. The One That Got Away by  Michelle McQueen and Ann Maree Craven. These ladies are awesome. They create towns I want to visit over and over, populated by characters who are smart, witty; each very human and unique. This story fits snuggly into their Maine Mornings series. After reading this you can dive right in to the rest of the books!

The Proposal Ellie Issacson

I was waiting for Diesel and Natalia's story. I've always favored them. Natalia's spunk and feistiness are cute. That combination makes it so no-one messes with her. She can hold her own and isn't afraid to tell Diesel what's on her mind. They deserved their story.

WOW I had the pleasure of reading a clip of KL Donn book Cage & Magnolia. I love KL Donn books and love the way she writes her stories, she make you feel like you are really apart of the book. This book blew me away just from the little bit I read and was upset that it was over so quick. I definitely cannot wait to read more of Cage and Magnolia's story, I just know it will be amazing in every way!!!

I read KL Donn’s story, Cage & Magnolia!

KL Donn just SLAYS!! I have no idea how she does this with every single book! I saw a title the other day that stated, “Books that make you forget that you were reading” and the first author that I thought of when I read this was KL Donn!!

Can’t wait to read the rest of the story in 2023!!

The Proposal by Ellie Isaacson
If you’ve read The Boss then you are going to love this epilogue for Diesel and Natalia.
If not no worries Ms. Isaacson gives enough information and details as to not feel lost and not understanding the situation. But once you’ve read it I’m going to guess you’re going to want to read their full book.
I loved reading this quick but lacking for nothing story.

I have read Unexpected Endings by Shannon O'Connor. This short story about Jenna and Oliver and their pregnancy journey is an emotional one. All the emotions! This is a review for Unexpected Endings by Shannon O’Connor:

I have loved all of Ms O’Connor’s works and this is no different. It is a very heartbreaking story about Jenna and Oliver who are overjoyed to discover that Jenna is pregnant but only to have their joy turn to heartbreak when they have to abort the pregnancy due to the pregnancy being eptocic. My heart broke for them both as they had to deal with their loss and emotions. I felt Ms O’Connor handled this very delicately and felt the compa

Cage and Magnolia's story is very intense. The connection between them is startling for them both but too powerful to ignore. The passion between them flares out of control and nothing will ever be the same. This little taste of this couple's start is explosive and addicting. I will be desperate for their entire tale until its in my hot little hands! Brava, KLD! ...more
