One of the best books about how to use real magic into a RPG. It's amazingly clear, gives information on major magical practices of today, the symbolic meanings of elements and foci, and how sorcery should work in subtle ways. Not just material for Nephilim: Occult Roleplaying, but useful for any game that incorporates western occult traditions.

Yes, this is exactly what Nephilim needed. Instead of the standard RPG "flashy magic" crap, this is a different system of rituals and traditions, modeled on real-world occultist ideas. It reminds me a lot of my early twenties, so it definitely jives with my extremely limited knowledge. It also adds a very 90s vibe to the magic, not least because it feels a little bit Buffy-esque. For me, at least, the firmly-planted-in-the-90s feel is very much part of the appeal of Nephilim, so that's an added bonus.
