Read this book w/ my 7-year-old nephew who sat and read the entire story with me from start to finish all by himself! Things he loved: All the things he had in common with the main character Ty like his love for superheroes, dancing and playing sports!
What I loved about this story: It kept my nephew’s attention the entire time. The core lesson of doing things without expectation of perfection but simply because you enjoy them. The beautiful illustrations. The positive portrayal of a beautiful Black family that is supportive, encouraging and fun! Great book for boys ages 6-10 years old

This book is amazing!! It is hard to find a children's book with beautiful, vibrant colors and illustrations. I love how the author made it simple for children to understand that it is okay to be comfortable and happy with their own decisions! I will be purchasing a few copies for my church youth group. Being able to help children be mindful and positive is an amazing gift. Thanks for this encouraging book!

I love spending time reading to my daycare kids. This book storyline combines an learning experience which makes the book interesting. The children listened attentively and asked questions which lets me know they enjoyed the book just as much as I did. So, LOVE these books by Mrs. Jones can’t wait to read more.
