Will she be happy with Adam? Or will her past trouble her again?
The cover of the book is aptly designed. The plot of the story is engaging, emotional and different. It is a perfect blend of love, pain, trouble, memories, trauma and self battle within. The author has very well narrated all the emotions and dream sequence. Language used is simple and lucid. Characters are well developed by the author. The flow of the book is well paced. Hats off to the author for giving the message of hope and courage through this story.
Often it has been seen that just because an individual does not fit as per the particular norms that have been set out by the society, they fall casualty of the uncalled, undeserved and rather fortuitos judgement of others.
However, what is not taken into consideration is that this judgment, gossiping and misunderstanding that has been created can leave a long lasting impact on the said individual.
Anna, our main female protagonist from the book, ‘Confessions of A Dyslexic Lover’ by author Ria Dutta was someone who was also a victim of this undeserved chastisement during her high school years.
And owing to this, a period of time which is supposed to be a sort of an enjoyable and unforgettable experience, the memories of which will be carried for the coming years is turned into absolute chaos for our lead.
However, as a part of a defense mechanism of sorts, Anna was able to sweep all these unpleasant moments under the rug and move on with her life.
But, as they say, no matter how hard we try, the actions of our past always find a way to catch up with us in the present, and that is exactly what happens here.
Now forced to deal with the sudden onslaught of so many different things all at once, will Anna be able to navigate through all of this or will her issues swallow her whole is the question that remains to be seen.
The writing style of the author was quirky and the story had a good pace, therefore there was never any need for skimming the pages, hence I am going to give this book FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
•The story revolves around a woman Anna and Adam, with whom she falls in love with. •I found the book slow paced and not that intresting initially until I reached the mid part. • Later, while reading the book it seemed the book educated about a person's behaviour and what a dyslexic person goes through in life. •The struggle of handling the past, deal with the past and present situations. •The language is lucid and the emotional touch the story line gives is good.
I picked up this book for its intriguing title. The Confessions of a Dyslexic Lover by Ria Dutta is an interesting story that revolves around a young woman Annain her late twenties. Having grown up with a bad reputation in school during her teenage, she was constantly judged for everything. What none of them saw was the reason behind her arrogant behavior. Now after many years she falls in love with Adam. She finds in him a match much needed. Will she be happy with him? Or does her past still haunt her? Read the book to know more.....
The language is simple and easy to read. The characters develop as the story progresses. The emotional turmoil that Anna goes through has been described well. Though the book is slow paced the narration in different POV makes it interesting. The author successfully conveys the message that Hope for a better future and Courage to overcome the fear of the past goes a long way to keep our present peaceful. The climax has been planned well. Overall an engrossing read
"Alone... unloved… worthless… unwanted… these feelings terrified her; if one man abandoned her, she had to find another to take his place… fill the void, save herself… from herself… love her, for she couldn’t love herself." . Do we realize how important it is to heal from childhood traumas and abuses? Because if one doesn't, it could lead to some serious repercussions and troubled adulthood. . Anna is facing dyslexia since her early age. With time her condition worsens. Despite being a charming and confident lady, she had hard times dealing with guys and thus, relationships. . With an appreciable concept and multiple POVs, this book is proving to be a promising read. The storyline is gripping and worth waiting for. However, Anna's character was somewhat confusing. I couldn't get through her mind and the actions she was proceeding with. She had been portrayed as having multiple affairs with guys, but truly this seemed impractical. Considering the psychological conditions she had been facing with, her charm didn't quite seem to fit well. Her emotional limbo had made her unsatisfied with the life too. What seemed to started with problematic bonds ended with the confessions of troubled childhood. . It is needful to receive good parenting because it ultimately shapes the future of the child. After all, at the end of the day we all are humans, susceptible to mistakes. Parents can sometimes be toxic to their children and they must take utmost care of it (putting their parental ego aside). I appreciated how the author brought those much needed context through her fiction. . The middle section of the book seemed messy and repetitive. But I loved how everything fell at the right place towards the end. Adam and Mike had their fare share of roles in the book. One can look for one time read, not light but intriguing enough to hook you untill the last page.
I am casual about everything but in the story, the girl was changing boys like an influencer changes clothes that thing I hate about girls because of that lots of boys don't trust and vice versa.
The story starts with the gist of an interesting love story and as the story grows it becomes a Dark romance and as the story ends it becomes a mental health-related story.
The book has a gripping Story and yeah it can be finished in a short period but I wanted a good ending which I didn't get.
One thing I understood from this is that if you ever have kids give them the love they deserve or if you don't want that kid in your life then don't let them feel that because even the slightest negativity can ruin a child's life and that will make them miserable and miserable people always make their life pathetic.
Glimpse in a blink
Anna had been severely dyslexic since childhood and She had been called slut, a whore many names time and again in the past by her ex-boyfriends and the girls who had hated her in school, she was just too afraid to even try to be on her own or be single. She didn’t even know what that was like because ever since the age of fourteen she was always in a relationship.
Adam was on his way to meet the girl of his dream She was everything he had ever wanted; she was funny, sweet, caring and the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on. whom he adores but he is also afraid of losing her because she is the girl whom everyone wants and he always forgave her many times to date. However, she is a changed woman now, and for the past two years, their relationship had been a stable one. But he couldn’t help but wonder if she would repeat her pattern.

Confessions of a Dyslexic Doter by Ria Dutta Confessions of a Dyslexic Doter is a prehending story about a puerile woman's battles with herself, her mistakes, her actions, and her evils. The dark side she discovers and her path to redemption
R E V I E W. The protagonist of this book, Anna, suffers from dyslexia, which has spoiled her Teenage life and made a bad and arrogant impression on everyone. Nobody inquired about her background or the reasons for her arrogance. In her late twenties, she met Adam, a good-looking and nice boy. But her past issues continue to haunt her and make things worse for her from time to time.
Will Anna find the light at the end of the tunnel in her life's tumultuous journey, or will she succumb to the darkness of her past?
MY OPINION... I relished this story; it was a unique and astounding experience for me. The plots were impeccable and regaling. The story moves along smoothly with their character.
Certain things that happen to us while we're young stay with us for a long time and may even have an impact on the rest of our lives, depending on what the event was.
Anna is a young woman who has a terrible past which she wants to leave behind, but is it really so simple? She experienced many difficulties and incidents that contributed to her poor reputation at her school. However, love always have the power to make things right. When Anna started to feel loved again, her past intervened. Will she be able to find happiness once more?
The story of a teenage girl with a bad history and an even worse present is beautifully told. The narrative is incredibly captivating and intriguing. This book can be easily read in two sittings, as I did. Speaking of the language, it was complex yet simple to read and comprehend. The book cover is colourful and beautiful it matches with the book title and story plot.
This is a unusual tale and first of the kind that I have read. It is about a female lead who has a troubled childhood and then life turns out differently as she grows. The story is properly planned and the plot is executed meticulously. The usage of simple language and simple themes makes it an interesting read. The writer has taken extra steps to speak about an issue and it's solution as well. It is sort of giving voice to the voiceless. It is the quick act of judgement and misunderstanding continues forever and it changes Anna's life. Will she struggle and strive or will she drown? Grab this book to know more about her and her odyssey.
One star to myself for daring to read this. It is literally one of my most hated books. In every chapter i was just cussing the fmc. Leave her to be dyslexic lover- i wish I had dyslexia so that I could avoid reading this shit.
