Pulls characters from stand alone novels Tribe, The Dark, and Mind Bullet, taking this superhuman team into the underworld for a fantastical and horrific tale.
Several months after his neighborhood was cloaked in darkness and invaded by the demon-like denizens of a hellish world, life has returned to normal for Miah Gray, aka: Laser Chicken. No longer burdened by PTSD, he is free to enjoy his family and to help pick up the pieces of a pillaged world. And at night, he trains with his eight-year-old companion, Bree, aka: Demon Dog and their neighbors, Henry and Sarah, the god-like descendants of Helen of Sparta and the mythological Zeus.
All is calm…until new neighbors move in across the street and shatter the peace. Jonas, aka: Mind Bullet, a telekinetic assassin, and his artificial intelligence, Bubbles, are pursued by strange and powerful enemies. The neighborhood is rocked by sudden violence, but the unlikely heroes band together to save the residents once more. However, their victory is short-lived when it’s interrupted by the appearance of a superhuman figure who has been influencing their lives for years: Linda.
Aka: Zeus.
In classic mythology fashion, Zeus, supreme god of Olympus, sends them on an urgent quest: descend into the underworld, travel through the realm between worlds—Khaos, face whatever trials await, find the gate to Tartarus, and summon the gods and Titans residing there to war. A grave evil is coming, and only Earth’s oldest and most powerful heroes can stop it.
TO SAVE MANKIND…
…THEY MUST RAISE THE GODS.

I say this nearly every time, but it’s only because it’s true - every time I read a Jeremy Robinson book, I think it’s the best thing he’s written and it can’t possibly get better. Then he produces another book that’s even better.
Jeremy has been creating a world of characters that will ultimately come together in SINGULARITY. KHAOS is the penultimate book tying the stories together. And if KHAOS is any indication, SINGULARITY is going to kick every previous books’ ass!!! Can. Not. Wait!
I just finished this audiobook, and what an amazing experience it was. It didn't matter that I had already read the book, because the narration brought the story alive in an awesome way that made it all new again. The collaboration between Jeremy Robinson and RC Bray is definitely a magical one!
Reading Khaos was the literary equivalent of my favorite characters from Jeremy Robinson's books forming a band and playing nothing but 70's classic rock-simply the best! This was an amazing addition to the Infinite Timeline and I enjoyed every minute of the read. I was a big fan of Miah when I read The Dark and was thrilled to see him front and center in this book. The story was fast, fun and filled with some craziness - highly entertaining! Now the wait begins for the audiobook so I can do it all over again.
Mehhhh? I understand that it's a bit of a "bridge" book to get to "Singularity", but while good, it was still a bit of a disappointment; The story felt a bit "forced", and went on a bit too long. Having said that, it was still entertaining. Jeremy Robinson's imagination is frightening (in a good way.)
This book was fun. I really enjoy the characters of this Robinsonverse storyline. This last chapter before Singularity is ridiculously fantastic. Definitely check it out. Greek mythology gets berserk in a way that only this author can achieve.
Amazing! J.R. does it again. His writing, with Bob's narrating? Top shelf. This story is amazing, and it was a great continuation in the Infinite Timeline. Can't wait to see what Singularity holds!
The New God Of Science Fiction Strikes With His Best Yet. Robinson, the New God of Science Fiction, squarely takes on an element of scifi/ fantasy that he has been circling a bit tangentially for a few books now via Mind Bullet and Tribe in particular, and in this particular book takes the characters from both of those former books + The Dark and combines them into an "Avengers" crossover event... to travel through Khaos and encounter many creatures from the Greek myths. In classic Robinson style, we get a lot of heart, a lot of action, a lot of banter... and in the end... well... you're going to want to have SINGULARITY, the final book in the Infinite Timelines "MCU approach to storytelling" event, in your hands the moment you finish this book. Yet again, Robinson proves himself capable of using any element of science fiction and spinning his own unique brand of chaotic action into it, masterfully telling his stories his way incorporating any form of prior science fiction, from the ancient to the bleeding edge. Truly masterful, and very much recommended.
Book 12/13 complete. Jeremy Robinson is a masterful storyteller and the Infinite Timeline is among some of the greatest series I’ve read. Looking forward to finishing the final book and seeing what JR & RC Bray have in store
I can only pray that Singularity is a twelve volume title by itself because the first twelve books in the timeline were so much fun to experience (vs. read… Thank you R.C. Bray) that I don’t want it to end!
Bonkers, but in a good...nay, great way. Story revolves around characters from Tribe, The Dark and Mind Bullet, but is centered on Miah (The Dark). Story is great, start to finish. Jam packed with CRAZY Ancient Greek mythos. Not just the mainstream stuff either. I'm talking the uncensored, "they did whaaaaa?!" stuff. The last chapter though...Holy Singularity Setup, Batman! I absolutely cannot wait to see the shenanigans the whole Infinite Team get into!! 5 out of 5 stars, will read again. Will also definitely listen once the undisputed Narrator King, Mr. RC Bray, lends his vocal gifts to the story and makes it available to us mere mortals.
The second to last book in the Infinite series. Jeremy has brought in team #2 with this story. We have Miah aka Laser Chicken and Bree aka Demon Dog (The Dark), Jonas aka Mind Bullet and Bubbles (Mind Bullet), and Sarah and Henry (The Order). Great team up! If you like Greek mythology, you’ll really enjoy this one (I think. I don’t know the liberties Jeremy took with the mythology since I’m not an expert.) this is basically a super hero book. And it’s a fun one. Lot of action. Lot of bad ass powers. And then the cliffhanger leading into our last book.
While I enjoyed this book, there were a few things i wasn’t fond of. Jonas seemed different. The main character in the book that we follow is Miah. Which makes Jonas seem off to me. I know he had a huge transformation in Mind Bullet, but he doesn’t seem as funny or cool anymore. He’s more of a strong silent type now. That’s not a big deal really. However, Bubbles is barely in the book which kind of sucks because she was hilarious to me in Mind Bullet. Maybe she would make the team to overpowered if she was as she was in Mind Bullet. Another thing was the constant reminding that Henry physically can’t be fearful so he’s impulsive and crass and really just doesn’t think before he does. We get it. Even if you happened to pick this book up before The Order, you’d have figured it out the first or at most the second time it was mentioned. Lastly, and this one is a big one for me, is Bree’s communication skills. She’s 8, but she seems like she’s 16 at times. I’ve had 8 years olds in my life, and they don’t talk like that. I’m never a fan of when authors use young children as wise souls. Can you have a conversation with them? Sure. But not the way Jonas and Bree were having at times.
But even with the knocks (mine…maybe not yours), I still had a good time with the book. There was a surprise name that I won’t mention here that I wasn’t expecting who was from another book in this series. I kept looking at the name and had to google who it was because it wasn’t registering. Can’t wait to see how Jeremy incorporates this person into this battle that’s about to happen in…
So I won't lie, I used to be a huge Robinson fan for the Nemesis and Chess Team series, but the last few years I haven't really enjoyed his newest works. Some of the were okay but just didn't have the adventure and awesomeness of his old works.
But then Khaos came. Khaos was amazing from beginning to end. Miah, Bree, Sarah, Henry, Jonas, and Bubbles are back, along with a couple bonus characters. Miah finally stops acting like a depressed teenager and finally like an adult and later, a leader. Jonas is more mature. Henry is still Henry. Bubbles isn't in the novel all that much, which was a shame, but when she is, I genuinely laughed out loud at her outbursts.
This novel did an awesome job showing what Greek mythology could look like if it was real. The fight against the chimera was thrilling and made me excited to keep reading.
Overall, I thought it was a great book and an excellent second chapter in the trilogy. Very much like the Empire Strikes Back. I'm excited to read the final novel and see how it all gets tied together and ends.
The one negative thing I have to say is that I still disappointed that the author has taken so much time to work on the so called Inifinity timeline and still hasn't finished the Chess Team series. He has written a ton of books in this timeline and still hasn't finished the final book in the Chess Team series. Just seems like an odd priority. At this point, it's borderline George R R Martin behavior, working on everything but the next book. Time will tell which comes out first: the next Game of Thrones book or the final Chess Team novel
Robinson authors another masterpiece! The 12th entry in the Infinite Timeline, working toward the magnum opus, Singularity. If 12 or 13 books seems like a daunting task, just do yourself a favor and start it. This series is good, like stay up all night with a flashlight reading on a school night good!
The characters JR creates have so much depth and relatability. Jonas (Mind Bullet) is the loner bada-$ you wish you could be, Henry (Tribe) is your annoying friend who is incredibly cocky but you love anyway, Sarah (Tribe) is the quiet, strong, but intelligent friend/sister that always comes through for you, Jonas (the Darkness) is the lovable goofball who finds his feet, learns to trust himself, and you are always subconsciously cheering for, and Bree (the Darkness) could be anyones kid sister, cousin or niece who can’t help but put a smile on your face.
Finally having them all come together is awesome in a Avengers/X-Men/Star Wars crossover way, and the personalities first mix somewhat like oil and water.
This book is told from Jonas’ point of view, which is one of my favorites. JR has crafted an amazing inner monologue for Jonas, and it makes the reader feel as if it could be their own thoughts. The “I’m Okay!” part hit home for me specifically,as I have done the exact same thing. (You’ll know the part when you get there!)
TL;DR: Read the series, read Khaos, and then reread the books like the rest of us while impatiently waiting for Singularity!
I'll do 4 1/2 stars here - great read! This is the penultimate book in the Infinite series, and things are finally starting to really come together! I have admired Mr. Robinson for his work on the Infinite series, really enjoying each of the books individually; but without really seeing how any of them fit together as a related series (for the most part). There were easter eggs embedded here and there, referring back to a character or environment or situation in a previous book, but they simply didn't "follow" one after the other, that I could tell. Any one book could be easily read on its own, with no knowledge of previous books, and you wouldn't have been lost or missed anything (except the odd easter egg).
However, with Khaos, they are all starting to come together. The back references to previous characters and situations is no longer an easter egg style hidden reference, but rather a full on "this comes from that, and here's why." Truly a fantastic job of bringing things together, and I can only imagine what the final book will pull out!
And I can't review one of these books without a shout-out to R.C. Bray for his outstanding narration; just great! I honestly can't imagine a Jeremy Robinson book without R.C. Bray at this point! Huzzah!
Jeremy Robinson does it again (Like it was even a question).
Gods, Monsters, Laser Wings, A.I with digital Tourette’s. You name it, Robinson delivers in the Khaos. Bringing together the storylines from Mind Bullet, The Dark, and Tribe pitted against the monsters of the underworld, they go on a mission to grow and develop trust each other, emerging into, what one hopes is a worlds-saving team while working through their individual issues and learning what all they can do. This book introduces the group to each other and sets the stakes for the next novel in the series.
The team is brought together by Zeus and sent into Khaos to return with all the gods and titans from Tartarus to battle an unknown threat to the world. Aliens, gods and the fate of the universe. Crude humor, monster battles, poisoned fruit, important snacks, growth and learning to forgive yourself. Most importantly, Cherry – that evil delicious Cherry bomb.
What can I say? This was a good read! A bit annoyed with all the Nemesis references since I have not (as yet at least) read those novels. The inclusion of Torment into this series seemed quite odd at first. But it did help make Infinite2 make more sense (2nd time around) with its references. I am curious how all the players from this series will come together in the final book, Singularity. Especially when I see that the character narrators for each chapter mostly are Muah and Dark Horse. Maybe 2 each by Bree as well The Architect. Oh, I love R.C. Bray as a narrator. Have read far more novels narrated by him than any other narrator and more than my most read author (probably Stephen King at 40+) has even written. And so Bob, after Singularity I will be reading a few by an alternate narrator so it doesn't get too confusing. Though I have Hell Divers 10 ready to read anytime. And I suppose I should check out Nemesis at some point.
The penulitimate Entry in the Infinite Timeline Crossover series... or is it? To be honest the amount of easter eggs, crossovers to his other works which are not listed in the series is noticable. So in order to fully "appreciate" this series you could/should also read: - Nemesis Saga Books (Nemesis appears and is mentioned in several infinity books) - SecondWorld - Nazi Hunter Atlantis (this one is major I think, since a character from here is a supporting character in several Infinity Timeline books) - Jane Harper Trilogy (slight cameo in Infinite 2) - There are other minor cameos from other books as well.
This one felt a bit out of it - we follow a group that has no impact on the overall plot in this book. Its a team-building-setup book, which is the usual popcorn nonsense fun, inlcuding meta comments like a character saying "who would write such a thing" etc. I like this group better than the exo-hunter one - while story wise its the other way around. -3.5-
This time Jeremy Robinson dips into the Greek myths and turns the world upside down. This has my favorites from his other books like the Tribe and Order and some new stuff. If you have never read his books before, that’s okay. Start here and read what you find when you find it. This man is good. If you HAVE read JR, you are gonna love this one. I highly recommend this book. I received an advance copy to review but I fully intend on purchasing both the audiobook and hardback copy of this. This is another fantastic creation from Jeremy Robinson. Kudos, sir!
The forces of Tribe, The Dark, and MindBullet come together for pages of Khaos! The Infinite timeline gets another entry that doesn’t disappoint. The Characters are as awesome as ever and the way they interact with one another is fantastic.
The story is fun and fast paced and sets up the final book of the infinite timeline.
Jeremy Robinson really bit off a huge project in connecting 9 books and bringing them together for a mega event.
Super satisfied with this entry and cannot wait to see how the whole saga concludes with Singularity
Another thrilling adventure in the Infinite Universe! Jeremy Robinson is the master of modern day mythological sci-fi adventures. This book kept me sane during a long layover at Orlando airport, and I was so invested I didn't care if my flight had actually arrived or not. I loved the mingling of characters from his other stories and the chemistry they had. Seriously, don't miss this one. Or any other Jeremy Robinson novel for that matter. They are always a wild ride. I can't wait for the next one!
You know when you start a book, it's so good that you drop everything to finish it. That was me for the last 2 days reading Khaos. This book is AWESOME. None stop fun filled action at every turn. I loved the progression of the characters from the other books and the relationship they develop as they are all tested in this book.
JR you really make these stories fun to read and hard to put down. The wait is now on for the final book in this story, SINGULARITY and I honestly cannot wait to see how this ends. Definitely one of my best reads for 2022.
Blow me away? No, not really, but it does set the stage for an epic collision of all timelines in Singularity.
Khaos does a good job of bringing the characters from Tribe, The Dark and Mind Bullet in the same way The Order brought the characters from The Others, Flux, and Exo Hunter did. How they get there is where this book falls short for me.
If you’re read the 11 other books, does it truly matter if this one isn’t OMG worthy? Nope.. What truly matters is that we are now locked and loaded for one gigantic, insane ending.
This man weaves a web of Greek (and other) Gods together that I didn’t know was possible. I’m obsessed with him. I believe he’s from MA, but writes about NH locations. I’m a native and some of his descriptions have a little bit of an inside joke. If you’re familiar with route 4 or 16 you’ll get the jokes too. He also suffers(ed) from PTSD and talks real about the struggle. Great writer. Great Human.
Ps- This ‘multiverse’ is complicated. Follow the order in his guide. (I fell into it and it’s been an interesting ride).
As with Order, there is a LOT happening in this book, and as I was listening to it passively while doing yard work and house projects, I feel like I missed a lot, and need to give it another listen. Overall though, I had a positive impression of it and enjoyed my time listening to it. A big part of that is because it is through the perspective of the main protagonist from Exo Hunter, which brough a lot of fun '80s action revival energy. He's one of my favorite characters in this whole Infinite Timeline.
I’ve been binging the infinite timeline series in anticipation for this book and I did not disappoint! Jeremy Robinson comes in with his usual humor and wit with his characters. There is so much I love about the series as a whole, but individually the books are better and better each time one is released. I don’t wanna post spoilers so grab your copy and devour it. You will not be disappointed at all. Mr. Robinson, you did it again!
HOLY MOLY!! Each book I read in this series is just better than the next. Khaos did not disappoint in building up to the final book at all. I am a total ball of emotions at the edge of my seat! JR has outdone himself in making Greek mythology grossly interesting. If you read this book by itself, I totally urge you to read the Infinite series in it's entirety because it is a multiverse beyond comprehension!
