Four stars ☆☆☆☆

Laura is being charged with attempted murder. To get her out of jail, her sleazy stepfather hires a bail bondsman named Bennet. Once she's out of jail she feels just as trapped as she was inside. She decides to escape her house, her stepfather, and all the secrets.

Bennet is a man who likes the hunt. As a bounty hunter, he's good at it. As a man, he's even better. And when little Laura runs away with her little brother in tow... he realizes he wants HER. Secrets and all, she's his. But he wants to help her work it all out- I thought that was sweet.

Gia Bailey is a pro at writing about obsessed heroes and the innocent women who love them. This was another good story from her, I enjoyed it!

The way every issue that Laura faced was wrapped up within 5 minutes was the wackiest shit ever. She avoided telling Barret/anyone who could possibly help for SO LONG. Like, babe, I'm telling the whole bus my childhood trauma as I get on. I get she was worried but god she took every avenue to not get help and I was SO CONFUSED?!?!

This was a really good book. I really enjoyed Bennet and Laura together with their intense connection and undeniable chemistry. Laura is willing to do anything and everything to protect her little brother which leads her into Bennet's path. Laura has a hard time believing Bennet but he will prove to her that he means business and they will get their HEA.

I loved this book. The story was terrific and I thought that Laura was an amazing character. The chemistry between her and Bennett was perfect and the other characters blended in seamlessly with the story. I can't wait for the next book.

There wasn’t a single moment of this book that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy reading! Every moment was fantastically written and unexpected! Bennett and Laura were amazing characters with an even more amazing story to tell! Laura is a young woman in jail for attempted murder of her stepfather’s colleague. Bennett is the bail bondsman that holds the bond for her bail. There is so much going on behind the scenes that every moment either answers a question or creates a new one!

Why did she do what she did? What is going on in her stepfather’s home? Then her half brother gets added to the mix and the story really gets good. With her brother’s future as her highest priority, she goes on the run to start a new life. The determination and resourcefulness of this young woman was heart breaking but also inspiring. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for him. What she doesn’t realize is that Bennett would do anything for both of them! You won’t expect the twist that comes with the answers that Laura finally gives.

I LOVED Bennett and Laura. Both of these characters were amazing! Laura is so strong and brave. Bennett is protective and focused. The scenes with her on the run and him chasing her and fantastic. I loved how things play out when he finds her!! The ending of this book was nothing short of perfection. It was exactly where I would hope these two would end. I can’t wait to hear more about them as supporting characters in future books!

This is the 8th story in the His Obsession Series and in this story we get to discover how Laura a beautiful young woman is being charged with attempted murder. When her wealthy stepfather hires Bennett a bail bondsman to get her out on bail Bennett and his band of workers do their job. Bennett is ex military and looks a bit scary and knows right away that something is off with Laura and her relationship with her step father. Laura thought she could stay in jail to escape him but once she’s told her brother, Benji is coming home under her step fathers care she does what’s necessary to get out. Laura knows they’ll never be safe so she takes off with Benji to a remote off the grid cabin that was her fathers. Only problem is Bennett figures out that she’s going to run and him and his team are on the hunt to get her back, uncover her secrets and offer her genuine help. Bennett, Laura and Benji have a wonderful time in the cabin and as Laura trust and opens up to Bennett he makes sure Laura will be safe and helps to destroy those out causing harm to others. 4.5 stars - OH MY! Laura and Bennet are fabulous!

Bennet's fierce protectiveness and determination to make right whatever has caused Laura to act out in murderous rage make him one sexy man. I love that he gives her room to maneuver and time to sort through things while providing her the backup she's been missing for many years.

As for Laura, she's loyal and incredibly protective of her little brother, willing to go to the mats for him. I admire her spirit and desire to do right by him. Of course, Bennet throws a wrench or two in her plans, but that just makes things more interesting. 😄🏏🔥❤

Another thing about this couple that I love is the playfulness, once they get some matters out of the way, of course. Truth or dare, slight of hand, and more had me laughing and squirming. They truly are fun to read and I could've read more.

This is book number 8 of the His Obsession series and focuses on Bennett and Laura. For a long time, Laura and her brother have been living with her step-dad, who just happens to be a wealthy, well connected monster. When she ends up arrested for attempted murder, she meets Bennett, the bail bondsman that her step dad hired to get her out of jail. Bennett immediately knows there is much more to the story than what the media is making it out to be and is determined to figure out the truth and keep Laura and her brother safe. Laura’s only focus in life is her little brother Benji and she is willing to do whatever she has to to ensure that he is safe. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

This book should actually be read prior to "His to Tame" as it is about the same bail bond company and family and the events in this book precede the events in the other. Anyhow, that aside, this book is SO much better! Bennet is a very swoon worthy male lead. He chases his girl and catches her but it's not to drag her back for her trial, it's to keep her and her little brother safe from her disgusting step father, I have no words to describe that man's depravity. Laura is on the run from her attempted murder charges and feels like she has no one that she can rely on. I do not blame her for not trusting Bennet and for how long it took her to warm up to him. Laura is a strong woman who does not let life or her circumstances keep her down and she is willing to sacrifice herself for those she loves. This was a good book and it made it onto my read again list.

Laura is in trouble and being charged with attempted murder. Her nasty stepfather gets her bonded out, but she doesn't feel any better at home with him. So, she sneaks away with her little brother. Bennett is the bail bondsman that got her free and now he is on the hunt for her. There's something about Laura that draws Bennett to her. Can he help her? Will she give him a chance?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This story is leading up to a spin-off series. Bennett is a good guy as is everyone who works for his bail bond company. He is drawn to Laura before he ever meets her and he is even more skeptical of her situation once he does meet her. He is going to help her even if she doesn’t want him to.

Laura is smart and manages to evade Bennet more than once. She is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her brother safe but she doesn’t want Bennet to ruin his life and business going up against her stepfather.

Looking forward to seeing more of them in the spin-off series.

Laura had committed a crime and her step father hired Bennet’s bail bond company to get her out of jail. As soon as Bennet saw her he was in love. Things didn’t add up and he was determined to find out the truth as to why Laura did what she did. Engaging story from beginning to end. Their chemistry was amazing. The story had danger, suspense and a puzzle to understand. Bennet was kind, caring and protective. The story was sweet and steamy with a fantastic HEA.

Fantastic story. Laura and her brother Benji are living with her wealthy monster step-father. She's arrested for stabbing a man and ends up meeting Bennett, who put up the bond for Laura. Bennett is at the hearing and when he sees Laura's face he know that there is more to her story than what she's telling. I love how Laura ends up slipping away from Bennett. She keeps him on his toes. This was an exciting and steamy story. This was a great story and fantastic addition to the series.

Bennet and Laura were brought together in an interesting way and from the start sparks were flying. Laura is accused of murder and is on the run but Bennet is determined to help her. His Fugitive Obsession is book eight and a great addition to the His Obsession series. The writing is good, the story is packed with danger, drama, steam, and a great ending. Laura has been arrested and her step father has used Bennet's company to post bond. Once released, she makes a run for it giving Bennet a chase. Once he catches up to her, he is on a mission to find out why. This is a quick read and more focused on the characters even though the plot is what drives them together. Overall, a pretty good read.

This was a great age gap romance. I really liked that the story kept me guessing what was really going on. The storyline was interesting from start to finish and Bennett and Laura had great chemistry. This story also served as a set up for a new series and I can’t wait to read that.
