About the author

Christy Peterson is a nonfiction author who has written more than 40 books and articles, as well as “Nanoland,” a museum exhibit for Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.

Her book INTO THE DEEP: SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND THE QUEST TO SAVE THE OCEAN was selected as a finalist for the Washington State Book Awards (2020 Twenty First Century Books). EARTH DAY AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL MOVEMENT: STANDING UP FOR EARTH (2020 Twenty First Century Books) was included on the Bank Street College of Education's Best Children's Books of 2020 list.

Her most recent work is the Sesame Street "Field Trip" series, which releases January 2022.
